Still have yet to have a serious convo on here lol I know some are better than others (turbos) but surely someone must of had a good run with the china gear?! A 9sec blue vlt in soom some time ago used a ebay manifold and that was still running fine after 40+ hard passes and 1000s of ks. My old gas turbine project was fine at 25psi and 630deg c. Let the haters hate and the metal fragments fly!

At least you are approaching it with a good attitude!

A guy in adelaide turbo'd and El falcon with an eBay spec turbo. Worked for him. Does that help?

Unfortunately I don't think that you will find much info on them.

Yeah it does thanks ben. Ive got a hell of a lot of mags (friends own a newsagency) seems about mid 2000s everyone from the nissans to ford 250s were into the china gear, some still are given 300+ people have bought the gt35 copy from ebay. Yolo I say so at least I can try 2nd time round and when it blows just get a garrett. I dont mind the extra work

I don't know the dude, just chatted at the track.

He mentioned that they are ok when you find the good ones. Which I imagine us hard to do.

I remember his turbo on the comp cover said "turbocharger" which I thought was funny. Maybe that's a clue to the good ones?

I watch a video the other day, a drift teams was using an cheap turbo so yeah occasionally there maybe a good one amongst the crap ones. The hunt is on, let the haters hate! Also going ebay wg shock horror! Im running a ebay boost controller, intercooler, pipe work, plenum and exhaust. Hell I should just put a massive sticker on "sponsored by ebay" haha

    • This is a recipe for disaster* Note: Disaster is relative. The thing that often gets lost in threads like this is what is considered acceptable poke and compromise between what one person considers 'good' looks and what someone else does. The quoted specs would sit absurdly outside the guards with the spacers mentioned and need  REALLY thin tyres and a LOT of camber AND rolling the guards to fit. Some people love this. Some people consider this a ruined car. One thing is for certain though, rolling the guards is pretty much mandatory for any 'good' fitment (of either variety). It is often the difference between any fitment remotely close to the guards. "Not to mention the rears were like a mm from hitting the coilovers." I have a question though - This spec is VERY close to what I was planning to buy relative to the inboard suspension - I have an offset measuring tool on the way to confirm it. When you say "like a mm" do you mean literally 1mm? Or 2mm? Cause that's enough clearance for me in the rear :p I actually found the more limiting factor ISNT the coilover but the actual suspension arms. Did you take a look at how close those were?
    • @GTSBoy yeah sorry i know thery are known for colors bud those DBA are too in colors 🙂 Green will be good enough for me
