The question of what wheel size fits what Skyline comes up so often I though this might be a good place to post your own wheel dimensions.

Just copy and fill in the table;

Skyline model =

Wheel diameter =

Wheel width =

Wheel offset =

Tyre size =

Modifications to fit =

One of mine as an example;

Skyline model = R32GTST

Wheel diameter = 17"

Wheel width = 8"

Wheel offset = 35

Tyre size = 245/45/17

Modifications to fit = remove the front inner plastic guards, roll rear lip slightly.

:( cheers :)

Good work Sydneykid, now let's see all the R32 GT-R people posting!

Skyline model = R32 GT-R

Wheel diameter = 18 Inch

Wheel width = 9 Inch

Wheel offset = +24mm

Tyre size = 265/35/18

Modifications to fit = None

Just copy and fill in the table;

Skyline model = R32 GTSt

Wheel diameter = 18"

Wheel width = 10"

Wheel offset = +1mm ;)

Tyre size = cant remember probably 245 or 255

Modifications to fit = Roll & flare guards, stick out about 4cm from existing guards. needs a rear bar for them to look good... not good for defects..... almost needs widebody...

haha the rear looks like a AE86 drifter

Any idea how much clearance you have to the strut and also does it touch the inner guard lining on full lock?

Mine -

Skyline model = R33 GTS T

Wheel diameter = 18"

Wheel width = 8.5" front / 9.5" rears

Wheel offset = +30 front / +38 rears

Tyre size = 225/35R18 front / 255/30R18 rears

Modifications to fit = None. Car is on slightly lowered springs, very rarely will touch inner plastic guard when at full lock and hittin a pot hole at the same time <_< .

I think i've posted this link about 100 times or so in this section. But it's a very useful link.

http://marksink.com/tire_wheel_offset/offset.html

Use this to enter the offset and width of you current wheels, then input offsets of wheels you will like to buy and it'll tell you how far it'll stick out compared to your old rims, and how much clearance you'll have with the strut housing.

(maybe sk you should add this to the top post)

Thanks for the link, the idea of the thread was to get the guys posting up their actual real world exeperiences all in one place. I don't know about anyone else but I have real problems with using calculated changes (one rim to another) to know whether or not the wheels will actually fit. An example, so it's 5mm in further, does that mean it will hit on the inner guard or not? Then there is the brake calliper clearance issues.

Thats why I wanted to have a whole heap of real world results for guys to look up.

:P cheers :)

    • If it (the code) wasn't still current, it should have gone away by itself by now. No, nothing it 10/10. But it is quite likely. Everything else to do with the ignition could still be responsible (which is wires and connectors). The car is an old piece of shit now, so all the wires and connectors are also old pieces of shit.

    • Before I get to the test day, just to finish off the android head unit. This is a demo from car start up....the standard/host system takes a few seconds to boot (same as all v37) but Android comes up quickly. In this vid I'm using the delivered launcher but have set the default to Agami since which is easier to navigate when if use primarily 5 apps. You can see the host system still takes over when required eg putting it in reverse, and you can switch between Android and not by holding the back button 3 sec. It is pretty responsive (fast) but you can see I had to press harder than expected a couple of times.  I still have the phone connected to the stock system, and that also seamlessly takes over Android music playing. v37-android-demo.mp4 The bigger reason that I put this in though is so that I can use Ecutek directly on the head unit. That gives me a dash with logging (up to 20MB only), high and low value warnings on any parameter etc etc. I've run a USB cable from the Ecutek OBD dongle to a USB input on the unit, easy. v37-ecutek-demo.mp4   The unit did freeze on the launcher the other day, I think Agami was trying to verify the license when it didn't have a data connection...will monitor and report back if there are any other problems but so far I'm very happy with the upgrade.
