Unhappy Dyno Results..

Had my r32 gts4 tuned. With rb20 td06 8cm housing external gate with all the normally extra mods.

Only made 210rwkw on united 100octane

Runs 21 psi and hits full boost by about 4.8k and stays there till about 7.5k but then the top end drops off very fast compared to other tunes ive seen. A gtst was run the day before with same mods and made 240kw.and when tunes compared ran same amount of boost. Afr pretty much same but his power comes on a little early and keeps climbing..

Was hoping for at least 230-250kw.

Thought maybe had a restriction in echaust but cat was removed before tune and has no muffler.

Is it possible i am losing power through drivetrain having awd??

Or if anyone could think of any other possible issues to check.. will post dyno sheet asap

Yes, you lose roughly 12% from RW to AW.

But was your car run in 4wd on the dyno, or just rwd? If rwd then its not losing any from drivetrain loss.

It was run in rwd.

Im trying to get my dyno sheet up but its saying the files to big. Once i try to work thst out ill post it.

if the boost was coming on a bit later than the other car; perhaps you have a boost leak? are you running an AFM?

If the dyno was having a bad day, of course it will be unhappy... or if someone had run over his cat, or just got his electricity bill in the mail or his mum was mad at him or.... hang on

ah, whats 40 or 50kw a day between friends...

So here is what you do.... go to another couple of dyno's and whoever gives you the biggest dyno sheet is the best dyno operator because they could make more power with your set up than every one else.

^ and put your stockies on, and change the ramp rate so it's shorter

There's been another thread in the last week, also discussing below-par results.

Follow the comments and check your inlet system for boost leaks then come back with the results from that.

Did the old bake bean can test. No leaks.

Checked restrictions in exhaust. All clear.

Put two cans of upper engine cleaner in manifold. To clean carbon. Had a fair bit blew alot of smoke..

any chance it could be wheelspinning on the dyno? my power curve looked like that with crazy amounts of wheelspin, just went flat once boost came on.

maybe not with 208kw though.

what size are your injectors? and is your FPR standard?

It's not a fuel supply issue. His afrs are stable and safe
