Put down, he deteriorated a lot in the space of about a week. From walking fine etc to going blind, loss of hearing and you could hear him struggling to breath as well, oh and he started to get nose bleeds.

Good choice. Can't stand when dog owners let their dog cling to shreds of life until absolutely everything fails.

And don't watch Marley & Me, unless you're after some catharsis...

Have lost four dogs at ripe old ages, gets harder the older you are cause you understand mortality a bit better and you have more time spent with them during important and memorable times of your life. Still have 3 alive dogs who will bring me that sadness again in the next 5-7 years.

Damn you dog y u have such short life

Sorry to hear mate. My Jack Russell is 15 years old this year. He is slightly deaf and slightly blind. Still in good health otherwise. I'm cherishing everyday with him as I know at this age they can deteriorate quickly. I just can't imagine living without him as he has been apart of my life since I was 12/13 years old.

Sorry to hear mate :( Hardest thing in the world to say goodbye to a pup. I've said goodbye to two now and it never gets any easier.

My ex took our dog when she left... They had some pretty similar traits in that they both tried to f**k anything that stood still long enough. At least the dog had loyalty.

The last time I saw my pup it was like he knew that it was going to be the last time, and he was crying and jumping all over me and licking me. There is no substitute for the love of a good dog.

Does anyone give a shit when cats die?

My old boss had an actual full-tilt breakdown when her chicken died. She was a c**t so I assume the chicken died by Seppuku,

Didn't they do a study recently that essentially proved that cats are asshats? Something about dogs producing 5x as much Oxytocin as cats after playing with their human.

Dogs are much more social creatures I think and the pack mentality is in their ancestry; cats tend to be solo hunters like tigers (though lions do it in groups). From what I've seen in homes with multiple pets the dogs are always sticking together and watching what each other does, whilst multiple cats sort of do their own thing.

I've never had a cat so maybe I just don't get it. I feel like if I wanted an animal that found a comfortable spot and laid there for hours without moving or making any sort of noise, occasionally scavenged for food, never cleaned up after itself and otherwise wholly ignored my presence, I'd just continue living with my current housemate.

I prefer cats over dogs.

Still like dogs though, so this is a "cat is more suited to me" thing over cats being superior to dogs.

Dogs are awesome, but they do require more effort to maintain, so to speak - Which isn't for everyone.

    • Maybe they'll look to do a bunch of presales to help inject some cash fast for their financial issues...
    • Does it also misfire equally when revving?   Josh is very correct in what you should do. The coilpack harness wiring loom itself is a known problem due to its age and the number of heat cycles it has gone through. Throwing parts at a vehicle to diagnose the issue isn't a smart or good way to do it. Secondly, you may have a bad coil pack, you pop replacements in, they fix that issue, but messing with the harness breaks it, so the issue persists. So now you think "well it wasn't the coil packs" and have to continue chasing your tail, potentially swapping back in your shit coil packs and returning the good ones (yes, I've seen people do this because 'it wasn't the problem' and they want to save money). And suddenly, you've got two issues with the same symptoms...   Diagnose, don't use the spare parts shotgun.
