please no comments about using the search ....just need some driver feed back

moto is stock except for pistons head bolts and extended sump and oil pump..no cams 3'' exhaust.

my 6262bb .63 housing just decided to take a crap (its done 3yrs ) and am interested in something with quick spool up..

i would get full boost 20 psi by 4300 rpm 2nd gear with my old turbo.

just looking for 450whp

have my eyes on a borgwarner s300sx 9180 ...

any feed back would be helpful ..i dont want to try back another precision again...

thanks

450whp for now..my other block is in assembly .should be completed soon which should see 700-800whp but wouldnt be going in my s15 until later next yr. am trying to hit 2 birds with one stone..my final drive is 3.6:1 which makes my gears very long ,slow spool up makes ma car lazyy.

am living in the caribbean so i would be ordering the the usa

i just want a bit of feed bk on the spool time between the 9180 and the 8375

Well I had have an 83/75 on my 2.6 with E85 and made 420rwkw.. Value for money it is a great turbo but it won't make 700rwhp

Results here

A new EFR or precision would net you better results

Na 600 max I would say, we'll find out soon Paulie :D

i was looking over your post earlier..whats the spool up time .how soon would u hit full boost ?

for the price ill take 600 hp any day lol.. am thinking the 8875 might be a reasonable choice for my power goal..but am not going to give good spool time for 100hp and make my car lame..its more street than race used.

thats why am interested in the spool time

Depends what you call full boost, the graph in that link I showed you makes 30psi 4700rpm.. That's on a standard head with standard compression and shit drop in type b cams.

You will need a spot on set up to make 600rwhp with the .91 rear housing on an 83/75

Can't see an 8375 do 7-800 whp.

You've asked for recommendations for 450 whp that's "responsive". Two posts later you want 7-800 whp "later". Which one is it?

Indeed. pretty much a football field of difference between the two..

yea sorry for the mix up its no biggy ..iv decided to go with a 8375 to avoid too much lag.. if this turbo works well then ill up grade when i upgrade to my new moto .these turbos are cheap compared to what am accustom paying for precision ect o buying a new one wouldnt be a big deal breaker

thanks for the help

    • Hi...so a "development" here aswell The swap is "done" and car went "test drive" BUT it seems the clutch(maybe gearbox?) is a little bit sad? I bought this clutch kit https://justjap.com/products/xtreme-heavy-duty-organic-clutch-flywheel-kit-nissan-skyline-r31-r32-r33-push-type "Problem" is that the first gear is hard to put into and it seems that the clutch is not disengaged. It was not the problem with the old clutch...(or like sometime the first gear would not get as easy specialy when the fluid was cold) So? Can it be like...bad "install" or is the clutch wrong ((it should not have been) i done research to get the right one) Or is this "normal" with new clutch and needs to be break in?
    • @Duncan I can try  and thanks i did not thought about VIN and part numbers for 33/34. @GTSBoy yeah it looks like iam gonna do that
    • Forgot to include this but this is the mid section of my steering rack that looks like it has a thread/can be turned with that notch mentioned in the post:
    • Hey everyone, Wanted to pick some brains about this issue I'm having with rebuilding my 33 rack (PN is 49001-19U05). All of the tutorials/videos I've seen online are either R34 or S Chassis racks which seem to be pretty straightforward to disassemble but this process doesnt carry over to my rack. Few of the key differences that I've noted The pinion shaft on the other racks bolt on with 3 torx bolts: Whereas my rack bolts on with 2 allen head bolts: These changes are pretty inconsequential but the main difference is how you pull the actual rack out of the housing. The other skyline/s chassis racks can be taken out by tapping the rack out of the body with a socket and it just slides right out. I'm unable to do that with my rack because there's a hard stop at the end that doesn't let the seal/shaft be tapped out. Can also see a difference in the other end of the rack where mine has a notch that looks like you're able to use a big wrench to unthread 2 halves of the rack whereas the other racks are just kinda set in with a punch. My rack: Other racks: TLDR; Wanted to know if anyone has rebuilt this specific model of steering rack for the R33 and if there were any steps to getting it done easier or if I should just give this to a professional to get done. Sorry if this post is a bit messy, first one I've done.
    • I would just put EBC back on the "I would not use their stuff" pile and move on.
