Yeah that's what I thought.. I was hoping somebody had similair cause all my measurements tell me it will fit but I'm not 100% certain and I'm a bit skeptical... If I go plus 30 I'll have to run camber or stretch I'm thinking... I guess if I go+41 I can always get a spacer

fairly new to all this.. I have a r34 gtt and im looking at running 18x10+41 rear and 18x9+25 front I want to run minimum amount of stretch and camber, Ive already rolled the guards all round and im running nismo s tune suspension

Short answer on the rears? No.

For a rule of thumb, 18x9.5+25 is pretty much FLUSH with the guards, front and rear at 0 camber. Bearing in mind unless you have camber arms on the rears, as you lower it, it will camber in a few degrees. Fronts can be adjustable through most aftermarket suspension types by around +/- 2 degrees.

So your 18x9+25 is great for the front, and depending on how much you lower it will depend on the amount of stretch you will need. If you want to be eating gravel, you will probably need 225s on it. Which is a fair amount of stretch.

Rears - These will be very close to the suspension, especially if you don't stretch the tyres. If you want 18x10 badly, you need an offset of 30 or less. I had 18x10.5+30 with 245/40, and it fit, but I don't believe there was much clearance AND it was sitting around 5-10mm outside the guards even with around 2 degrees of camber. Your 18x10s will sit 15mm INSIDE the guards, even with 0 camber, which in my mind defeats the purpose of having a fat rim and tyre combo.

Go 18x9+25 all round IMHO. It will be a safe choice, and you can put fatter tyres on the rears if you needed to.

18x10+41 is 10mm further into the guards than 9.5, I'll be running a 265 tyre, that's pretty much the biggest I'll fit.. I'm not going ridiculously low probably keep it around 110mm off the ground, so that should be okay there... If I get these wheels and worst case scenario I'll just have to run spacers I guess

10.5 +30 on the rears.

Looking at getting some 265/40R18 for the rear, what's my best bet for the fronts? Got 225's on there atm I think, thinking they might need at least 245's but unsure what to look for. Anyone got a good idea of what will work best?

To run those sizes without stretch you are going to need to raise the car up, it won't be able to sit as low as the tyres will be outside the guards.

Correct me if I am wrong, but I would run 275s on the rear, more traction the better, especially for track. And 255s on the front. Not sure how much stretch is considered stretch?

Remember that going from 10.5 to 9.5 will pull the wheels in, if the offset remains the same.

ie) a wheel 18x10.5 +30 will have the same poke as 18x9.5 +17

So if you are going for 18x9.5 +12 it will poke 5mm more than your 18x10.5 +30

Car looks good, I want 'more dish' look on rears, so I will be going +20 fronts and +12 rears. Cheers for the help guys.

18x10+25 won't fit with no suspension or guard work

18x10 on a gts is a bit too aggressive. Mate was running 18x10.5 +24 and it was stuck out a good inch and a half

It's very do able with the right components and set up

heaps of people have done 18*10+xx it on stock metal... takes work though

fwiw it's less agressive than the 9.5+12's on my old car (photos in link on last page i think)

with a Potenza 245/40/19, how large a wheel would you think will work with some stretch?

9.5? 10"?

im thinking of putting 10 on the rear and 9.5 on the front, with offset asside will the tires work or is that too extreme do you think?

    • Don't even try to run it on the stock ECU if you're going to have the boost controller bring boost above ~10 psi. I've already told you that. If you use the Nistune ECU, you will need to CAREFULLY read the available documentation for Neo tuning, and read some threads on the Nistune forums, to discover the various things you have to do to prevent the ECU from going bananas when the boost is too high. The is a table associated with th boost sensor that must be modified to prevent it from shitting the bed. This is just one of the things that you will need to do to the tune in Nistune, because the Neo turbo ECU will be expecting to see a number of things (such as the TCS) that are not there, and you have to block the DTCs on those. It is totally not surprising to me that you are having the problems that you are, but the solutions to these problems have been known for >15 years. So just get it done.
    • Hi. Sry iam not a mechanic and iam not at the car atm so i dont know 100% but they told they measure those and even try to change those. AFM they have two. Coils are new a they have my old one too. Plugs too. ECU...we have 25 NEO stock and Nistune 25 NEO.   But i dont know if any one those could be the problem and why/if/what can cause this, Only thing they did not check is fuel...but that walbro 255 is new(like 1,5 years)... That fuel pressure gauge idk...but i let them know Any suggestions?   EDIT: how can they know if it is like you say he ECU pull power when it reaches a specific boost level that is too high? Tha car has boost controler
    • Can you clarify what you mean by boost cut, do you mean it misfires both when under load (driving) and when stationary and out of gear? Or does the ECU pull power when it reaches a specific boost level that is too high (boost control issue)? Does it occur at idle with no throttle? When you say "the ECU is OK", what ECU is it and why do you think it is OK? Have you used the NEO ECU, and if so do you have a MAP sensor attached? Same for the AFM, why do you think it is OK? Do you have any way to put a fuel pressure gauge on it (even just a mechanical one between the fuel filter and fuel rail)?
    • Hi.. Just another problem. So maybe you can help. I(my mechanic) done swap from my RB20DE NEO to RB25DET NEO. Everything is OK but we have a boost cut. Coils/Plugs are ok...AFM is ok. ECU is ok. I have Walbro 255 but it "changed" sound few months ago(you can hear it ouside) you did not hear that when it was new(maybe faulty?) Sooo...what now? What can cause this boost cut? It is even when you standing still...
