That has little to do with a gearbox's power handling ability

Also, case in point...if he doesn't do the 25 conversion he'll be keeping the 20 box anyway

This gearbox will be no worse off bolted to a 25 running much the same power as his 20 - synchros are driving style, oil and clutch setup

Just caught up on 5 pages, missed the exciting mattress talk.

May as well buy a ~1k mattress and replace it every couple of years once it gets shit right?

Dezz mate of mine is selling his bmw x6 rims they look phat (20x10 20x11) but then saw you have new rims already on insta :\

New car came with new rims

nup, too big.

I assume all the other census' are treated like this, but it certainly feels weird agreeing to it...

Does Liam agree to their name and address and other information on this form being kept by the National Archives of Australia and then made publicly available after 99 years?

Cunts are assuming you won't live long enough to care about them making your information mainstream

Puts a bitter taste in the latte

the archives and ancestry people already has lots of records from much less than 100 years. im not sure what sort or how much requires a legit reason to access, but im sure if someone tried hard enough...

though i doubt it would contain information like income, residential address (current and previous), employer, number of cars on property, location of work for that week etc. Couldnt they just specify what information will be released to public? surely it really should only be name, DOB, country of origin, completed schooling. Does anyone asides from research/statisticians care about any more than that?

If I was still doing life drawing classes I would have been stumped on what my employer actually produces...

Um bruh, Torque kills gearboxes, not Power. So yes, it will be worse off.

Edit: Jonnoo - Definitely cut.

Power is directly related to torque, son. These engines aren't different enough that if producing the same power there will be a large difference in peak torque. You'd be talking ~50nm at best. The 25 will bring on the torque and power earlier and that's about it. Hardly cog-stripping material. Unless he's button clutching it with a locker and slicks he'll be right.

    • There's restrictor pills in the stock boost control hoses. That's how they set the amount that was bled off and hence the "high" boost setting. The usual mod in the day was to remove it and send the "high" boost setting up to about 14 psi.
    • Thanks Duncan, that's the best info I've read. Furthermore after learning about the PCM programming side controlling the factory boost solenoid, the purpose of the solenoid is to "bleed" boost when pin 25 is earthed, thus allowing spring pressure in the wastegate actuator to overcome diaphragm boost pressure, thus closing or reducing the position of the wastegate flap creating more boost as the turbo is able to spin faster. It's pretty cool to see a designated Pill to do exactly this, would have liked to have seen it with a tiny filter over the end for those moments in vacuum.  The constant bleed pill has now been removed completely from the system and solenoid boost control has been restored once again.   Case closed 😂
    • The wideband reading is meaningless if it's not running. Why are you using shitty old sidefeeds on any engine, let alone a Neo? What manifold and fuel rail are you using to achieve that? Beyond that, can't help you with AEM stuff as I've never been their ECU/CAS combo.
    • Manual boost controllers (where a little of the boost was bled off) were quite common back in the day, because they were cheap and easy. Generally they had a manual adjustment screw rather than being fixed like yours. Down side is they always bleed boost, not just when you want them to so an electronic boost controller that uses a solenoid will have less lag.
    • Hello , im new here and i have A31 home build  RB25det neo stock eng / turbo  aem ems 2 blue connector  aem 3.5 map aem cas disk aem wideband connected to ecu  355 lph pump 550 nismo yellow injectors side feed aftermarket regulator  and won’t start with base aem tuner basic tune eventually flipped cas 180 degree so it triggers on correct stroke not in exhaust cycle  Now it won’t start Wideband reads 10 and 11 at lowest fuel setting  and will share calibrations soon for aem tuner i think something is wrong in aem tuner    please if you have any information, am very grateful
