Thats a great looking Skyline R32 GTR

well here is mine. it's pretty much fresh from japan. it did have a basic $20 car wash though, but that's it. came up pretty well considering. :P sadly for me it's already up for sale. but I have something new on the way. :P

Jeeez! That looks real nice! Liking the front bar..

Thanks mate. :P I like it too. Though I think it needs the nismo side skirt extensions to go with it, as from side on you can really see how much lower the front bar is than the stock side skirts. :P

here is what's next. my RX-7. it's a 2001 RZ model which means it is a bit lighter than the regular FD and it comes with carbon kevlar recaros, and BBS wheels and bilsteins plus it's only a 2 seater. I just had the engine rebuilt at pre-stage in japan which is a small but highly regarded rotary tuner. http://www.prestage.rgr.jp/workscar.html should be a fun car.

these pics are just fresh off the docks. not even a wash.

damn that is a very nice clean looking rz you got.

If you dont mind me asking how much has it cst you so far??

don't really want to say. I've spent a bit on it. :) had the engine rebuilt etc all costs money. Plus now that I'm moving house I don't have as much car space as I used to so it will probably be for sale sooner or later. It's a pretty nice car though, quite low kms and I have the books for it too. It's surprising how good it looks for car that just came off the docks, it will look nice after a wash.

some info on the RZ for those that are interested. they are apparently the rarest variant of RX7 you can get. :)

The RX-7 Type RZ is a performance-enhanced limited edition version of the RX-7, Mazda's rotary engine-powered sports car. Type RZ is equipped with red custom full-bucket seats manufactured by Recaro, a custom suspension system manufactured by Bilstein, and custom aluminum wheels manufactured by BBS. These and other enhancements reduce the overall weight of the Type RZ by approximately 10kg, improving handling and performance. The Type RZ has a custom body in color snow white pearl mica color. Only 175 units of this limited edition model were sold.

Primary features of Type RZ:

- Red custom carbon/kevlar full-bucket seats manufactured by Recaro

- Custom gun metallic coloured forged aluminum wheels manufactured by BBS

- Custom dampers manufactured by Bilstein

- Custom red stitched steering wheel manufactured by Nardi (different wheel to the other models)

- Custom red stitched leather shift knob, stick shift boot, and parking brake lever boot

- Driver's side kneepads

- Passenger side aluminum footrest board

- Rear storage box

- Custom body color: snow white pearl mica.

yeah mate, I don't muck around! It's been a bit longer than that though. about 2 weeks on the water, about 3 or 4 days for quarantine and customs clearance.

Straight off the boat into Tassie and met by yet another import.

And then straight down to Symmons Plains.

There in an official capacity so I only managed two laps dropping gear to flaggies etc but still on a race track at full noise on the first day.

    • Sorry to hear your HFM BM57 was faulty,  did you contact HFM I would hope they would be at least grateful for the information if there was some sort of manufacturing fault, you would hope they would be sympathetic even if your item was 2 years old if it had never been fitted. May I ask where it leaked from ?
    • Cats are called Bella, and Donna...  Like that poisonous plant And I remember your 2 monsters, I remember making a little bit of wee when you let them out... LOL I have already installed cat doors into the laundry where their kitty litter is, and the sun room, apart from the cat doors there's not going to be any permanent mounted stuff on the interior walls (interior doors are cheap and easy to replace) I will get a outdoor cat cage thingie once I finish the landscaping out back... https://catnip.com.au/ The only off limit areas are the main bedroom and the gym room....but, currently the cats are curled up in bed, in the main bedroom with the Mrs.....LOL, the off limits for the kittens to the main bedroom lasted about 5 minutes with Jackie I currently only have 1 free standing huge cat tree multiple level scratching post thingie in the lounge room, but, I will be getting another one soon now that I'm happy with the furniture layout in the back room and have a perfect spot for it
    • All of this is making it seem clear that running the Coppermix twin was definitely the way to go, especially in hindsight with how insane tariffs have gotten and the strength of the USD vs yen at the time.
    • That sounds like no chance of even importing one for road registering then Now I see why Duncan wants to check LHD rules for Targa...   I wonder how "bolt in" the AWD would be if you got one imported from the US and swapped it to an AUD one
    • Not to mention they drive like a bucket of bolts! yuck!
