The silver looks magic. Why didnt you ask for twin gates? I got this done for my S15, a bit more complicated when it comes to fabwork but a better result i.m.o.

If it's split to the gate like the Sinco manifolds then there is 0 difference.

Find out how much better of a deal you can get if you order 2x Sinco manifolds.

I'm after the T3 twin scroll, single 50mm gate for RB25 (you should go twin scroll too haha). 6 boost ones are nearly bullshit twin scroll. If you look carefully it's not split all the way to rhe gate.

I can let you know. But I won't be ordering shit again till I move house.

I've managed to secure another property today so I reckon I'll order around this time next month. But I don't know if that means we'll get them before xmas/new year?

I was going to get a 50mm twin scroll in that stainless burn finish. Works out the same price as ceramic coating+6 boost and it looks like you get such a better finish!

On another note! Mick has finished his puzzle and I need to get that picked up, Put it on a pallet with everything else I got. Organize the gary for the new joint and move!

I can't vibe with the silver. I am going for a nice black everything, Keep it simple clean look.

The sinco should also see me good for the single 50mm.

Woohoo! Skids!

Don't worry, I'm in no hurry. This is for a future setup lol. I need to finish off my current build. I still owe Hypergear data that I've promised him about 2 years ago

Well packed up the garage today for the move and picked up the motor today too!

For those wondering;

CP 86.5mm Forged pistons
Tomei Poncam Type B (260 Degree 9.15mm Lift)
New valves (Brand unknown, Mick organized them for me as I didn't have the ability to address the concern when it arose)
N1 oil pump w/ Nitto oil pump gears
N1 water pump
Nitto crank collar
Nitto head gasket
Oil Restrictors

Slapped on the good old tyre+pallet combo. Not really bothered to put it on an engine stand as Ill be moving over the next fortnight or so.

On the plus side, My new garage is huge! (By my standards) and I have found all my sockets except my 15mm short...

First time I have had a couple of hours to work on her, Managed to make up the TPS adaptor (which is shit and I am going to re-do asap), Fit the idle control valve, Fit up in the injectors, Fit fuel rail, Fit fuel pressure reg, Fit intake manifold, Fit throttle body, Run coolant lines etc. Finally getting some work done to her!!!

I need to buy myself an oil cooler, Coolant hose kit, Some fuel line and vacuum line so I can finish off this side of the motor and move on over to the next.

In the mean time I might paint up the rocker covers something different.

Having more work space is probably the best thing ever!

So finally got around to getting a manifold. After the sickening experience of 6boost figured it would be best I just get someone to make what I want.

Clocked the TB as per Neo's advice, Got the dude that made the manifold to split the pulse as per Dose's advice too!

Wondering if anyone knows if I've taken a bad source of coolant for the turbo? (Last image, Where it goes to the manifold)

Nothing exciting

Remember kids, Try to be sober when working on the car. I forgot to lay the clear down...
(In my defense I have 4 kids and I am usually either working on her in 10 minute windows or at night when everyone's asleep)

I feel like I'm hitting a bit of a wall again with so much going on in life, Just gotta remember why I am doing this and keep an eye on the prize. It's been 3 days since I said I would drop the box and do the push/pull conversion, service the box and refit but the heart just isn't there right now.

Does anyone have pics of their alternator/AC/Power steering/ancillaries setups? It's been a while since I took this all apart and I just want to make sure I have not forgotten anything.

when you put the cams in what other bits did you have to replace? shims, buckets, seats, springs etc or was it a complete new setup?

am pondering on fitting some poncams to my neo, but i wanna get an idea of total parts required so i can suss out the cost before i commit.

Complete new setup bud, But honestly; I would have just dropped them in if I wasn't rebuilding the whole motor. There was no real need to complete rebuild; It was just a measure I decided to take to ensure some sorts of longevity out of the motor considering it's application.

Here's a photo of a NEO motor with R33 ancillaries bracket (the AC/PS pump were both cable tied on the body so I wouldn't need to regas lol)

You legend! I swear back in the day it was easy to find photos of this shit, Now days everything has been lost from imageshack/photobucket and all that other shit we thought would still be around!

