did you check and see how good the ah 'mines ecu' under the back seat was, or did you just throw it out?

Tossed it ,it was not in very good condition,i think it had been there a while.

I bought my 34 a long time ago.. About 2 years after i bought it i went to install red bulbs behind my dash. I took the dash apart then went reaching in behind there and found some wires that seemed a bit "out of place".. So i looked up under there and followed the wires back and found a Greddy full auto turbo timer sitting in there!? hidden amongst all the other wires. All i had to do was turn it back on and mount it and boom. Free turbo timer. :D Also found a Japanese jdm game token coin like thing under my seat..

Found a 1979 20cent piece behind the roof vinyl interior of my 1981 Stanza. So I can only assume the coin was lost there while the car was on the assembly line. Still have the coin somewhere....

Found yellow jackets tucked down the left side of my r32's boot still in there packets! (Hopefully will fit my rb20) :)

Was looking at buying rear hicas lock bar.. Had a look underneath and already had one :)

Nismo front strut bar with Nismo stamped into it (hopefully genuine.. Not sure if those are even rare..

And last but not least about $18 worth of shrappaz!

In my 33 i Found split fires, dodgy wiring in the tail lights, really old jdm gaff tape in the doors, wierd wires all through the car, a USB with the guys birth certificate license and all his tickets, jdm coins, aus coins $14 worth, Japanese rego sticker

And the classic dried up maccas chip

4 children's nursery rhyme CDs behind the dash, played that shit all day!

Shell battery from Japan? You can't buy them here.

Shell service stickers all over and in the car from Japan.

On my gf car I found a threaded head with the spark plug sitting on top and some more threaded bolts on the thermostat housing. It was a fluke it even ran.

found tanabe GF210 on my stock springs heh i knew them orange springs were weird! also found the lock nut key from previous owner's set of nuts, which he had the tyre guys smash off, thus running only 4 nuts (until i bought a new set of nuts). what a nub. it was in the compartment which had the spare tyre jack in it, i noticed something rolling around inside.

    • I can get more photos of it here soon and I plan to make a thread detailing the process. I received the car this way and it sorely needs refinishing. That is probably the most appealing photo of it. Up close it is fading, cracked, and needs to be re-glued. Depending on their condition I'm on the fence between refinishing or making a new set.  Another angle hiding the pimples and razor pumps
    • According to this thread the RS4V with build plate RC40 comes with the R200 diff @ 4.083 ratio as well (mine has said RC40 denotation). We may need to check if the axle stubs are the same pattern as well. The auto subframes have longer axles. However I think yours being a later Series 2 as well, we should have the same bolt pattern for the diff stubs. Unless your upgraded rear also has upgraded axles. Either way, I would not be opposed to pulling the covers to check so I can inspect that  fancy rear core  Also I don't have HICAS. I don't believe that should change things but I hope the people here with heaps more experience than me can correct me if I'm wrong   Let me know if you want to attempt to make this work and I can get some pictures of mine from under the car.
    • It's not that straightforward. For example I have had this code because my ignitor/power transistor wires were unplugged. It knows something is wrong but has no idea what it means. If you want to actually diagnose this I recommend following the service manual flowchart for code 21. Ohm out the harness, coilpacks, inspect the ECU, etc. And again, it's entirely possible for there to be no problem at all but if you're running a different coilpack it'll trigger the code because it doesn't like what it sees.
    • If it (the code) wasn't still current, it should have gone away by itself by now. No, nothing it 10/10. But it is quite likely. Everything else to do with the ignition could still be responsible (which is wires and connectors). The car is an old piece of shit now, so all the wires and connectors are also old pieces of shit.
