  1. And add Nos. If you must change engine, LS1...
  2. Very good explanation, thanks Duncan. Im quite happy with my bar setup although my rear unknown spring rates are probably a touch firm on the street. Quite good at the track though. I suppose you can't have it all without a bit of trial and error.
  3. Hit Sandown again last weekend with the wrx club guys. Unfortunately no pb, tyres are way past prime but still managed a mid 1.25, enough for 14th outright out of 73 and some pretty well developed race cars, was a little over a second off my best time. Also had slight misfire, i think its time to replace the sparkies, its been a while. It was another miserable wet and soggy Melbourne day. Thankfully it dried up in the avo and some decent runs where had. Found 1 watermarked pic on the wrx club page. Was cutting across the corner to dandy rd V8 supercar style trying to exploit any tenths i could out of the dying tyres. Also picked up some new tyres today. So out with the old, you served well lebspec $200 yalla A050 In with the new, enter $205 Nankang sui min hotpot AR1. If these can go within a second of my PB at Sandown with the car remaining the same, ill be happy. Going to have to find other ways to go faster after a baseline run. I noticed my rotors had developed little hairline cracks a couple of track days ago, Google advised this wasn't a problem as long as they weren't too big and running a certain way. This proved accurate as the discs made it through the last track day ok but did develop significant shudder towards the end of the day. I thought about giving them a skim but decided against it due to the little cracks and dont like the idea of reducing the thickness when newies are cheap. I ordered a new set of gtr size RDA fronts for $139. Thanks ebay special offer. The current rotors will become spares and possibly get a skim down the track depending on their condition on closer inspection. Thats all i got this time around, can't wait to get out to Sandown again and see how these tyres go.
  4. Bump, on ebay now too. Starting at 180. If anyone wants them for that, pm me before anyone bids and they're yours.
  5. I agree, its interesting though that mca suggests using stock sway bars with their shocks and to control roll with spring rate. Personally i run whiteline bars but it's hard to argue with mca when you look at the performance of their time attack car.
  6. $205 a piece. Lets see how these go against the old A050 i pulled off. If they get within a second, ill be happy. Just got to replace the brakes i cooked last weekend and then book another track day at Sandown for a back to back comparison. Interestingly, these things weigh 2.7kg each more than the worn A050.
  7. I have nothing to add but am also chasing a similar clunk in the front end, typically also when going from reverse to forward. Wheel doesn't seem to have any play but i will check out all the above suggestions also.
  8. Cant say but i am getting a set of ar1 fitted as we speak. @Hadouken can probably shed some light on ar1 vs nt01. I think he said they where on par. Other people i have spoken to seem to think ar1 is slightly better.
  9. Put an SR in it. It'll pull a premium a week b4 racewars...
  10. Just dremel or file it into shape just in case. Better than having to remove it if things don't work out. My 2c. Bye
  11. You can bend the backing plate edges up with vice grips or similar and create clearance without trimming.
  12. How much does your track car, trailer, you and all your gear weigh? Unless your car is a mini or mx5, you're probably going to be over to tow legally.
  13. Smart move, always better to pay more for something that isn't broken with who knows what other hidden surprises. The only exception is if its dirt cheap and you know what you're in for/doing.
  14. So the cradle is out to make the required mods for 25° neg camber? If not, you haven't captured the true stancefag spirit and you must rectify asap, Just sayin
  15. Where are you located? @andynogo i have some 18 inch rims from a v35 350gt premium that will clear the brakes and am willing to sell cheap.
  16. I have them on mine and can confirm that they do fit behind axis 18 inch factory rims. Used the stagea lines but removed the olive from the caliper so the stagea line could seat properly.
  17. @Birds Where you looking for an exhaust for a v35 a while ago?
  18. Will probably reopen again with a slightly altered business name as they have done in the past...
  19. Good wheels for drag those.. no jdm points though so wnb
  20. I take full responsibility, i used to run centreline rims on my rx4 back in the day, just saying..
  21. k thanks, didn't want to name either but also didn't want to leave any doubts in anyones mind, lol
