you don't actually think its a myth do you? like seriously its documented concrete evidence factual information that labor are hopeless with the budget.

Of course it's a myth.

If you are to look at the budget movements over the last 30 years as opposed to simply who had a dedicit/surplus in what year, you see the 2 major issues were precipitated by external causes (recession then gfc) and that after the global recession of the late 80's labor brought the budget back into line gradually and Howard merely inherited a surplus. In fact if you draw it as a line graph it doesn't actually change until well into howards reign.

Treasurers are just glorified puppets, they don't actually balance the books, they take the credit/discredit.

The guys behind the scenes doing the real work are just guns for hire and in many cases have worked for both parties. Some of howards advisors actually worked for rudd afterwards for eg

actually labor are worse and managing the budget some good info here, doesn't say liberal are perfect by any means but as a direct comparison labor run larger deficits and smaller surpluses.

Woke up middle of night from a sharp pain. Something bit me whilst I was asleep. Had to search my room for a snake or spider. I didn't die so wasn't poisonous.

Have been multiple incidents with others being bit by snakes in their beds.

Life in the Pilbara...they don't mention this in the interview/contract.

Yes historically that is accurate. But the trends are more important. Let's not forget how much the LNP love to blame labor for the current trend.

All the labor deficits were on their way to correction, as were all the liberal ones. Also that chart kinda misses the current clusterf**k.

Long and the short of it is they are no different. The thing that f**ks us up internally are the constant elections

Sounds fun. #fifolyf

wtf is with morons doing 60km/h through the whole Burnley tunnel? It changes to 80 about 200 metres into it, yet three lanes of traffic manage to ignore the 3 sets of signs saying 80, feathering their brakes around 58km/h. So rage inducing.

Somehow they notice the 80 signs after the tunnel and the 60 before it, but nothing in between?

Everyone is paranoid/scared driving in a tunnel. Use it all the time when visiting the South-East burbs & get stuck each time.

God forbid you change lanes in a tunnel!

Not sure if your area sees white tails, but if a white tail gets you, you won't cop it bad for a couple of days...be like a mosquito bite until then.

lol thanks, it flared up & caused a rash around it but in the morning its all gone bar the bite-mark. Might have to search the room again tonight.

Did a geadgasket remember? What happened to VWL head job?

Sub 7.5 sec pass on a motorbike is friggin crazy, balls of steel.

Also watching 2x XU falcons run 7.2's neck and neck. Full body, over 1500kgs, twin turbo.

Over to Barry's for a metal gasket, ARP studs timing belt / water pump. A freshen up here and there.

Was looking at that RB25/30 in for sale section for $3000, seemed too good to pass up, but in the end it's lucky dip, as is any second hand engine. My bottom end was running flawlessly and I was happy with power level so the argument was if I could get out of it for a couple of grand and have the work guaranteed then that's the sensible option. Engine will be more track prepared once done and I'll look at an oil cooler / alum radiator too.

    • Take the value it measured as, and pick the closest range available that is above the reading on the screen.   Also, no point just testing the coils. Read what has been said again. You need to test all your wiring, everything.
    • Does the scanner do all the CUs in the car, or only the ECU?
    • @666DAN sorry to bring you and old thread.     I've got my de+t done and it's all running great other than 1 small issue.    Car has remained auto with the na auto and tcm, I've used a stagea ecu with. NIstune board and everything is great other than my gear selection on the dash. It illuminates park, reverse, neutral, 3rd and 2nd when selected . But nothing when in  drive or what gear your in when you pop it into tiptronic. I'm sure there is maybe 1 wire in the ecu plug I need to move to rectify this. Do ya have any ideas?     Cheers man
    • Well I recently changed my rear axles and was thinking if I bumped anything, I have been driving the car for a while now though... But it has been raining today so everything is wet under the wheel arches. Brakes feel fine and can't hear any of the metal screamers, I had a squeak coming from one of the handbrake drums but that seems to have gone away a while ago. I was going down a hill when it lit up and I did feel the abs bite for a second and question why it did it?
    • Correct. Um. I dunno. I haven't cared enough about the way that the NA cars work to know for sure. But..... The 33/34 turbo manual cars have an electronic speed sensor in the gearbox that outputs a +/- (ie, sawtooth AC) voltage signal. That is connected to the speedo. The speedo then outputs a 0-5v square wave (ie, PWM) signal that the ECU (and any other CU on the bus) sees. The speed sensor is NOT directly connected to the ECU. So here's the problem. Your new ECU expects to see the PWM signal, but must somehow be getting a direct signal from the diff speed sensor. Which would suggest that the wiring of the NA car is not the same as the turbo cars. I think you will need to spend some time with (hopefully the wiring diagram for the car) and a multimeter to see what is connected to what. Then, presuming I am correct**, you would then want to separate the ECU speed signal input from the rest of the car's wiring, and probably either buy a speed signal converter, or build one using an arduino (or similar). That would take in the speed sensor signal and output a scaled (and suitably rearranged) signal for the ECU. ** We shouldn't presume that I am correct here, because there might be something else crazy going on. I don't think you could convert the speedo to be fed from the gearbox sensor, because the pulse rate from that sensor is probably different to the diff sensor and then the speedo would read wrongly. And this also wouldn't fix the ECU's problem either, because the ECU doesn't want to see the gearbox signal direct either (assuming that they are all on the same wiring, for some odd NA related reason, see above caveat!) Does this help? Probably not. Can you make it work? Almost certainly. With the above work. You should buy a handheld oscilloscope from Aliexpress so that you can view these signals directly. Connect up the probes and drive the car. Show photos of the screen when drving at known speeds and connected to different places, and we'll see what we can learn about it.
