Got Dooped By A Gtr Owner In Endevour Hills Anyone Know Where He Lives?

Recommended Posts

Hi all, I recently threw $500 deposit on a guys 33 gtr vspec in midnight purple located in endeavour hills

registration ZKV649

Guys name is TAREK KANDAKJI

phone number is 0432 282 125

Sale was all good, was organising a trucking quote to get it shipped to me, then he called to say he took it to wash it and engine started making a knocking noise on the drive home, i.e. he was raping it and it spun a bearing, I was gutted and he said he would drop the price by $2000 or I could have my deposit back.

I consulted my mechanic knowing they are expensive to work on, he said flag it and get money back.

old mate said, no worries money will be back in your account by the end of week.

no news for a while, give him a call no answer, and now no answer at all.

disappearing act.

this was all before Christmas, did a vin check etc. car was all good.

have pics on my phone

anyway, police wont do anything, but I have mates in Melbourne who are more than happy to go say hi and reclaim my funds

If anyone could pass on his address, would be much appreciated.

cheers Xavier

As much as the guy sounds like a douche bag, and I'm sorry to hear about your experience, I doubt that even if anyone did know the guy they'd pass on his address!

Having said that, a quick look on whitepages shows there's not too many people with that surname in Melbourne (that are listed), and Google maps shows they're not far from Endeavour Hills. Maybe get your mate to drive past the addresses and see if there's an R33 GTR parked out the front.

FYI I enquired about this car a while back, rebuilt by Rajab with "bigger bore clearances" which according to Tarek caused a rattle at cold start because "forged pistons do that".
On top of that my mate knew the history of the car and knew Tarek bought it for cheap as it had been crashed.

Cheers guys, yeah if anyone could help it would be much appreciated, seemed like a good dude, helpfull as and then once he rooted the engine and I decided against it he went quiet and haven't heard anything since, an address is all I need, can sort the rest from there,

cheers again.

tarek the tosser..

Hey mate, Tarek isn't part of Skylines Australia but he is part of the Owners Club on respective facebook pages - I'm sure he'll sort things out with you. Sounds odd for him cos he's a pretty straight guy and real nice too.

    • I can see between the water jacket and cyl 3 there wasn't a hard line of combustion gas. It certainly appears that the issue is coming from there. Yes, checked the tension. All at 100ft lbs where I set them 5 years ago. These blocks can crack but generally when they have been over bored. Mine is only 0.5mm oversize at 89.5mm. They break between cylinders around the 91mm mark. No sign of that with mine. My gut feeling is the head gasket lifted a while back when the studs stretched and i bandaided it by retorquing the studs. It's finally let go.
    • My Nismo 1.5 churps a bit on reverse turns when cold, but besides that feels like a stock diff.
    • Yes, but, I paid cash and I'm pretty sure the receipt was in the bin 10 minutes after I got home Note to self, keep all receipts
    • Bunnings would have just handed you your money back on that one!
    • So, version 4 intake is on its way I was looking at these a while ago but at around $200 or more it was a little pricey for something that might not work, but, I had it in my watch list, but, I got a message saying it was on special, and I had a code thingie to use, it eventually came in at $120 delivered, so BAM, BUY NOW.....LOL I'll need to have a look when it arrives but I feel it will "look" better than what I currently have, as it comes with a PCV fitting, so I will be able to get rid of the alloy pipe that goes to the throttle body with the PCV fitting  Well, that's what the voices in my head are telling me  Oh, and this happened today Yeap, it was a Trojan, and it was cheap, so I headed back to the hardware store and actually spent a little bit more on a heavy duty,  one that was actually recommended by a plumber mate, a Cyclone one with a fibreglass handle that is actually rated for clay The broken shovel will eventually be "modified" into a short handle shovel
