Just quietly at least XGTRX knows what he wanted in his car, and didn't start a 100+ page topic that could have been resolved very quickly.

But that's none of my business.....

Just love smugness in a man Anthony

I am glad XGTRX knew what he was doing, I didn't , but I hung in there and the results I wanted speak for themselves  you blokes do not have to like it , I do and thats all that matters, lol

Just quietly, you must have something wrong in your head to read 100 pages of drivel that you obviously did not like, I start reading a thread and if I do not like it , I STOP READING IT, DUH!

I find idiocy amusing... And that thread...

Seriously though you are effectively laughing at XGTRX why not just accept what he likes, and the fact you don't like it, and leave it at that? You are not in much of a position to comment on anything, hence my previous statement.

In fact isn't it the whole point being a car enthusiast? you do what you want for YOU and no one else. Many people probably think my car doesn't have enough power, i tell them it's a good thing it isn't their car. Anyone that knows me well enough knows i say "GTR's are supposed to have twins, if i didn't want twins, i'd buy a gts-t" yet the gains for singles are well known, hell my tuner even keeps telling me to go a single like a 6262 with E85, he laughs and thinks it's a waste of a good engine. Point is: everyone has a different opinion.

You enjoy your car, i'm not taking anything away, i'm sure it has been setup perfectly for what you want. But for gods sake have some respect for other people. Just because he likes a different setup (that you hated) doesn't make it horrible and laughable. Honestly how old are you mate? I would have thought by now you would have learned a bit of humility.

Shit I have to ask or I will die, how would you have fixed it quicker ?

I am sure it would have to be MUCH better than mine, it was hideous to drive and try it with Quad clutch in peak traffic for 1 1/2 hours and you will understand why I hated the heap of shit :bomb_ie:

I am putting up my old Dyno off the 2.6 so some of these blokes know what I call laggy, so they will know what I mean and why I tried so hard to get the car I wanted to drive.

Now, I showed you mine, show me yours!

Nothing to show. my -5 s setup was like any other -5 350kw dyno graph, nothing special, nothing different. TBH I have a real issue with dyno graphs anyway as dynos are basically tuning tools and the graphs only give info on wot in one gear, which really has no indication on how they perform in real world day to day driving. For what's it worth I pulled 123 mph with a f**ked transfer case and a slipping clutch and a 60ft of 2.8s, the power is there or there abouts.

The best dyno I know of is sitting my arse in the seat and experiencing the car not looking at some wot graph.

Where is xGTRx's dyno result?

Post it up and show us what we are missing.

When I get the TO4Z tuned I will put it up for shits and giggles.

Hopefully I have nothing till 4000 and then it goes mental. Thats whats important to me regardless of the peak power figure.

And I also need to block off the BOV as it doesn't dose enough at the moment.

:D

I never thought I would say this, but, you are an idiot. XGTRX seems like a nice bloke to me and how his car runs is his business. He has a bit of fun and a few digs about response in his posts and I/we dig back about lag, fun , not serious, joking , playing around ! Of course we have our preferences , duh ?

I care not about anyone elses car or how it runs , what KWs it is, laggy , not laggy , blue or green, well maybe I like some other colours better than mine. I do not give a crap if it is 20kw or 1000kw and I do not get jealous of other blokes cars. I ogle them because they look great and love reading some of the builds on SAU, so take a chill pill or maybe you need to up your medication??

Not good enough , I want to see how it runs now and experience the mental joy of lagging around Melbourne in peak hour, lol

now I am jealous of that

This is the way to get off topic, not the other drivel , haha

    • Even more fun, leave all the ADAS stuff plugged in, but in different locations, hopefully avoid any codes!   And honestly, all these new cars with their weird electronics. Pull all the electronics out Duncan, and just shove an aftermarket ECU and if needed a trans controller in, along with a PDM. Make it run basic but race car styled!
    • To follow up a question from earlier too since I had the front bar off again (fking!) This is what is between the bumper and the drivers side wheel And this is the navigator side, only one thing but its a biggy! So basically....no putting coolers in the wheel arches without a lot of moving other stuff. Assuming I move to properly race prepping this car I'll take that job on and see how the computers respond to removing a whole bunch of ADAS modules
    • So I prepped the car for another track day on Wednesday (will be interesting to see coolant temps post flushing out and the larger reservoir, with a forecast of 3-14 being 20o cooler than last time I took it out). Couple of things to mention; since I am just driving the car and not taking a support vehicle, I took the rear seats out and just loaded the back up Team Trackday style. Look at all that space! To cover off removing the rear seat....it is weird (note the hybrid is probably different because it wouldn't have folding rear seats) Basically, you remove the lower seat base, very similar to a r series but it is a clip that pulls forward to release the base rather than it being bolted down. Easy Then, you need to remove the side section of the rear seat on each side. There is a 14mm head nut at the bottom of the side piece, the it slides upwards off a hook at the top to release; you also need to unhook the seatbelt from the loop at the top. Then the centre piece is weird. You need to release/fold the seats forward with the tab in the boot on each side From there, there are 2,x12mm headed bolts holding the rear of each seat to the folding bracket, under the trim between the rear seat and the boot (4x christmas tree clips there, they suck). The seat is out but you can see where the bolts attach to the bracket
    • As discussed in the previous post, the bushes in the 110 needed replacing. I took this opportunity to replace the castor bushes, the front lower control arm, lower the car and get the alignment dialled in with new tyres. I took it down to Alignment Motorsports on the GC to get this work done and also get more out of the Shockworks as I felt like I wasn't getting the full use out of them.  To cut a very long story short, it ended up being the case the passenger side castor arm wouldn't accept the brand new bush as the sleeve had worn badly enough to the point you could push the new bush in by hand and completely through. Trying a pair of TRD bushes didn't fix the issue either (I had originally gone with Hardrace bushes). We needed to urgently source another castor arm, and thankfully this was sourced and the guys at the shop worked on my car until 7pm on a Saturday to get everything done. The car rides a lot nicer now with the suspension dialled in properly. Lowered the car a little as well to suit the lower profile front tyres, and just bring the car down generally. Eternally thankful for the guys down at the shop to get the car sorted, we both pulled big favours from our contacts to get it done on the Saturday.  Also plugged in the new Stedi foglights into the S15, and even from a quick test in the garage I'm keen to see how they look out on the road. I had some concerns about the length of the LED body and whether it'd fit in the foglight housing but it's fine.  I've got a small window coming up next month where I'll likely get a little paint work done on the 110 to remove the rear wing, add a boot wing and roof wing, get the side skirt fixed up and colour match the little panel on the tail lights so that I can install some badges that I've kept in storage. I'm also tempted to put in a new pair of headlights on the 110.  Until then, here's some more pictures from Easter this year.
    • I would put a fuel pressure gauge between the filter and the fuel rail, see if it's maintaining good fuel pressure at idle going up to the point when it stalls. Do you see any strange behavior in commanded fuel leading up to the point when it stalls? You might have to start going through the service manual and doing a long list of sensor tests if it's not the fuel system for whatever reason.
