MIG, oh and it needs a gun apparently.

A mate who welds said its "a pretty good welder".

I was going to just do the buy a cylinder from bunnings thing.

Mig is pretty good, quiet universal and somewhat easy to use, the hardest thing is setting them up. Most guys just set them up by the sound.

Yeah perfect. They don't offer the 'trade - n - go gas' at my local Bunnings, so Gasweld/Sydney tools are the go-to for me.

Out of all the builds, all the hectic inshallah GT-R builds, this is still my favourite build

Hahahah!!! Thanks so much man! That means more than you can imagine actually dude. Especially with all the awesome GTR's on here!!

Do people still build GT-Rs on here?!

? Hmmm. Not sure! Apparently Pulsar > GTR ??

Since the car has been off the road for so long, the brake rotors had began rust. So gave them some love in the bead blaster and scuffed the brake pads up (figure 8's on a sheet of 80 grit)

Flushed and bled all the brakes, for good measure.

It's getting alot closer to driving it now!

I've had good success scuffing pads before, same pricess pretty much.

How far away is your tuners dyno?

Yeah it's worked quiet well, spoiler alert... the car is currently driving ?

I've been slack updating this.

Untuned, however AFR's look excellent. Haven't given it a decent rev, obviously, however I'd be happy to cruise on the highway with it. Drives surprisingly well for a map, which isn't even 'SR20 Specific'

The dyno is less than 100kms from me.

Had to slightly modify the front cross member to allow extra clearance for the 4-1 headers.

After that, finally drove the thing!!

Obviously light load, watching AFR's like a hawk.

Drove it down to a mates shop where I did a wheel alignment.. for the street. For now..

That is a nice exhaust, along with the rest of the car

Thank you very much! The outside of the car definitely isn't the best. However that's never been my strong suit either.

I'm planning to have a small amount of paint and panel done in the new year, although I'm not going all out, as the car will be used, not a trailer queen / garage ornament.

Looking good.

Slightly more rear camber? Is that a FWD thing?

Engine bay looks mint.

Basically it helps the rear end hang on through a corner, prevent the back end over taking the front lol.

Thanks man!!!

Update: car is at the tuners now

    • So either way it is gearbox out and look what is wrong?  I know about the input shaft bearing. Even before swap/new clutch the it sounded exactly like this: So is that inout shaft bearing or the other was installed backwards?  And can some please tell me the part number for that input shaft bearing? The gearbox is small box from R34 N/A and number is FS5W71C. Thank you
    • I am yet to see anyone ever regret a quaife or helical. ...other than drifting/skidpan duties. I kind of want to upgrade my factory helical with a Quaife (but really it's not ultimately that different, and is a MASSIVE UNDERTAKING), that's how good the hype is about them, that I want to try them 'just to see'
    • D2 and Ksport are essentially the same thing and basically just generic Taiwanese manufacture. Better than ChinaBay crap, but... not top shelf. Öhlins have got to be some of the best dampers around, so likely to be a good option. It's going to get to the point though where I suggest you buy from Oz. We have at least 2x excellent options here. If I were you though, I'd be talking to KW about doing something for the R33. There's bugger all difference between that and the 32. In GTR land, anyway.
    • KW only offers a set for the R32 GTR. Popular options are D2 racing, Ksport or Öhlins. I have a D2 Racing coilover set, though I don't know for sure which one.
    • Well, the good news is you have more than one very good option for new coilovers in and around your country. Worth the drive over to KW to talk about GTR stuff.
