exactly. a stock 32/33/34 GTR are as boring as it gets. they have far more grip and chassis than power so you can't really cause yourself any trouble in them. my stock FD RZ RX7 was way more fun than my stock 34 GTR and I owned them both at the same time so I remember it clearly. the fact was though even standard the 34 would do higher corner speeds etc but the FD felt twice as 'fun' at half the speed. I've owned stock 32,33,34 and 35 and of them all in standard form the 35 is probably the most exciting as the pure acceleration can keep you entertained for a while in a straight line and on the track is way more fun than any of the other 3 in standard form. like snowy said a modded 35 will get the pulse going. change the exhaust or at least the mid-section, get a chip in it and some boost, some good pads basically the same basic mods you'd do to any other GTR and away you go.

yeah tried but can't seem to make it happen. made a bloody account and everything. bastards. -
feared because if he's behind you in a race you can just feel that rear ender or up the inside t-bone coming..... now, what's all this nonsense about schumacher coming back? can anyone seriously see it happening? I can't. I'd love to see him drive again, but maybe it's a good thing he's retired and I'll I have is fond memories. don't want him to come back and not perform.

what are you using for boost control, and what boost level are you running as max boost?

ok, will look this weekend. I have the full set of gaskets sitting on top of my crate motor and from memory they are all there. head to spacer thing, spacer to throttles, throttles to plenum etc. all there.

take that back. sato is awesome. the most feared driver in F1.... go Taku go!

yeah the budget is about $30K out. I'm not sure about "selling the 33 GTR and adding some coin" they are a BIG step apart price wise. you'll need about $140K + your R33 GTR (worth about $30K tops) to be looking at buying a new R35 GTR. yes they are an amazing car and represent excellent value for money. is it the right car for you? who knows. if you can afford it, and think you'll enjoy it, then I say buy it. if you don't like it you should be able to sell it a few months down the line without taking a massive loss.

have seen I think all of the jap cars there in person and mark and russ's 34 is every bit of car they are and then some! it's in good company but by no means is it out classed. except maybe by that yankee scion with the super duper front wing. that thing is pretty 'special'.... -
Hks Japan 2.8 Engine Build

I wouldn't worry about it too much. it's easy to change. rather than p1ss them off by telling them everyone in aus reckons run standard plumb backs just run whatever they recommend. if you hate it or have problems down the line it's not a big deal to change back to a standard type set-up or just buy a trust type R which work great either plumb back or vented to atmosphere. I have run both ways and never had a problem with either. my last GTR making around 330rwkw ran standard and the current one runs twin blitz ones vented to atmosphere and both set-ups work fine. -
I don't think it would be possible to forge that. if you could do that you could just about print money as they need your passport, japanese rego, tax, parking space papers, and any entry and exit stamps on your passport. so if you can forge that I say forget doing personal imports start selling forged passports and fake money!!!

well I can agree 100% with that. trulli is a f**king hack. I hate the cnt. I cannot count on my fingers and toes the number of races I've seen him wreck for webber. trulli is probably half responsible for the fact that these days webber can be a bit aggressive in defending and passing. he got sick of playing by the rules and spending 80% of a race sitting behind bloody trulli who was 2 seconds a lap slower than him at all points in the race but had qualified well and somehow managed to just hold everyone in the mid-pack up as much as possible. someone please bring back sato to put some fear of a nice t-boning into trulli...

mine had the 7 speed but one of them was so fast it felt like I was going backwards and the world was moving forwards. either that or it was reverse. all these people have very polarised opinions on the R8 and the R35. I don't know how many have even seen both in the flesh let alone driven both. I have. admittedly many more km in R35s but they are definitely a faster car and have a better box (even if it does only have 6 forward gears unlike birds' one). if we are talking performance car of the year then it would have to be the R35 in my eyes. but then isn't that award for NEW cars? if so then aren't we 2 years late? I ordered my first R35 in 2007 and it was delivered in early 08 and a mate ordered his early 07 and was driving in december 07. hardly a new car for 2009....

yeah I would love to see the old boy come back but I can't see it happening. if ferrari couldn't get him to come back for even a little cameo appearance then other teams have fk all chance I say. so what's the new points system someone?

Tarmac Rallying Perpetual Thread

what are they deeming to be a 'radial tyre'? I mean A050s are a radial tyre. so are DZ03Gs, so are RE55s and they are all road legal to boot. so they need to think carefully about what they are actually trying to exclude? is it r-comps like those above they want out? restricting people to road legal radial tyres wont achieve that as they are road legal radial tyres. -
Thinking Of Tuning Up My R32 Gtr, Need Ideas

I used genuine nissan Z32 AFMS on my last built (stage 2.5 lol) GTR. they were fine. the only ones I've had problems with have been the cheap bosch Z32s that hit the market in big numbers a few years ago. many have been fine but I've seen many of them with problems too, and also many with poor quality control, the GENUINE NISSAN ones though are great, but a bit expensive. I've also used nismo ones and have a set for my current build. they are good, very nice quality and not too expensive. some tuners don't like them as the voltage curve is slightly different to the Z32 afm (because they have the smaller 65mm body vs the 80mm Z32 body). but this can easily be overcome by a competent tuner. my advice would be use genuine nissan Z32 afms if you want (but of course then you need to make some small changes to your intake as they are larger than factory) or use the nismo ones. both are fine. personally I like the nismo ones, but I guess if I wanted really big power I'd go the Z32s as their physical size will make a difference at some point. -

personally I would not bother getting a custom made exhaust done. I've had liverpool exhaust make stuff for me before for other cars, but for a GTR there is no need. there must be more 32 GTR exhausts out there than just about any other car. at this point (stage one) you don't need the dump pipes as the cost of good ones, and the labour of fitting them is not worth the small gain with factory turbos. so just buy a set of front pipes off the shelf, and a nice big 4" cat (don't waste time with the small ones) and you can add that to the cat back exhaust you have already.
