  1. Good work, keep it up. At this rate, you'll be driving it again before you know it[emoji106]
  2. Welcome, Joining Sau Vic is a good idea. For sprints you generally need to be a member of a cams affiliated club (sau vic is) and a cams l2s licence. You can do cams come and try days without this requirement to get a feel for it and see if it's for you. Alternatively, tampered motorsport runs days at Sandown, cams licence or club membership not required but you have to purchase one of their day licenses for $20. There is one on at Sandown this sunday and there are spots still available. There will also be an sau vic day at Sandown end of september. Good luck and hopefully will see you out there at some stage
  3. Replace the crush washers, I'd leave the turbo for now and if it's not blowing massive amounts of smoke out the exhaust, don't worry about it too much. A bit of oil is pretty normal.
  4. Sorry I'm not familiar with Adelaide. Try tightening that bolt, if it still leaks, take it back to the bloke who sold it to you to fix. Someone else should be able to point you toward a decent mechanic. Cheers and good luck.
  5. Guys use 10-40, 15-50, I personally use 10-60. Just top it up with some 20-50 if that's what he was using and take it back to him to fix the leak since he has offered too. You can change oil to what you like later on. Looks like that banjo bolt on the oil line is loose, stripped or missing crush washers.
  6. Yeah, dumb sellers.
  7. FYP
  8. Your after Grant@Count Grantleyish
  9. Possibly best to call MCA direct and ask the question directly and see what they say.
  10. Evo for the type of use you want it for. For bragging rights, Skyline for sure.
  11. Just trying to keep you on the right track, lol. They may be ok but do you really want to be a guinea pig. Interested to see if anyone has used these or if they've just hit the market. My advice for MCA still stands.
  12. I've never heard of them so can't say if good or bad but for the price, they're not too much cheaper than an entry level MCA blue, a few hundred bucks. I'd rather get those, as its a recognised company who definitely knows what they're doing when it comes to suspension. A lot of high end cars run mca, their own car (s13 silvia) is last years time attack winner. As they say, the proof is in the pudding. Im pretty sure the dose man can hook you up with pricing too. Also worth remembering the phrase, poor man pays twice.
  13. ls1 or lsa will be cray cray
  14. By far the worse run track day i have ever been to. -First cars weren't on track till after 10am due to lack of organisation, 1 hour loss right there, didn't even have the groups organised. Only did 1 session before lunch. WTF. -Fast and slow cars grouped together -Split come and try guys into 2 sessions for 12 cars total at start of day (seriously) -Had 2 passenger sessions even though where way behind schedule, supp regs said 1 session -Less than 60 cars but only managed 14 timed sessions. -Did not provide trophies for class winners as stated in ad above. False advertising. -adding to the unorganisation, couldn't hear what the announcer was saying because he kept trying to talk when there was cars screaming down the straight behind him. -looked more concerned about selling sausages rather than running track day You guys need to pull your finger out and organise your events properly if you want to have people returning to your track days. No one is perfect but this was just beyond a joke. Tried you out once, NEVER again. i now know why you guys didn't get a lot of entries.
  15. Not really dodgey at all and a good cheap outcome. Seems like it was just a sticky/noisy lifter. If the problem re occurs, (probably won't if you keep the oil in good conditon) just replace the lifters or isolate the offending lifter and replace that only. I recently spoke to a bloke that had this occur and he ran some engine flush through the engine and changed the oil and 3 years later noise never returned.
  16. I'll pm you.
  17. Where are you located? I have guard liners.
  18. They came out with LSA
  19. 250rwkw give or take 10 or so.
  20. Just signed up, only 40 entries so far. Should be plenty of track time and bugger all traffic. Weather looks a bit patchy in the morning but should be fine. I hope anyway.
