I figure if an Evo TD0516G can do 206 kw two may work in the right housings .

To make a GTX67 with the 90 trim cropped turbines it's probably easier to start with a 2867 cartridge and exchange turbines .

If you're going to use GTRS comp housings make sure you get cartridges with the 52T 71mm GT compressor because that what GTRSs have .

A few of you know about the problems and stress I had with Jacky Chan from CJ Motor when I bought my HTA turbo from him.

When I spoke to Mike the Manager from Forced Performance he told me they only had one official distributor here in Australia. Charles from Lamspeed. I was in contact with Charles a few times, he is helpful and knows his stuff.

If you are thinking of buying one of these turbos I would either buy directly from Forced Performance or if you want buy local use Charles from Lamspeed.

This is why i went direct!

What was the result in the end if you don't mind me asking? Did you sort out the turbo/money? I know it's not right to be talking negatively about a workshop/supplier but if they are down right scamming people then fair play I say

Yeah try not to name names or put shit on workshops on the forum, it always ends up badly... Feel free to elaborate just dont put names etc on it if you can avoid it!

Or PM each other if you feel the need...

FP have been pretty busy, looks like a bunch of their range has been getting a bit of a make over - the HTA3076 and HTA3582 now have custom antisurge FP compressor covers with 3.25" intakes, and also their own turbine housing options, the HTA3076 has a .73a/r option, and the already known of .85 option for the GT3582R.

Still hoping to hear results for the 6466TZ, though the HTZ range is growing - Rob has already confirmed a 79HTZ compressor and there are potentially others coming along soon.

The new HTA3076s look like this: 84GT761.jpg

Yeah its the super 94 twin scroll, the motor should be nearly finished by lewis maybe 2 more weeks then shipped to gold coast to be fitted and a run in tune so should be running within a month but I work away so its a pain in the ass trying to organize stuff but getting closer now, heres some more hta porn

Can't wait to see how this beast goes?

Not the prettiest looking thing :P

Just made a build thread so you can keep updated

Haha, was going to wait till its sorted and run all in.... also been bloody busy lately.

Spool seems more or less PT6466 spool Whig is a good start. If it lives up to the HTA 3794 flow numbers then it's a damn good thing

Just a bit of a FYI, while I was discussing turbo options for a mate I was pointed at this - Owen Developments in the UK are partnered with FP and given they have an aftermarket more like ours, the range of FP HTA/HTZ based turbos they have are probably more relevant to NZ and Oz. Here are some which may be particularly interesting here:

This beasty I reckon could be a neat "next step up" for those who an HTA3076 isn't quite enough but full GT3582R type madness is a bit too much:

HTA2865: http://www.owendevelopments.co.uk/product/430/Owen_Developments-Garrett_ODGT2865HTA/

^ This and the HTA2868 for GTRs and Silvias... tbh I'd be particularly interested in the HTA2865 in twin form, not sure how it'd go but the 2868s have apparently worked well but I'd consider them a bit on the large side for most people's taste - especially with that turbine.

HTA3073: http://www.owendevelopments.co.uk/product/429/Owen_Developments-Garrett_ODGT3073HTA/

^ This one should need no introduction, has been discussed but there has been question on if it is still done. It is, apparently :)

The FP Zephyr HTZ compressor on a GT35 turbine, guessing this would be a very nice and probably better matched alternative for those who would otherwise consider a GTX3576R - HTZ3579: http://www.owendevelopments.co.uk/product/389/Owen_Developments-Garrett_ODGT3579HTA/

These all have steel bearing cages, too.

I think the HTA2865 would be good on a 2.8, but a touch big for a 2.6 and the turbine a touch small for a 3.0, I would like to see a HTA3068 as a bolton for those of us with 3.0 cause IMO the 28 turbine becomes a restriction when you get into the mid-high 20 psi range

If a 2.6, 2.8 or a 3.0 are making say 700 hp, would exhaust has volume be any different?

If everything downstream of the engine provides the same resistance to a given amount of flow, but the engine itself provides less resistance to whatever is pumping into it (ie, turbos) then there becomes less intake pressure versus exhaust pressure... which happens to be one of the bigger influences on volumetric efficiency.

I could be wrong, but there may be an answer to our turbine issues soon...

If a 2.6, 2.8 or a 3.0 are making say 700 hp, would exhaust has volume be any different?

All things been equal I believe so but there are to many variables like engine efficiency etc

The 3 would also be doing it at different RPMs as they flow different amounts at the same RPM which was my point, a 3.0 at 8000rpm flow a fair bit more then a 2.6 at the same rpm and even more when you start puming 28psi of boost pressure into it

    • It is a kunfine Android screen . Does anyone know the wirering diagram of the fuga ??
    • just an update to this, poor man pays twice  Tried sanding down the pulleys but it didnt do the trick. Chucked another second hand alternator in the na car which I got for free off my mate and its fixed the squelling. Must have been unlucky with the bearings.    As for my turbo car, I managed to pick up a cwc rb alternator conversion bracket + LS alternator for 250 off marketplace, looked to be in really good nick. Installed it , started the car and its not charging the battery.... ( Im not good with auto elec stuff so im not sure if this was all I needed to do but I verified such by using a multimeter on the battery when the engine was running and I was only getting 12.2v )   I had to modify the earth strap for the new LS alternator , factory earth strap was a 10mm bolt which did not fit the bolt on the LS alternator which was double the size so I cut it off , went to repco bought some ring terminals that fit, crimped it onto the old earth strap and bolted it up to the alternator , started the car and same issue. Ran like shit and was reading 12.2 at the battery.  For a "plug and play" advertised kit thats not very plug and play but alas.  My question is , am I missing something ? Ive been reading that some people recommend upgrading the stock 80 amp alternator fuse to a 140 amp but I dont see how that would stop the alternator charging especially at idle not under load.  Regardless ive pulled it out and am going to get it bench tested by an auto elec tomorrow but it would be handy to know if ive missed something silly or have done something wrong.
    • My wild guess is that you have popped off an intake pipe....check all of the hoses between the turbo and the throttle for splits or loose clamps.
    • Awesome, thanks for sharing!
    • To provide more specific help, more information is needed. What Android screen? What is its wiring diagram? Does the car's wiring have power at any required BAT and ACC wires, and is the loom's earth good?
