DoctorG
Buying a GTR, and I need your help! Hey guys, I've been looking for a clean BNR32/BCNR33 for a while now. I've mostly looked on carsales and it left me with a few questions, hopefully you guys would know the answers, The price range of the cars? How much do they go for these days? Didn't make sense to me how a V-Spec33 would be cheaper than a normal BCNR on carsales... Importing? Costs vs benefits? What should I look out for when buying a GTR? Never bought a car this age before. For the long time owners, reliability issues? Thanks in advance, I'm looking forward to your replies. Aussie_Delivered_R32_GTR
Hi........ I don't have time at the moment to answer all your questions but this car seems to be a pretty good indicator of where the market is at. http://www.carpoint.com.au/all-cars/dealer/details.aspx?R=OAG-AD-13728478&Cr=9 Please note I have NO VESTED INTEREST in this car but like the basic original presentation of the car. That said, the N1 add ons are desired by many but not me. 18 months ago a similar car would have been $25K but the facts are these cars have zoomed up in value. To import, compliance and register a grade 3.5/B car your looking at around $30-$35k. This car is slightly better than that and you can see and drive it. Anyway, this gives you a starting point. Cheers, Bob. 1 Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/467706-buying-a-gtr-and-i-need-your-help/#findComment-7791105 Share on other sites
GTR-N1
To add to Bob's presentation above, there's been another R32 GTR for sale at the Gosford Car Museum for $33000. It's condition might be described as 3.5B or 3B. 1 Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/467706-buying-a-gtr-and-i-need-your-help/#findComment-7791108 Share on other sites

s2d4
Lower compression engine maybe, 150 is fairly worn let alone 145. I would be looking at around the 160 and above. Check the foot well, the chassis rails, the sills, around all the glass. JGTC
Few good threads, info is subjective though. Best when you find a car, let us know what area it's in, and we can recommend a shop near there. http://www.nissansilvia.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=194777&st=60 http://www.evolutionoz.net/forums/index.php?/topic/54945-good-places-to-get-evos-servicedmodified/ 1 Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/467706-buying-a-gtr-and-i-need-your-help/#findComment-7791316 Share on other sites
