  1. Tried to upload a vid, but forum says no. I forgot how good it sounds. So deep and throaty.
  2. So........ Gold: Starter motor wiring connected Clutch slave bolted up Front tail shaft installed Gearbox filled Front diff filled Battery connected And started for the first time in over 2 years! Fark yeah! Also washed it. Feels so good. (Unfortunately I have an oil leak. I suspect the front turbo oil feed. Will check it out tomorrow)
  3. Gold: Rear muffler on Starter motor in!(was procrastinating because it's a PITA) Transfer oil in Lower bell housing bolts in Connected fan wiring Still have to connect the starter wiring, fit clutch slave, fill front diff and gearbox. Then, should be good to go. No pics today(sorry) Called it a little early as my light went flat.
  4. Depends on blue slip inspection. Need to find someone a little lenient. Anyone know anyone?
  5. Gold: What did I get done today? Read on to find out.... Purchased some oils and drive belts(also purchased drive belts for the white one while I was there) Installed said belt(power steer) Installed radiator Installed shifter assembly Installed strut brace cross bar Installed centre muffler section of exhaust Finished filling with run in oil(I was 2l short from my last lot) Filled with coolant Was going to fill transfer and diff, but couldnt crack the transfer fill plug. Checked and confirmed i also need gearbox oil(dont know why I drained it) Painted the exhaust tip black again, as the paint had perished. Any other questions?
  6. Cheers mate. Honestly surprised no one has bagged out the stock air box. I was curious to see if it would work with the 30 bottom end. Was a little tight, but got there.
  7. Gold: Wasnt going to do anything today, but I ended up doing some work. 2x boost pipes connected Intake pipes and air box fitted Bov recirc pipes and hoses fitted Ac belt on Reconnect throttle cable
  8. Gold: Busy day yesterday. Connected heater lines, injector harness, coolant and air temp sensors, main earth and alternator wiring. Also installed clutch, gearbox, tailshaft and front exhaust merge pipe. Have also connected the ps drive shaft. And popped bonnet back on. Getting so close.
  9. Sloppy matt? Also, will be more than half hour. Maybe 1 or 2 each night.
  10. Gold: Getting closer. The engine is actually sitting in the bay!!! Still a LOT to do. But, can progress through the week now.
  11. Gold: Ok, knew I had metal throttle body gaskets somewhere. They reared their head on my toolbox at work today. Glad I hadn't put the motor in, or I wouldn't bother, as it's a PITA. So, removed plenum, throttle bodies and IAC assembly. Installed metal gaskets(with a hylomar coating) and reassembled. Will be a good addition if I ever swap to e85 and start trying more boost. White: Washed to carbon bonnet that has been sitting in the garage for about a year.
  12. Glad to hear, mang. May have to head west for a ride shotgun.
  13. Just read. I have a feeling this is going to be like project binky(in regards to the length between updates). Hoping it's not the case. Also, have to put the globex corp logo on the sides.....
  14. Gold: Put the T in the head drain and rear turbo hose. Hunting around for an option that would fit due to the different sizes in the hoses. 19mm brass T was about $65. Went to bunnings and found pretty much what I needed for $6. Required a little modding, but got there in the end. Wrapped in heat wrap due to the proximity to the turbo dump pipes. Being street driven, should be ok. Also, tightened the harmonic balancer.
  15. Gold: Fit the IAC assembly. Placed on harmonic balancer. Fit alternator belt Fit oil filter Fit drivers engine mount Fit rear head drain. Not much left now. Have to tighten the balancer and try and get a joiner for the rear head drain hose. Then, its ready to drop in.
  16. Yep. Had a small clearance already in it. And the longer to the rear, as usual. I suspect they're just big housings.
  17. When your garage doesn't have an actual light.......you improvise.
  18. Turbos are trust 618z, journal bearing. 10cm rear housings. Inlet is also greedy. Just turned out that way.
  19. Gold: Had a hole in the rear dump pipe welded, which meant i could finally fit it all up. Installed both turbos, dumps, merge pipe, turbo oil drain hoses, oil feeds. Front dump pipe was fouling the rear turbo(swapped the hip dumps that were originally on these turbos to the nismo turbos in the white car as it will see track use). 'Clearenced' it with a hammer. Came up ok. Can see in the pics how close it still is. These turbos are massive. I finally put factory rear housing heat shields on, and they touch and bend on the rear housing due to the size. Anyway, keep those questions coming. XXX I cant afford a big single and decent gear box yet, so staying twins for now. One day XXX
