slow13dude
They're about the same. The R33 GTST has more power, but it weighs a bit more, cancelling out the advantage. leech_
i thought the 33's were still bit faster Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/64176-r32-vs-r33-gtsts/#findComment-1203779 Share on other sites
Sambo33
To me they are fairly similar. I was originally looking for an R32 Gts-t, but ended up buying an R33 because there were more of them to choose from. MerlinTheHapyPig
well, power/weight ratio is slightly higher for a 33 - plus the 33 has heaps better off-boost torque, but with the money you save buying a 32, you can buy some pretty good mods. Morgs
Exhaust filter this has been proved from 2 users called Merli and kabab in the year 1800 before everyone in the universe had a Skyline. RIP the good old days. The result was 14.0 sec v 14.1 sec, advantage R32. Mods were like, exhaust/filter. Correct me if I'm wrong either of you. I've got my money on the R32 (go the 20), until you get past that stage.... then cubes > 20 Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/64176-r32-vs-r33-gtsts/#findComment-1203938 Share on other sites
predator
I've recently got my R32 (stock as a rock at the moment), and it feels slower than any R33 I have ever been in. Not that I've been in too many "totally" stock R33 though. My Passage has a silvertop RB20DET and RB20 box and pulls pretty nicely though.. only real difference seems to the 3" exhaust, pod and 10psi.. A 92-93 type m would be a fair bit better/faster i imagine. i know the ecu is different at the least... rukus
i got my R33(totally stock cept for the body) and i want to change it for an R32. Not because the R33 is slow. in fact, i quite enjoy driving it, but i just love the R32 shape. silver gts-t
i got my R33(totally stock cept for the body) like 2 weeks ago and i already want to change it for an R32.Not because the R33 is slow. in fact, i quite enjoy driving it, but i just love the R32 shape. yeh the r33 is the only boat that you cant fit you fishing rods in   Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/64176-r32-vs-r33-gtsts/#findComment-1204546 Share on other sites
RBN1
R33 is faster by far. As someone who has owned a pretty good example of a R32 GTS-T as good a car as it is the RB25DET IMHO is the better engine. Mod to mod the little RB20DET can't compete. There is a weight difference but the engine more than makes up for it. CerealKiller
stock for stock I believe the R32 is quicker than the R33 by a small margin. Modded they're totally different. 25t_sedan
Stock for Stock hmmm lets see. I have a few friends with skylines, some have r32s some r33s some sedans some coupes. Now we have had lots of races between them all. and these are the results. (keeping in mind the results were done when all the cars were completely stock appart from my car which the engine was stock but was converted to manual - r33 sedan). These were measured on a airstrip so it was 0-180kmph. All the cars that were involved were manuals. r32 coupe vs r33 coupe = r33 coupe was quicker r32 sedan vs r33 sedan = r33 sedan was quicker r32 coupe vs r33 sedan = Photo finish - very very close r32 sedan vs r33 coupe = r33 coupe was quicker by far anyone can dispute any of these results but these are just what we found out. oscar32
I'd have to say once you open the exhaust and filter, the 33 is quicker. Once you go down the road of moding though, the biggest cheques win Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/64176-r32-vs-r33-gtsts/#findComment-1204626 Share on other sites
MerlinTheHapyPig
it depends on the mods. i've beaten r33's before, and i've been beaten by r33's... go figure...... Bazelinez
And you also have an 89 model. If the ecu was changed it would have been for emissions only.
