Hey there, just joined the forum and also just got me a 91 r32 GTR, I'm kinda familiar with the car, didn't see or talk of many growing up.

But I'll just get strait to the point, I've got this great car and i want to throw some money in it. So far its stock I've got a basic understanding of modding a car but i figured because there's so many people doing it on here maybe you could point me in the right direction. Any help is appreciated thanks.

Consider yourself pointed in the direction of the rb26 dyno results thread stickied in this forum.

Or by pointed in the right direction do you mean have exactly what to do to your car spelled out to you based on not specifying a budget or goal?

Sorry if that comes across harsh, but seriously all the info is on this site, and your question can't be answered as theres not enough info.

No worries dude.

There is obviously heaps of advice to be heard, but without having a goal and budget in mind it's all a waste of time

I would start with a full change of all fluids, plugs, timing belt, tensioner, cam seals, etc to make sure you are starting with a solid base.

One you start modifying it you are opening up a bigger money pit!

Something tells me this is either a troll or someone who bought a car before doing any research AT ALL!!!!

You have a stock R32 GTR that you are wanting to smack 2JZ's with and run a 9.66....... do yourself a favour and sell it as i can see the next thread being 'i got done street racing' or 'my engine blew up, what do i do now?'

lol, i just re read it and read it properly, sorry dude :(

As has already been said, the first thing i always told people to do was a fluid change, water pump and all timing belt bits (belt, bearings, bolt etc.

Good oil is always going to help and i have ALWAYS used Motul 300V 20W60. Have used it in so many cars with minimal wear on even race engines.

A decent catch can will help prevent any blow by going back into the intake which helps in many ways

Last but not least pray to the car gods that the oil pump doesnt fail

So I'm slowly easing myself back into the groove, the car is literally scaring me a bit tbh.....it feels like it has 200hp more than it does on paper and responds like a cammed Ls v8, and-some! 馃槄 every single bit of throttle pedal travel and input has instant response all the way to the floor, zero flat spots or labouring feelings, it's nuts. • If the house has ever been sold before too, they have photos from that etc.
    • I used to do that, but then I got savvy. The benefits of having your phone photos geotagged outweigh the negatives. I just don't publish any photo straight off the phone/out of the gallery/off google photos, etc. If I'm going to use a photo, other than for SMSing to fam, I will always open it on the computer, copy it/otherwise edit it and save down without the original metadata, before using it. For example, posting photos of my engine bay into a thread on here, to show someone a plug or something - I will just screen-cap the section I want to use and paste that section direct from the clipboard into the post. No metadata goes along with.
