R32 Gtr Front Brake Upgrade On My V35

Recommended Posts

The fronts do fit; but you will need to sleeve the mounting ears on the hub as the V series uses 14mm mounting bolts, whereas the GTR caliper is a 12mm bolt.

Some possible backing plate trimming, and the removal of the double flare seat in the bottom of the brake line hole.
The V series uses a banjo bolt setup, but it's very straightforward to do.

The rears will need some dedicated brackets made to fit properly.

Why wouldnt you just get R34 GTT brakes. Not as much fart-assing around and are bigger?

310x30 vs 296x32

R32 have more meat to offset any diameter advantage. Also OEM R32 GTR brakes have curved vane rotors. Cause racecar.

brembo R32 gtr vspec, or standard R32 gtr brakes? if not brembo i suspect its not worth the hassle..and assuming you have the base model non-brembo v35 coupe.

Can tell you it bloody well is worth the hassle.

Brakes on the stock single piston units are woeful. Sumitomos are so much better. Was one of the first things I did to my car.

QFT.

Nothing like being able to stop.

I've got R34GTT brakes and I has plenty of stops.
