Boring stuff, subframe out to replace the Hardrace bushes with GKTech offset bushes (to bring the subframe closer to the chassis thus reducing the angle of the LCA this theoretically would mean less toe out ramping on compression. Subframe will be also braced with the GKTech weld in plates. The lot will be sent and powder coating boring black.

Will have some data soon, once I get the car back - especially it's quite warm/humid in Sydney as of late. Should make for some good logging. Oh yeah, I have a EMAP too now, that should be fun

If I am really bored at some stage, I could install some form of scoop behind the headlight and piping into the pod area, but that's a low priority item until I want to milk every single kW out of the setup. My goal is to make 500kW at the hub, if I achieve that then I probably won't bother with anything else lol.

there's no real "seal" however there is sufficient air to be drawn from the OEM side mount piping holes, guard, etc. Would be great to fully seal it and have it suck only chilled external air, however it's a turbo car, with a decent FMIC so I'm not too concerned with the compressor inlet temperature, just as long as the intake air temp is sub 40~50 degrees at full tilt with awful amounts of boost thrown at it.

doesn't really line up to anything down there, I'll snap up some photos when I get the car back

Updates to the intake department, using an old intake pipe as a guide. That's going too 😁 Yeah I know, could easily reuse it blah blah blah but I want to sell it as a kit with my old intake cover, catch can setup. Just final mock ups before it sees the powder coater with the subframe.

HKS GTIII-4R VS HKS GTIII-5R RB26DETT

Both junk, waste of resources to produce them. -
RB26 intake manifold on RB20
Dose Pipe Sutututu replied to Hcr32typem's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
jesus, that's some solid determination! One would think just running a Plazmaman complete intake manifold/plenum with a DBW throttle would be miles ahead of what that RB26 ITB setup would/could offer with all it's mid century fittings. -

Hey All, Looking for some OEM Automatic parts, generally these things go straight into the bin but I'm happen to pay a small fee for your troubles I'm after the following from a R33 or R34 Auto: Brake Pedal Flex Plate (automatic flywheel pretty much) Flex Plate bolts Torque converter -> flex plate bolts I don't need the torque converter or box, might take the gearbox mount if that's also no use to you. I'm located around Cabramatta, NSW 2166 but don't mind if the parts are posted to me either. Cheers, Dose Pipe

R34 manual conversion wiring
Dose Pipe Sutututu replied to Ashley33's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
@CowsWithGuns do you happen to have your auto brake pedal, flex plate, flex plate bolts you want to sell for cheap to me instead of throwing into the recycling bin? -
Price difference brah, M340i is still dreaming territory in terms of coinage, RS4 is true drug dealer league lol

the M340i Wagon sure makes me horny, too bad we don't get it here Mrs Dose Pipe also says no to wagons, SUVs or a UTE(lolwtfbbq yes) only for a family car. I can get a wagon as a daily for myself though
-
I purposely made mine blend it and boring looking so it wouldn't stand out, last thing I want is attention. It's not even low, it's probably in the top 10% of the world's highest R33s LOL
-
I would go a boring run of the mill colour such as the one below. Don't need to wash it often, can get dirty and won't look dirty. Also would rock those stupid oversized Euro plates too to cover up the stupid front bar. However, the thought of a M340i is making me more horny. AWD, B58 platform, ZF box (ticking many boxes here)

Apparently "cast ain't fast" so yeah, no sponsorship for me, also I don't have a GT-R lol

On the contrary, running rich actually cools everything down.
