Well, if I remember correctly, 12.30 became 2.30 at the dyno day for you, and we don't want you to miss any time thrashing that car of yours around the track:p

Plus one more. My mate in his 200SX (DEREK) can come, and maybe another friend in his Cosworth Mercedes.

Good news , Derek works in the entertainment industry, so if we all bring cameras and get some joy footage, then he will be able to compile it into a pretty professional vid for us Skyline owners.

c what we can do guys

but most likely i will be going for lap times this track day. the gtr is currently undergoing the cheapst handeling modes in the world (still will have standard suspension) to make it a 10* faster through the corners

should sound abit nastier cause someone has a side pipe now lol

but yea assuming the mods work out a treat its drift time

and we have more power now as well so 3rd and 4th gear drift is back yea baby

ohh baby

pete

the 180 got full koni adjustables today and strut braces are coming next week.

i have a bad feeling i am gonna get tonnes of brake fade! :)

also - its my birthday that day, i have requested a freebie, but nobody seems to have acknowledged it! :)

Oops :(

I just realised that I'm planning on going to the drags the night before at EC, so I'd have to wake up super early to change the wheels to make it for this trackday...

I'll have to see how I go... Lots of stress on my poor car too :D

Wine Red cars not allowed !!!    Speshly ones with big FMICs, ricey water spray system, blue neons at the back and 10" subs rolling around in the boot !!

Okay, BASTARDO! :D :D :)

Can't wait,

All,

Sorry I have not been on line for about 2 months, but I have had lots of distractions. Work has been flat out and we moved into our new house about 6 weeks ago and I have not had time to do sh!t except try and make it look like a home before Xmas.

Well I am a 50% chance of coming for a few hours on the 19th. I dislocated my shoulder playing touch and I am still having trouble raising my right arm, so driving is a little painful.

I have not had time to wash my car in the last 3 months, except for that wedding Zane and I did about 3-4 weeks ago, so my car is not really ready, for staters I need new tyres before venturing out onto the black horizon.

Or I could just spend the day drifting and send my tyres to the after life. What I might do is get the tyres striped and rotated so I actually have some rubber on my outside tyre walls, that should see the poor old yoka's to there grave. As testament to the tyre quality of those Yoka A Specs, I have done 42,000 KM and 10 trackdays and 1 cams licence 2 day, and they are still going hard. I lit them up in the wet weather the other day and I still could not get them to let go for more than a 1/2 a second.

Anyway, I should be cool for a few sessions depending on how I go at work. If its quiet I will see you early, if not catch you all later on in the day.

Fatz,

I will bring your boost up kit so try and see if you can have the money on the day, if not I’m sure we can work something out.

P.S. I have $300 worth of oil cooling pipework and connectors for a front mount oil cooler if any one wants them.

What do you need, a $300 oil cooler, $20 sandwich plate and my piping and connectors. I did it on my car but the guy charges me $450 for custom pipework, so I have this stuff left over. If any one is interested in protecting their car please send me a PM.

Hey Merli,

I've been thinking about giving the skyline a run, do you want to post an event and get a bit of a crowd along, (or are you trying to keep this quiet?:) )

Duncan, you're more than welcome to come and do some runs with me! :) As is anyone else, but I didn't really want to advertise it, it's nothing special really... Those who like drag racing, know to check the Eastern Creek website to see when they're on...

If you wanted to make an Event post about it, go for it though ;)

hey Duncan - what kind of Silvia is that?!?

and thanks - you're all heart! :(

I may also come to the creek and watch the night before too, but i dont think i can get the night off! :(

    • Per Mark Roberts of Sonictune: Mark Robert Author At this time, no. No ETA either 2016-17 models. You will be able to purchase and install a 2018.5+ TCU though   TCU purchasing and pricing info! As we near the release of TCU tuning, I am going to answer some questions I get asked often.   What do I need for TCU tuning? At this time, you will need a 2018.5+ TCU to be able to tune. If you have a 2016-to early 2018, you will need to replace your TCU with the newer version. One good way to know if your TCU is good is if you have auto upshift in manual mode in 1st gear around 6500 rpms. If your manual 1st gear goes to 7k rpm and will hit the rev limiter unless you shift, you have the older TCU.   Why do I need to buy another ecu license/phone flash if I already have it on my ECU tune? The TCU is its own computer module. It is completely separate from the ECU. Because of this, you will be required to purchase a TCU license and, if your tuner has it, the phone flash license required to tune it via phone/bluetooth.   Do I need TCU tuning? TCU tuning is NOT required. However, the faster your setup, the more it will assist in track and dragy time consistency.   If I’m ECU tuned by (tuner A) can I get my TCU tuned by (Tuner ? Yes, since it’s a different module and a completely separate flash, you can have two different tuners. However, it is highly recommend that you have both tuned by the same tuner. For me, my TCU tuning will directly complement my ECU tuning style and features and running my ECU and another TCU or vice versa MIGHT cause some issues. At this time and for the foreseeable future, I will only be tuning my current ECU tuned customers TCUs.     I have a SYVECS AWD controller. Do I still need it? Yes! The AWD controllers main job is to control your AWD system. However, with TCU tuning, you will no longer need the auto-shift function as that will be done through the TCU. The AWD controller will still be very beneficial for racers looking to maximize traction on the launch.     Shift schedule changes: holding gears longer at lower pedal input as well as max shift rpm changes. Please note, the new ECU race rom coming out will address 90% of the shitty drivability issues these cars have through custom maps from myself and Racebox—as well as others I am sure.   Increase shift speeds: as seen in the videos I’ve been posting, the TCU shifts much faster once tuned.   Increased shift pressures: as also seen in the videos, much firmer full throttle shifts.

    • The fancy pants red shock tower brace is finally incoming from MX5 Mania, getting it shipped from 'Merica has been a long and problematic process, and GWR, the 'Merican supplier will not ship directly to consumers outside of the US, Mania basically had to order a heap of them, the colour choice was silver, or red, and we all know anything red adds 5 killerwasps of dynotorques..... Whilst it does fit over a 2.5, and I've seen a few photos and videos of it being installed and fitting, google also says it might get real close to the FAB9 intake front runner, people in the US says it does fit with the FAB9 intake, except for one person who said it slightly touched.......so there is that.....LOL..... As it seems that I am the first in AU to have this combination of parts there's no local knowledge about fitment, so I'm just a willing guinea pig in this endeavour, I'll cross my fingers and toes and hope for the best In other news, I ordered stuff from China  on the same day I ordered the 23° silicone bend from Victoria, the stuff from China arrived a day ago, the 23° silicone bend is still travelling around Australia thanks to Australia Post, and "may" be here next week
    • Very good news...I contacted Racebox about it last night. My car is a 2016 so remains to be seen if it is compatible, requires a TCU swap, or is impossible.
    • What ECU are you running? This is probably the biggest question. If it's a PowerFC, I'd probably change the ECU and get something newer that will handle the injectors in a nicer way.
