  1. SPECIAL VEHICLE IMPORTS ~ BRISBANE, gets my vote. When I decided to chase an import I called SVI. Mick (the principle) from SVI in Brisbane found, inspected, purchased, imported, complied & assisted in temporary registration of my Stagea in Queensland back in 2006. Organised over the phone from WA. Never met the gentleman before I picked up the car ( Mick was recommended to me by my son) & I haven't seen or heard from Mick/SVI since, apart from the initial "do not hesitate to contact if there is a problem" kind of thing. Not that I ever needed to, the car was perfect, there were no surprises, either in final cost or vehicle quality Mick gave me absolutely everything I had asked for at the price quoted. I drove the car out of his workshop & headed for WA. Car never missed a beat on that journey (3500km~ 3.5 days) & has not since. I had the alternator replaced about 3 years ago. That's it. Couldn't have been happier with the service & thanks to the forum for giving me the opportunity to do it now. I do not know if Mick or SVI are still trading. My 2c Cheers GW
  2. Locksmith locksmith locksmith. My 2c Good luck GW PS: Before it's properly foobahed.
  3. http://www.rhdjapan.com/cusco-adjustable-pillow-ball-tension-rods-nissan-9366 Dunno if ER34 chassis parameters will fit the bill but someone else might? Cheers GW Go Freo!
  4. Start reading the Saturday West Australian newspaper to kick off your job hunt make some phone calls, if you haven't already. Check out job prospects before moving because things have been slowing down over here these last few months. Rental property prices are not in this category however. All the best, GW
  5. We just went through this at my son's flat. Replacing bathroom taps, all done except the last screw fitting in the wall, got excited & busted copper pipe in wall. Job escalated to needing professional assist very quickly. Got onto a local tradie on Facebook doing cashies. ($50 all done) If you are lucky you can check out history (tradie of choice previous successes/failures) & get a reference from the same medium before you commit. Worked for us. Cheers GW
  6. Hey Nathan, just in case you haven't got onto the check procedure, see attached, to check out the Hicas you need to do the test procedure to determine what the Hicas computer thinks is wrong. Or get onto someone with Consult OBD II(?) ~ Nissan dealer maybe. There are a number of sensors/conditions that could give you a warning light, it could be triggered by one or more than one error code OK. Cheers GW Hicas diagnostic procedure.docx
  7. Gingin ~ Toodyay by the most direct route, past Army exercise area, take map, thermos & lunch. Map is important else you could end up heading to Moora. (been there done that). Cheers GW
  8. ^^ Back on track......good......now....... here come the Dockers!
  9. Hi Nathan, feel your grief. My hicas light is on permanently after a wheel alignment. Did the hicas test with the forward reverse brake pumping steering wheel thingy as described in the how to section. Got a code back that pointed to one rear wheel sensor being dodgy. Can't remember if left or right now, time passes. This result was repeatable over several test runs at different time when frustration set in. Decided easiest way was to swap sensors over to see if fault went from left to right, had a look around underneath, no visible damage/broken wires/loose or disconnected plugs, swapping sides was looking a bit tricky so decided I cbf'd. Read somewhere that hicas goes to default mode (does nothing) when warning light comes on. Maybe one day I will get round to getting it fixed when I find someone who knows the system or if some knowledgeable soul here says this is a serious issue that should be rectified asap. However; Quote or when you gradually slow down or you hold the brake on then a clunking noise starts towards the back car around the diff also as you turn the steering wheel on 45 degrees each way you get a hard spot and it click towards the front Unquote. These issues should be checked soonest IMHO. Cheers, let us know how you went. GW
  10. Slip down to the Optima guys & let them do the thinking for you man. Done deal. Cheers GW
  11. Hi Chris................old thread I know but I am curious as to whether these codes were cleared & if so what was the cure? I now have similar problem after dodgy wheel alignment. The below is for R33 Skyline (1994 ~ 1999) & I guess they will do for C34 Stagea. Codes are; 22 = Steering angle sensor not present. 23 = Steering angle sensor neutral or not present. Apologies if this question has been answered elsewhere. GW
  12. Big start right there dude. Cheers GW
  13. What he said. Apologies if that is not helpful but "There it is!" Cheers GW
  14. If you're an idiot Alan then there's at least two of us on here. I don't get anything from that posted pic neither. If it was me I would be heading down to the R33 GTR suspension boys in your State with my alignment sheet & wallet. Saves finding out what the problem really is when it decides to go terminal. (All 260 owners are cashed-up, right?) My 2c GW No offense to picture poster intended.
  15. Hey Miltuun, -4 deg fahrenheit is like 36 degrees of frost in the "old money". You gotta get outta there man. Did you check/replace fuse like Duncan suggested? Did you check voltage at disconnected fuel pump connector in boot within 2 seconds? Need very long test leads (& no sparks) or two pairs of eyes for this, especially if you are on ice. Best of luck with the fix, let the forum know how it turned out. Cheers GW
  16. Jump on to the auction sites or Nengun/RHDjapan & check it out there. Cheers GW

  18. ^^ What he says is as good a place as any to start. Renew overflow hose (if you haven't already) from radiator to o/flow bottle & see how you go. Cheers GW
  19. Buy the hood, fix the car, fit a lock bar & enjoy. Cheers, GW
  20. Great choice Henri & welcome. GW
  21. All of the above & then some for me...........no two ways about it, SK's willingness to share knowledge, the many hours spent on detailed explanations, on record on this forum to anyone who asked, speaks for itself & with his down to earth technical answers to the many questions he fielded on the Skyline & variants on what makes RB's tick...................priceless. Stick him in the SAU hall of Fame! My 2c. GW
  22. Give Andrew at Hyperdrive a ring. If it's the same "Ant" (worked for Tenegah before Xspeed) he was doing occaisional work about a year ago for Andrew when not on drill rigs?
