Turn the wick up a bit further and there is 500. At 25.5 psi it isn't "nosing over" as such. Give it 30-32 and it bust through that 500 kW mark.

You are such a boy !!! lol

When is the car finished, box in and going yet ?

Got a video of the box going from N to 1 to 2 tonight. Quick dyno session for health/tune reasons then pickup

Well done for sticking it out pete, awesome result and a credit to jez. man i can only hope im still into these cars as much as you are by the time im your age. I would love to see you flying down the road in this it would make my day.

Just look at the roof there will be a wheel chair strapped on it, but a red one, very fast :)

^^^ LOL @ the CRD fan boii! You've done nothing but defend them all along and are still trying to!

The result is night and day and goes to show who does the hard yards to get their customers the results they paid for! GTFO out of this thread!

you've done nothing but bash them like a complete twat.

I just don't sit behind a keyboard being high and mighty. Many people had differing opinions of what could of been the issues, none of which we would of known until the car was looked at by Jez. Now we know.

Not once have I defended them, just put another option of opinion, un like you, who clearly just want to voice your blind one sided opinion on the internet.

If you still think any business is successful because of poor customer service or unhappy customers, you're delusional.

I'm happy that Pete's car is doing what he wanted it to do now.

And Pete, not once have I said you've bashed them, it's people like Mick who have done that.

Mate, I know you have not said I bash them, it is over with, lets move on:/

As soon as I get it I will see if I can warm those tyres up :)

Don't bother mate, this 'garage wars' shit has always happened, not worth giving it fuel.

Might be asking you the same question Pete if you launch with that much mumbo. Not sure what the Getrag is good for.

Guess I will have to find out, if it goes tits up I can borrow Pauls 88 , until mine gets here:/

They seem to hold the power quite well... That torque though... Not sure.

Damn Pete, should have kept to a 2.6L... Pfft!

The way it was, I was never worried about the box, I will have to drive it for a while and get the feeling, hope I make it home, I know I will not be able to help myself ,lol

Won't be revving it to 7k and dropping the clutch I don't reckon.

You just never know, but I will get a little movement first before letting it go, smokem

haha, I will work my way up and see how it goes, just want to finally feel it pulling hard :whistling:

theres no war going on here, just facts and back to back comparison on the same dyno from one person working on it to the next

    • You Gregged a whole racetrack!?
    • Look for broken wire or bad connector at the motor. Might not be it, but is worth starting there, as it is easy.
    • Hi everyone, I’m having an issue with my R32 GT-R. Sometimes, when the car goes over a bump or experiences some vibration, the 4WD warning light comes on the dashboard. When I check the code from the control unit in the trunk, it shows Code 19 – ETS Motor. However, everything seems to be working fine — if I turn off the engine and restart the car, the light goes away and everything functions normally. Has anyone experienced this before? Where should I start troubleshooting this issue? Thanks in advance!
    • I'm back from the dyno - again! I went looking for someone who knew LS's and had a roller dyno, to see how it shaped up compared to everything else and confirm the powerband really is peaking where Mr Mamo says it should. TLDR: The dyno result I got this time definitely had the shape of how it feels on the road and finally 'makes sense'. Also we had a bit more time to play with timing on the dyno, it turns out the common practice in LS is to lower the timing around peak torque and restore it to max after. So given a car was on the dyno and mostly dialled in already, it was time for tweaking. Luis at APS is definitely knowledgable when it came to this and had overlays ready to go and was happy to share. If you map out your cylinder airmass you start seeing graphs that look a LOT like the engine's torque curve. The good thing also is if you map out your timing curve when you're avoiding knock... this curve very much looks like the inverse of the airmass curve. The result? Well it's another 10.7kw/14hp kw from where I drove it in at. Pretty much everywhere, too. As to how much this car actually makes in Hub Dyno numbers, American Dyno numbers, or Mainline dyno numbers, I say I don't know and it's gone up ~25kw since I started tinkering lol. It IS interesting how the shorter ratio gears I have aren't scaled right on this dyno - 6840RPM is 199KMH, not 175KMH. I have also seen other printouts here with cars with less mods at much higher "kmh" for their RPM due Commodores having 3.45's or longer (!) rear diff ratios maxing out 4th gear which is the 1:1 gear on the T56. Does this matter? No, not really. The real answer is go to the strip and see what it traps, but: I guess I should have gone last Sunday...