--------

Side note; Not sure if buyers regret. But I have been staring at the rims a lot thinking I made the wrong decision. Always loved the rim but I don't know if it will work with the car.

Peoples thoughts?  Sell them or use them?

I feel like it would need more width and lower offset to pull this style rim off but that would also mean a wide body and another 10k thrown at the car+re barrelling.

    • Even more fun, leave all the ADAS stuff plugged in, but in different locations, hopefully avoid any codes!   And honestly, all these new cars with their weird electronics. Pull all the electronics out Duncan, and just shove an aftermarket ECU and if needed a trans controller in, along with a PDM. Make it run basic but race car styled!
    • To follow up a question from earlier too since I had the front bar off again (fking!) This is what is between the bumper and the drivers side wheel And this is the navigator side, only one thing but its a biggy! So basically....no putting coolers in the wheel arches without a lot of moving other stuff. Assuming I move to properly race prepping this car I'll take that job on and see how the computers respond to removing a whole bunch of ADAS modules
    • So I prepped the car for another track day on Wednesday (will be interesting to see coolant temps post flushing out and the larger reservoir, with a forecast of 3-14 being 20o cooler than last time I took it out). Couple of things to mention; since I am just driving the car and not taking a support vehicle, I took the rear seats out and just loaded the back up Team Trackday style. Look at all that space! To cover off removing the rear seat....it is weird (note the hybrid is probably different because it wouldn't have folding rear seats) Basically, you remove the lower seat base, very similar to a r series but it is a clip that pulls forward to release the base rather than it being bolted down. Easy Then, you need to remove the side section of the rear seat on each side. There is a 14mm head nut at the bottom of the side piece, the it slides upwards off a hook at the top to release; you also need to unhook the seatbelt from the loop at the top. Then the centre piece is weird. You need to release/fold the seats forward with the tab in the boot on each side From there, there are 2,x12mm headed bolts holding the rear of each seat to the folding bracket, under the trim between the rear seat and the boot (4x christmas tree clips there, they suck). The seat is out but you can see where the bolts attach to the bracket
    • As discussed in the previous post, the bushes in the 110 needed replacing. I took this opportunity to replace the castor bushes, the front lower control arm, lower the car and get the alignment dialled in with new tyres. I took it down to Alignment Motorsports on the GC to get this work done and also get more out of the Shockworks as I felt like I wasn't getting the full use out of them.  To cut a very long story short, it ended up being the case the passenger side castor arm wouldn't accept the brand new bush as the sleeve had worn badly enough to the point you could push the new bush in by hand and completely through. Trying a pair of TRD bushes didn't fix the issue either (I had originally gone with Hardrace bushes). We needed to urgently source another castor arm, and thankfully this was sourced and the guys at the shop worked on my car until 7pm on a Saturday to get everything done. The car rides a lot nicer now with the suspension dialled in properly. Lowered the car a little as well to suit the lower profile front tyres, and just bring the car down generally. Eternally thankful for the guys down at the shop to get the car sorted, we both pulled big favours from our contacts to get it done on the Saturday.  Also plugged in the new Stedi foglights into the S15, and even from a quick test in the garage I'm keen to see how they look out on the road. I had some concerns about the length of the LED body and whether it'd fit in the foglight housing but it's fine.  I've got a small window coming up next month where I'll likely get a little paint work done on the 110 to remove the rear wing, add a boot wing and roof wing, get the side skirt fixed up and colour match the little panel on the tail lights so that I can install some badges that I've kept in storage. I'm also tempted to put in a new pair of headlights on the 110.  Until then, here's some more pictures from Easter this year.
    • I would put a fuel pressure gauge between the filter and the fuel rail, see if it's maintaining good fuel pressure at idle going up to the point when it stalls. Do you see any strange behavior in commanded fuel leading up to the point when it stalls? You might have to start going through the service manual and doing a long list of sensor tests if it's not the fuel system for whatever reason.
