Should be putting in my order for the 18x9.5 + 22 rims this week or the next.

Cheers dude! I have to admit I was worried when I was selecting the fitment without test fitting anything, and buying them outright. But I was so glad when I saw they were almost 100% perfect!

Has anyone ran 255 wide tyres on the front of their GTS-t ?

I'm currently running 275 rears and 245 front on R33 GT-R rims on my R33 boat. I honestly do not like any stretch (it's my OCD) and down the track just want to run 255 all round the car (tyres came with rims) for rotation etc..

I don't give a rats about hellaflush btw :)

I don't mind a bit of stretch when applied to the right car. You can't always just buy rims that aren't as wide because then you lose dish or the concave looks some people desire. That said, it looks so much better on an s-chassis than a skyline.

On the right car it suits. I think if I was running 265s on my 10.5s, it just wouldn't sit as nice. I don't see why there is need for discussion here - it all comes down to personal preference. If you don't like it, whatever. If you do like it, whatever. Everyone is going to have a separate opinion on the matter, but no one opinion is right. I dislike Work Meisters, I think they are disgusting looking rims. Doesn't mean someone else can't love them and put them on their car.

Hey all just have a quick question to ask. 18*10 is the rim size. Have two offset sizes to choose from and they are +40 and +22. What tire sizes can I run with each offset size with as little camber as possible and a guard roll? I want to run as wide a tire possible on the rears. Will these fit in the rear of an R33 gts-t with 275 tires? If so where will they sit using the guard as a reference? If no what will have to be done to make them fit? .

+40 will make the rim sit very far in, with big tyres it will most likely be rubbing on your suspension arms.

+22 will be fine for inner clearance, with removing the splash guards up front.

You will have to run camber front and rear, and will need a guard roll.

On the rear it will stick out with 275's unless you run a fair bit of camber, the fronts will be the same.

They are very weird offsets to have. You almost have both extremes on the scale, too far in and too far out. You would be better off running the +22 because the +40 will most definitely rub. Running 10's on the front will also present issues with turning on full lock in regards to the front liner. Your rims will sit around 10mm outside the guard on the fronts, and about 5mm on the rears. Decent fitment, but you will need to run camber up front and stretch the rears. :)

Thanks for the quick reply. you guys are the best!!!! :yes: The fronts are fine just the rears I am talking about the rears. The fronts are 235 40 18 +25 9 inch wide rim they will fit fine. Just the rears I wanted to know which offset I can run on the 10" rim to get the widest tire possible to fit with just a roll and minimal camber. What is the widest tire possible I can run on that wide a rim with those two offsets?

i had 9.5 +22 with 265's all round, and on the rear i had 7mm spacers, and with that it sat flush, although i was running a fair bit of camber on the back.

With no camber it would have stuck out. And you'll have to roll the guards.

I'd probably run 265's on the 10 +22, should fit easy with a guard roll. Also 265's are easy to come by

      This looks great! Awesome to have the 5 speed with an LSD in this. The Recaro's look like SR2's or SR3's. It's a shame they've been retrimmed as they would have looked sweet in their original colours. I think I'd want my agent to be a little more up front and informative too. I've never imported but I reckon it would make me a little nervous, so the more info the better.

      Thanks for doing that Duncan! Makes you a good person in my books. We don't get kangaroos or wombats here. But we have bats and it's similar. AFAIK it's often the mums with a baby attached that get hit because they drop lower when starting from a tree.       My dream is also to have a proper hoist, but I don't think it will ever happen. My quickjack is probably as close as I'll ever get, it really is very good though.

      Yeah we keep on in the dailies, it is pretty poor how many animals get hit and the driver leaves without checking....have saved a couple of little ones over the years. Bit of a gruesome job though, pouches generally need to be cut open because they are so tight and often the joey doesn't realise mum is gone so they are still locked onto the teat. I checked the modules in front of the DS wheel where an oil cooler should go.... There is the radar unit - that can go for race use) One of the 2 HX water pumps, the silver cylinder. That needs to be kept but might be able to be relocated But the bad news, the big computer mounted vertically in front of the wheel (blocking any potential air exit) is the electric steering computer. That is required until/unless i do a hydraulic steering conversion, and in CAD based modern car design it is not like I can just pop a big unit like that somewhere else (plus the loom would be too short anywhere else too). So, the passenger side is OK to clear out (just use a smaller washer reservoir, potentially elsewhere), but the DS no beuno

      Well, all the best with the new camry It was interesting to hear about the UK process, it is generally a lot more streamlined here with a shipping agent looking after all the import side (noting the exact final price can still be a surprise.....) and I've used a few different brokers on the japan (or US) side, and never had any trouble with any of them....luck of the draw I guess. You mentioned you didn't get the auction sheet (understandable since you bought it from a dealer, not auction), but I always try and get hold of that because they are pretty thorough. I've imported 2x R grade vehicles over the years and both were fine, repairs in Japan are pretty thorough compared to here in Oz.
