Yeah it did sell for a bit for a silvia but still cost me less than what i got for my 180 and is much more heavily modded. I was more after a heavily modded r32 but they were very scarce.

The pictures don't show how damn low it is and the massive stretch to fit 215 and 225 tyres over the wide rims :P

No one seems to know. There is some more damage on the passenger side (see first page), plus some theft. I think the thieves accidently bumped into the hand brake and the car rolled into some other cars. :P:D I will worry about the aesthetics once the engine is sorted.

forget the engine, I thought it was going to be a show car? Not much point in toying with a stock GTR mate. You should build/buy a hard tuned Jap GTR, like mine. Or maybe just have yours sprayed and use it at car shows. :P :P

hahahahaha

My GTR was driven to the panel beaters to get fixed while we wait for the computer and tune. I have been promised that it will all be ready by end of next week. :(

I was hoping to have it ready for Compak Attak this weekend. Maybe nxtime... ;)

ohhh. What has your car got on it?

not much mate, I was just winding NXTIME up. ;) Mine is pretty stock. :(

Charlie, great news on the car being nearly finished. When it's ready mate, I'll be out there with you for sure.

Compak Attak is the renamed Sydney Jamboree:

Thanks Richard. I can't wait to hit boost. :(

I am going to keep with the stock theme and respray it stock gunmetal grey.

that's the way. the gun-metal looks awesome. :(

Man, I am itching to see it now. When you get it, I'll run mine again too.

silver gts-t, I want to spray it in R34 Midnight Purple III, but I don't have the 6K to spare at the moment, and I don't want to leave the car in primer. Nor do I want to drive it with the damage to it. So, I will just respray it in stock colour to keep it inline with the rest of the car. won't attract any attention and blend it with the other million gunmetal R32's :(

Richard, can't wait for that day. I can't believe I have been so patient considering I am the most impatient person I know ;)

It's a pity WSID don't allow private days there anymore.

how much is the respray costing?

$2,000 for stock respray. Not going to remove any windows that will add over 1200 to the price. Will wait until the MP III for that.

    • Hope you aren't too sore after that one, might take a day or 2 to notice yet and I guess it is a loooooong drive home. On the bright side, tube frame front end is a thing at superlap, right?

    • The chart of front pressure to rear pressure (with one being on the x axis and the other being on the y axis) is not a straight line on a typical proportioning valve. At lower pressures there is a straight line with one slope, and at higher pressures that changes to a lower slope. That creates a bend in the line at that pressure, called the knee point. If you do not change the proportionng as the pressure gets higher, you will suffer excessive pressure (at one end of the car or the other, depending on which way you look at the proportioning action) and then get lockups at that end. The HFM BM57, from my memory of previous discussions, is based on the BM57 from a different car (to a Skyline), with a different requirement for the location of the knee point and the distribution of pressure front to rear, and so is not a good choice for an upgrade on a Skyline. Here's a couple of links to some old posts, one from here, one from elsewhere. A lot of it pertains to adjustable prop valves, but the idea is the same. There are plenty of discussions on here about this issue from al the many years of people wanting a cheap/accessible option. https://grassrootsmotorsports.com/forum/grm/learn-me-brake-proportioning-valves/236880/page1/ https://grassrootsmotorsports.com/forum/grm/learn-me-brake-proportioning-valves/236880/page1/
    • Yeah dunno why johhny posted that here with no context, just post on FB/insta bro where he put it up?  Laine had an off at T4 during Thurs prac, he's ok, car is less than perfect, they are done for the weekend, he can fill in the rest. Bando also binned it like 100m up the road.
