  1. yeah loose plug then, check the coilpack loom and all plugs, even unplug and replug them all if the coils were old and tired it would misfire on boost but be ok for normal load if the gap was wrong it would be fine for normal load only on boost it would misfire

  5. how are you testing this theory? drive around in 2nd gear, under 4500rpm and accel a bit watch ETC, SENSOR SW CHECK does "VCT" have a black dot next to it? if so, the PFC is turning the relay on if VCT doesn't come on - ie: solenoid is shagged etc, the PFC wont know this as in, as far as the PFC knows, the relay is ON once it has black dot if the oil line was say unplugged, the PFC wouldnt know this
  6. why did you approve the work if its well over your budget? did he supply and fit all parts (new or used)? did the engine include any work done to it? or just fit parts and tune?

  8. what sort of attena do you have if you have an external roof attena its fine but an indoor craptastic attena it wont have the pickup west wanted a good indoor attena for his built in tuner there arent any - thats the problem

  10. high def built in tuners into the TV and in door attennas usually suck dogs balls they are cheap units with low power gain so the signal is poor try a $5 pair of rabbit ears (no joke) and if its poo then get a high def set top box & rabbit ears that will give you much better results with even a crap pair of rabbit ears a high def set top box will be $100 ish
  11. a wierd conflict on the mobo or something wierd in the bios check the usual shadow ram crap on the video card check the agp settings, reset bios to defaults check for bios updates
  12. for minimal lag go for a 450x70 core, the larger 600x70 probably wont give any more gains

  14. the worst case with maxing afms is you run out of load points, so it runs map sensor style once it maxes, load never incrases, so you have less load points to play with if it happens at say 4000rpm then from that point onwards you only have say 6 more points on the tune to play with whereas if it wasnt maxing you would say maybe 40+ points to play with. so less granulatarity = more dull tune to deal with the wide scope

  17. why arent u happy with the PFC boost kit? you set the duty, set the boost and drive what more is there to it ?

  20. cos there was another workship who was still placing orders with apexi after it was announced they wouldnt make them anymore this was after nengun marked them as "discontinued" and refused orders. i forget who the workshop was

  22. i actually think if nengun placed an order with apexi for an rb25 powerfc it would be delivered it would just take a long long time and apexi wont be in any hurry - i dont think apexi would reject the order so in order to stop worldwide chaos apexi anounce they wont make it any more so the all the suppliers mark it as a discontinued product but if you placed an order to apexi, i dont think they would knock it back if nengun placed an order for 30 rb25 powerfcs then yeah i would suspect apexi to knock it back
  23. you cant rely on it, it uses the stock narrow band 02 sensor so the output is only useful for the stock ecu trying to save fuel im summary, the guage wont give you anything useful - sell it
  24. inlet restriction would be my guess whats the inlet plenum and other stuff like? sams tuned mored sr20's than you can poke a stick at - what did he say/suggest? what gear was it dynoed in?
  25. fuel economy can fixed with a real tune - so that fixes point B point A requires a fixed cost $500 and should fix A and B you can change the case on the PFC to the std ECU case if you want to hide it - so your worried about them finding the PFC but not the GT30r? you would mad and stupid to run the turbo to its full potential on the stock ECU this would imply stupid afr's and stock injectors, ie youll fry something go back to the PFC and tune it properly and all of your issues will go away - the stock isnt designed for bigger turbo's etc you cant run z32 with std ecu unless you get it remapped
