quitest is the stock one. Why put an aftermarket one on if you want somethign quite? it defeats the purpose of getting an aftermarket one. it probably won't flow much better than a stock one if it is the same volume as the stock one.

I forgot what the offset was, because i've sold my r ugly poo gtr wheels. I believe they were 16x8 30 offset.

How Much Should I Be Paying For A R32 Skyline?
MANWHORE replied to Turko's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
You get what you pay for. Heaps of people have bought a cheap one, then come winging on here when something breaks. If you buy one because it's cheap, that's fine. Just expect that you might have to repair/replace a few things. But that's fine if you buy a cheap one, ebcause you will have spare money. -
I reckon your pan was dirty. My pan always has sand in it because it just sits on the floor.

ouch, I hate skinned knuckles. I'm no expert on gearboxes, but i've read numerous threads in the past where similar symptoms have been a reuslt of selector issues.

nah, at those speeds, you don't need the handbrake. Trust me, I know. I was in a car accident. long story short, i was in a camry. I thought I knew the driver, because he was my friend. he ended up doing what that guy was doing, except, my friend had only been driving for a week (red Ps). I couldn't stop him or get out. After about 15 minutes, we crashed into a tree at 130km/h

Those arabs make heaps of videos like that. That driver has to be very skilled, because they go so fricken fast that the car goes absolutely spastic, yet they manage to control it. It's funny too, coz all of the strange looking fellows at the side of the road don't seem to be worried the slightest bit that they could be killed. lol

Also, what brand is your sandwitch plate? if it's a shit brand one, then expect leaks. I've got a greddy one for sale brand new if you want. Comes with the o ring and it's already got tape, so it won't leak.

yeah, you can. It's happened to me before. on my shock, the bolt was an allen key bolt, so I just got under, and hooked it up.

What Impact Wrench Nm You Use To Open Rusted Bolts
MANWHORE replied to SKY 34's topic in General Maintenance
Agreed about socket and breaker bar. With a decent breaker bar, you should be able to either undo it, or snap the bolt. The impact wrenches go psycho on the bolt and might actually make the bolt snap when it might not have. -
Anything can be drifted. My last rental vt commo was pretty fun even though it was auto. like It was said above, it's how well it drifts, and how easy it is to learn. What's wrong with rx7s? My friends fd is very easy to drift. Stock, they're pretty neutral in terms of over/understeer.
-
Obviuosly manual. Anything rwd with decent power. I'm assuming that you don't have a skyline? No your mum's auto vn commo will not drift well. Basically, any turbo skyline/silvia/rx7 etc etc will drift ok na cars can be drifted more and require more skill. General mods required: mech diff (a must, once you move from the stock viscous to a mech, you'll notice the diff. When the stock one single wheels, you'll lose control) suspensions seat and harness are nice, so you aren't always triyng to brace yourself off the door etc. stock power is enough to learn on, but air filter, exhaust, highflow cat, fmic won't hurt. oil cooler depending on how hard you drift (on a 31 degree day, my r33 was starting to get hot, but I drive hard) camber, castor, swaybars etc.

I reckon a gts4 with a an rb25 would be faster than your car in any circusmtnace. r34s are heavy square boxes like r31s. An r33 gtst is siginigicantly lighter than an r33 gts4, but the weight of an r33 gts4 and an r34 gtt are similar. the awd traction will just make it quicker in the twisties, as well as quicker in a straight line. your car probably has about 160 rwkw. The r33 will have similar. so power will be similar, weight similar, it comes down to awd v rwd. Also, it depends on if you put in a turbo motor, or turbo his. from the sounds of your post, you siad turbo his motor. in that case, it would be a high comp motor, so it'll be quicker and more responsive than yours again. edited: accidentally put r33 gtt above

Supprise Breakages... Tell Your Story Or Saga...
MANWHORE replied to GTRNUR's topic in General Automotive Discussion
meh, half of the stuff that has been said above, was probably because the cars were either old, and or cheap and or the repair job was not done properly. -
in the boot on an r33. it is the blue looking strange thing.

mate, tell your mate to forget the rice. The honda is already gay enough. Choppa reid would go "this is michadoo's friend. He drives a honda civic. Harden the fu(k up michadoo's friend" But you, you can buy that rice from anywhere. autobarn, ebay. The honda forum should have plenty of that. They've got all the other rice like wheels, neons, steering wheels, seats etc.

If you think about it, any car work is piss easy in theory. E.g. undo the bolts, take the old one off, put the new one on. But in practice, that is never the case. e.g. recently, I installed a dump/front pipe which I bought off someone recommended. It didn't fit straight on. Other things needed mods, the pipe needed to be modded a bit with an oxy torch, and a grinder etc. There's a good chance that you'll break studs. The new manifold might move the position of the turbo ever so slightly (that's what happened with my dump/front pipe. It looked good, but being in a different position meant it wouldnk't bolt on) you'll have to redo the exhaust and top side piping etc. So, nothing ever goes as planned, and nothing is really ever easy

Where To Get Tow Hooks For The Track?
MANWHORE replied to someonestolecc's topic in Motorsport Discussion & Builds
What happened CC? Not doing the r31 project anymore? -
Good on ya mate, best of luck.

It means that you jumped onto the bandwagon and bought a cheap r32 skyline. In all seriousness, it just means that the engine is worn. Most likely compression is low. rb20s are cheap as chips. You can buy them for around 1k. If the car isn't causing you any problems like bad fuel economy, or stalling or cutting out or anything, you can just leave it if you like until it dies, then get a replacement engine. If you really want, you could rebuild it now, but a rebuild, even to standard spec, will cost you thousands (probably 4-5k+).

There is no other way to 'fix' it, except an earth strap. You generate static electricity when you get in and out from rubbing on the seat.
