  5. not related ....but the std map sensors are 3 bar absolute pressure what most peoeple miss is the "absolute pressure" bit which means 1 bar vacuum and 2 bar positive most people assume that because its a 3 bar map sensor, it can read upto 3 bar pressure so if you want to run more than 2 bar boost then youll need to upgrade the map sensors with datalogit you can plug in the GM 5 bar map sensor off the bat and it works fine (the rx7/evo guys do this)
  6. yeah adding splitfires gives no power gain theyre only needed when your get misfire city on boost this is when the stock coils die

  8. it would be cheaper to goto the normal powerfc version given you could pick up a set of std afm's pretty cheaply but that would depend on how the pipe work is setup on your current engine, if the previous owner has remove all the ducting for the turbo to afm pipes then it might prove to be more costly. the djetro PFC is the same price, but then you have to buy twin map sensors at $150 each new, so it will cost more both should give the same result, so its really a case of do you have the std afm pipework still
  9. it sounds like you were running unlimited boost before which tapers off around 1.1bar on the stock gtst setup

  11. as the others have said the PowerFC is fairly bulletproof, if you want to do some reading and have a few hours spare, check out http://paulr33.skylinesaustralia.com/docs/...powerfc-faq.htm this will cover any questions you have on the PowerFC and anything else you might face later on in regards to the T70 if its the typical ebay spec T70 its probably junk and i wouldnt bother as someone else said, the std twins probably make more power and resposne
  12. all sorted - the mechanism is ok it just slips down as one of the bolts is cross threaded thanks guys
  13. apexi have them as different units with different airflow ramps in their powerfc the R32 has a higher airflow unit load in most areas, but not all
  14. the car had a hit in the rear about 3 years ago and since then every now and then the boot latch becomes funny
  15. speak to mini movers they are pretty cheap and might just be easier to use them - find out a cost
  16. go see your local diff place, they can probably supply and fit a 1.5 or 2 way item to fix it up its probably not worth reco-ing the std item, i think most guys just replace it with a new nismo 1.5 or 2 way mech item i was quoted around $1500 ish i think to have a kaaz 1.5 way supplied and fitted for my GTST ages ago
  17. i've replied to your pm - when you edit a value on the INJ or IGN map you need to confirm the change with NEXT (PREV will back the change out) so edit the value, press NEXT and it will save the change you have made

  21. hey ya'll can someone please take a photo of their R33 boot latch and boot locking mechanism mine is cactus again and needs to be "re-fixed" by bending it the correct way we did it last time at the grand prix (thanks scott) but i cant remember what was wrong if someone can please post up some pics of their 33 boot latch and locking thingy, that would be ace heres what mine looks like

  24. There are 133 R33's in carsales.com.au for private sale in victoria so from that, its a buyers market, they can pick and choose any number of combinations at the price they want and they would likely get it too - given there are so many for sale
