  1. No I look inside each component before its welded up.
  2. Read the RB30 PDF - there is a good discussion on rods and pistons. I suspect the most popular numerically is stock.
  3. This looks like a handy device. It suggests putting it in the fuel pump line but you could use in a number of ways to disable the car: http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=704435597
  4. I don't read Japanese either but if you have the cold climate package you are likely to have a switch on the right of the steering column that turns on an element at the bottom of the windscreen to unfreeze the wipers and when you push the rear window demister button that should turn on the wing mirror heaters as well.
  5. Gidday! How about some pics?
  6. I presume your car is a manual transmission?
  7. That looks good. Do you have the narrower subframe? You could probably get 275s on there.
  8. Well done. The only other person I know who successfully installed 10in wheels also got the guards professionally extended in steel.
  9. Would take you 5mins to try alternative plumbing.
  10. Could be the warning light for the cat converter - shouldn't be too hard to fix.
  11. Sounds ok I have 314 awkw with stock unbalanced bottom end but with rings, bearings and conrod bolts limited to 7000rev/min and 1.5bar. If you don't do the bearings limit it to 6000 - 6500 and it should make near enough the same power.
  12. It is possible to get adjustable arms with bushes.
  13. Just get longer chrome plated steel nuts. Aluminium wheel nuts are not acceptable here are some steel nuts - you will need to see if they are long enough : http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/RED-STEEL-TUNER-WHEEL-NUTS-x20-ROTA-M12x1-25mm-/151084524636?pt=AU_Car_Parts_Accessories&hash=item232d56e45c or http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/BLACK-STEEL-WHEEL-NUTS-x20-ROTA-M12x1-25mm-/161178369963?pt=AU_Car_Parts_Accessories&hash=item2586fabfab (don't know why the don't give the length - you will have to ask.
  14. Main problem is most likely the spring rate so damper adjustment won't help.
  15. I have no experience with PFC but Mac Solenoids can replace the solenoid on most boost controllers and in fact many boost controllers just use rebadged Mac valves. I suspect yours is plumbed wrongly. If it were a Mac valve I think you should supply boost (from your intercooler pipe) to Port 1 and run port 2 to the actuator. Can you try this? (no doubt you would have to make adjustments to the PFC). [With a Link it makes no difference if the valve is NO or NC as you just adjust the duty cycle accordingly]
  16. ^^what he said. If you are getting a custom item take the whole car and turbo and wastegate to the fabricator so that he can ensure the dump pipe will have a clear run and you won't foul the strut tower (or anything else).
  17. Yes use a press or gas axe out (maybe hacksaw?)and vise to get the new one in.
  18. I'm not saying the internal feed won't work - just that people on this forum recently have tried and failed. If you look at Webber's site (link above) you'll find instructions on how he did it.
  19. What have you changed? Have you upped the injector size relative to the ECU?
  20. Well done! I'd say you could get plenty of work in Aus or NZ sorting out people's wiring.
  21. These parts are in NZ but they are closer than Perth or Japan! Having said that I would have thought there would be an equivalent manufacturer in Aus. If you use a good mid resonator and a quality oval muffler you will definitely have a legal exhaust - not sure how quiet you want below that. My cat + mid resonator + cannon is legal so replacing the cannon with an oval muffler will make it a bit quieter still.
  22. You will not get a Nistuned S2 Stagea ECU to run your S1 auto Stagea successfully. Many tuners will not be able to tune HKS F-Con ecus because they will not have the necessary software. Your best solution is to piggy back a Greddy E-manage on to the stock S1 ECU and the ultimate fix is to dump the auto and put a GTR box in there and then you can run any ECU you want (that you can find a tuner for)or then you can use the Nistuned S2 ecu (if wired correctly).
  23. Should be fine (but noisy!).
  24. Pretty sure it has been stated many times S2 ecu into S1 auto won't work.
  25. Doubt that it would work on an auto - do you know if it was a manual S!?
