  1. You're not one of those guys who hates on everything just to be different and edgy are you... Do you tend to love a band until they make a hit song and appear on commercial radio? We've never shared a slab so I dunno the cut of your jib..
  2. f**k you guys talk some shit lol
  3. I kind of want to paint it the same colour as the GT-R =\
  4. You got a thing for slow Silvia's or something
  5. Footage from yesterday is useless as I accidentally aimed the GoPro at the revision mirror so that takes up most of the frame, as does my serious expression. Quality is good though so I'm happy with the new camera setup. Wouldn't mind a better GPS as there's some syncing issues with my older 5hz model. Anyway, shaved off 2 tenths from the PB and had a class win, won a shirt. That's 3 from 3. Was a very mixed day with rain all over the place as some interesting groupings (I almost hit 1 guy a few times as he just wasn't watching his mirrors). First session was wet and the car misfired like a bitch, almost rear ended someone and drove off track to avoid, good times. Coulnd't find the cause of the misfire, but removed and reseated all connections, checked all hoses etc and it just went away 0_0 Second session was dry and clear track so that was the PB. 3rd session I almost hit people again and never got a clean lap then the coolant line to the turbo broke away from the fitting and I couldn't be assed trying to fix it given I was confident the time would be enough and the rain kept coming and going. Was expecting more from the AR1s, they are wider and softer than the RS-R. I can see in my footage there's time to be had though so I'm confident I'll go faster on them next year, but by that stage I'll have replaced this turbo so it'll be impossible to tell. I think I ran them too low, about 34psi hot. They seem to want higher pressures but I didn't get a chance to test, also firmer damper settings than I normally run. Was yet another great day out and a good result for the little CA that can
  6. Flares gave me clearance for 255s, stickers will slow me down because the CA can't handle that extra weight
  7. I've got so many left over stickers from purchases that never get used. Just tell me what you want fam, Aeroflow? Moroso? Kelford Cams?
  8. Only minor PB improvement which was disappointing as they are wider and supposedly sticker. This is compared to 6yr old thrased 235 RS-R. However, first session was wet, car had misfire, second session was dry and i shaved off some tenths on the PB without thinking I was going that fast, 3rd session I made a camber/damper adjustment which felt probably better in some ways, worse in others, but got held up in traffic on each hot lap then busted the car (minor). There's definitely more in it, but I was not immediately blown away. I also think I made the mistake of running too low hot pressures, around 34ish. They also seem like to firmer damper settings. Can see the driver side cops it worse at this track, anti-clockwise with a highish speed continuous right hander. I feel like I could have done the same thing on 255 RS-RR, which will last longer and cost less. It was also a hotter day than my last PB, despite rain it was still 30 degrees. Wont get another go til next year and by then will have made other changes to the car. Will aim for higher hot temps. Dirt on the outside is from driving onto grass to load car.
  9. Nice gear! Surge tank is porn. "plenty of GTR owners will be begging for mercy as I pass them full noise sideways through 3rd gear sweepers, snapping into 4th spitting flames" Maybe basic bolt on GT-Rs? Anything with the same level of mods as your car, when it's finished, wouldn't be giving any f**ks about a SR powered Silvia with an old GT turbo lol What are you gonna do when you finally buy your GT-R and you get chopped by absolutely everything all the time and everywhere 0_0
  10. I would've said 235 and 255 are more common performance tyre sizes and prices often reflect that. Either way, as long as you got what you needed for a good price
  11. 245 is an awkward and expensive size. I got full set of 255 17s for 720 I think.
  12. I got mine here. https://www.facebook.com/Autosport-Tyre-World-717323221642985/
  13. OK see how we go. Hoping the track temps don't chew up the compound too quickly.
  14. Oh the irony. Old dinosaur turbo over here. Hah, Look at how many religious dudes voted no for SSM that love cock. Why do you think someone's actual choices will line up with the opinion they push on others? Fatz, will be a very good comparison - Looking forward to it.
  15. When you get the new thing installed, take Baked for another ride so we can get another Haiku about how the cherry blossoms bloomed as it came onto boost and the buttery smoothness of the shift action as the billet components perfectly meshed to deliver over almost 400kW of JDM goodness to Sydney's mean streets.
  16. First time using my AR1 this weekend, did we work out what the best starting pressure was? Gonna be a 30deg day
  17. You can get an easy 1m lift out of something like this too. https://tufflift.com.au/product/mid-rise-scissor-lift-ee-mr35/
  18. Ahh I see what you mean. Happ is cheaper too, though it has a higher min height, but does come with ramps. Happ also lifts further.
  19. The maxjax has good stats, but that 180 must be low AF to sit under it. It's only a 1.1M lift to the pad. My silvia is easy 1.3m. You were saying it only has 2 locking points though?
  20. That 404s for me, wtf is wrong with that website for me >.< So they're top feed 875cc...about the size I might want for my Sil e85 conversion....
  21. So, a grinder, sledgehammer, some self tappers, and cable ties later I have done all I think I can for now in terms of guard clearance. Folded the seam down at the back of the guard and clearanced the front tub section up. Kept as much of the liner in where it was protecting the loom. Just need to block up the moroso crankcase evac kit valve to stop that exhaust leak and we're good for Sunday. Car is looking Ricetastic now with 40mm more track. Forum has disabled media sharing?
