Have u logged gnition timing in consult to ensure the ignition is outputting what u are commanding in the timing map?
The pinging may be now due to the small pits on the pistons causing hot spots.
What spark plugs are u using?
Start with the basics.
Check all fuses
Check for fuel pump priming
Check for spark, and spark plug condition
Check the injectors are pulsing,
Check fuel at the fuel rail
Not good unfortunately.
Take the boss kit off so u can have a good look at the threads and make a decision from there. If it doesnt look right i would replace the shaft. Very dangerous if its in poor condition

Yes thet makes perfect sense as the coolant temp sensor is very sensitive to voltage. It even runs its own seperate sensor ground with only a few sensors like TPS and CAS.

Yes i built this particular car. Have tuned it on 98 and on Ethanol this time with the 2000's.
Tuned up perfectly. Idles perfectly. Smashed his diff 2nd time out on track haha. 270kw sr20
