  1. Chop a coil off the rear springs and wind the fronts up a bit.
  2. My gearbox is a bit whiney as well. I haven't changed the oil yet though.
  3. Wowzers! That towing cover is pretty impressive. My insurance with Lumley expires at the end of the year. I'll make the switch. About time someone came out with excellent deals, surprising it was NRMA!
  4. You most certainly want to lose back pressure, you have a turbo car + you shouldn't be worrying about scavenging effects. Get a 3.5" exhaust with good mufflers (e.g. Magnaflow), you won't have drone issues then. I run a 5Zigen 3.5" cat back (two mufflers), no drone at all and car went harder. Shame the mid muffler cracked and had to replace it with an inferior muffling Xforce one. Popping and crackling is unburnt fuel in a hot exhaust. When is the last time you changed the spark plugs?
  5. This thread is over two years old. Check the time stamps before posting.
  6. Good gods I have to fix up my car.
  7. If you want intake noise, get ITBs with trumpets.
  8. You can get a Torsen LSD for BW78 (Drivetech brand). Apparently they work well and fit pretty much straight in. KAAZ requires some machining.
  9. Z31 and R32 have different suspension setups.
  10. RE: Intercooler surround, I think they are NLA. You'll have to trawl YAJ and they do go for a bit. Terry, get smoked indicators and paint the headlight surrounds (inside) black!
  11. Some dude in USA did some testing with air filters. Found that (surprise surprise) oiled filters weren't that great. Sponge filters (e.g. HKS) were shit. Best was Apexi paper but they are really expensive. What's the cost of a K&N + oil/cleaners vs. $15 a year for a Ryco or Nissan paper filter? What are the gains and how much filtration do you lose? Those are the questions you should be asking yourself. I rather have a paper filter that I can throw away than have a filter that I essentially keep rinsing. OP, try a UniFilter (a.k.a. sponge on a funnel). I had one on my GTS-t when I first got it, it was loud as fark and filtered nothing smaller than leaves and pebbles. You might get a hissing noise on an N/A. You also have this option:

  19. Learn how to drive. Put better tyres on. Overhaul brakes/suspension if required. Don't an hero.
  20. Hahaha Penrith. Did you get the Racing 10 or their semi syn?
  21. Like this? Get the smoked ones, then paint the inside plastic bit in your headlights black... Or wait until I retrofit HIDs into another pair of headlights
  22. Fatter wheels and tyres.
  23. Not a fan of the Mobil 1 5W-50. I run Penrite Premium 5 (5W-60). Their racing 10 (10W-40) was fine with two track days. My engine's pretty much the same as yours. Nulon or Penrite, keep it Aussie!
