475kw supercharged LS9 to be available in 250 Commodores.

http://www.news.com.au/technology/innovation/motoring/holden-gets-green-light-from-detroit-to-build-165000-commodore-with-supercharged-corvette-power/news-story/4a4519edef971b2cd9219a4eb92b15aa

with performance that will outpace the latest Porsches and Ferraris.

Sounds kinda exciting. Will be cool to see an Australian built car really stick it to Ze Germans.

Gee another chump driven hero car that we need to put up with drag racing every skyline on the freeways.

Oh well we have another ego to crush I suppose.

Don't forget the new ford mustangs! I've already come across a few full blown spanners weaving in and out of peak hour traffic.

Hmm American muscle power plant in the iconic Aussie Commo.

Not sure how that might be received..

Anyone remember the reaction of Holden fans when the VL came out with the RB30.

They were disgusted at it, but much later became very popular as everyone slowly realised the potential of the RB.

Another mongrel Holden.

LS's are all american engines and been in holdens since the VTs.

Aussies have always loved the SB chevs since I think 1969 with the HT monaros.

And Chev have been rethinking the Camaro is well so we may yet see it in Aus......then we will all be able to buy 'new age' american muscle if we can afford it. And there is always the Camry :woot: for us poor downtrodden plebs.

But we all be driving Tesla's by then!!!

    • Oh, also, forgot to add these photos I believe.
    • Thought i'd update on this. I was able to get in contact with Craig Lieberman and later on Darryl Alison (owner of Kaizo Industries). Darryl was able to help me verify that my car was in fact one of theirs and is helping me find more info on mine !
    • There's restrictor pills in the stock boost control hoses. That's how they set the amount that was bled off and hence the "high" boost setting. The usual mod in the day was to remove it and send the "high" boost setting up to about 14 psi.
    • Thanks Duncan, that's the best info I've read. Furthermore after learning about the PCM programming side controlling the factory boost solenoid, the purpose of the solenoid is to "bleed" boost when pin 25 is earthed, thus allowing spring pressure in the wastegate actuator to overcome diaphragm boost pressure, thus closing or reducing the position of the wastegate flap creating more boost as the turbo is able to spin faster. It's pretty cool to see a designated Pill to do exactly this, would have liked to have seen it with a tiny filter over the end for those moments in vacuum.  The constant bleed pill has now been removed completely from the system and solenoid boost control has been restored once again.   Case closed 😂
    • The wideband reading is meaningless if it's not running. Why are you using shitty old sidefeeds on any engine, let alone a Neo? What manifold and fuel rail are you using to achieve that? Beyond that, can't help you with AEM stuff as I've never been their ECU/CAS combo.
