Hey,
Without hijacking your thread lol,
what do you guys think of wastegate coming off the exhaust housing?
After getting my new kit (as pics attached) i have had a few comments both for and against.

Things to consider
dedicated track car, stock RB20DET motor, arp head studs, E85, 1000cc injectors, Nistune, 460 Walbro fuel pump direct wired.
Turbo is a Pulsar G30-770, (AKA Pulsar GTX3071) .83 A/R, vband entry and exit with T51 mod
Turbosmart 45mm wastegate 14psi spring installed and includes additional assortment of spring pressures
Custom RB20/25 Tubular manifold with v-band collector ‘Prioritised” wastegate flow to avoid boost creep
Each internal join match ported for best flow (even the join you cannot see once manifold is built) “Steam pipe” coated in Ceratec hi-temp paint Conical expander coming out of EWG to 50mm. 50mm screamer pipe, 3” stainless “starter dump”. Turbo v-band welded to the tubing, 90deg elbow installed, flex bellow included

No objections, better boost control than say your typical 6Tits manifold with the gate outlet perpendicular to the collector followed by another 90 degree bend.

The welds look great too!

Was quite worried about missing the boat for a moment there. Palms sweaty, arms spaghetti and all that. Got one though. Looking forward to it!

The haul, just replacement clips and shit, ABS relay, gearbox dust shield, AC condenser drain, window guide, etc.

This R33 problem is worse than a cocaine addiction.

Did you actually get a fast Amayama order ?

Fast enough, I once ordered something from Perth and it literally took 6 weeks to get to my door.

I'm still waiting for that cam trigger from NZ for the white 32. How long did it take to get yours ?

At the time, I recall it coming the same week I ordered it!

But this was also when NZ Wiring was starting off, so not too sure.

So guessing no bmw purchase then.........

Loving that you are committed to getting this car back to better factory. Its all these little bits that make a street car nice.

Oh trust me, if someone came to me and said I'll straight swap you my F80 LCI Comp I would do it... beg for forgiveness later.

Mrs Dose Pipe said you're not allowed to sell the R33 because you're an idiot and will end up with another.

Not going to get change from 10k on a gearset installed.  $30k++ for sequential.   I know you run the risk of a damaged used one and parts are hard to get but as a street car gearbox its really hard to beat. If you enjoy a more traditional manual, its the choice no question.
