  1. Spotted red C34 in Seven hills, SAU sticker on the window.
  2. I'll happily give you his name & contact details if that's what you want, he does quite a bit of GTR work & is an ex-Nissan technician. Just send me a PM, but you seem to have a bit of an axe to grind . The WHOLE REASON I posted in this topic was to illustrate what I thought constituted a great workshop; if I had a shit relationship with them, I would've said so.
  3. Yep,It'd be a ball having all your character flaws pointed out, right up to the point where someone smashed a bottle over his head and threw him in the fire . The last few pages are a refreshing change from the usual "Just don't speed and you won't get caught" B.S. I can't believe actual car enthusiasts are starting to swallow the Government line on speed. The OP wasn't denying anything, so the "waaahhh, waaahhh" is completely unnecessary.
  4. Fixed my wobbly windscreen rearview mirror today. Now I can see what's behind me again.
  5. How does your radiator look? Installed yet?
  6. Congrats on the purchase, looks great, you'll enjoy the 4wd over winter. Plenty of info on here, and cluey ppl if you run into dramas. Welcome to Stagea world.
  7. +1 for Lock Bar. If it was working keep it, but save your money and bone it now, unless you can find a good second hand one.
  8. At a guess, the 2WD would likely be V35 parts.
  9. That's got to be good news!
  10. Rear of the engine bay, drivers side, behind the throttle body (or behind the left rear bolt on the plastic engine cover).
  11. My RS also has HICAS
  12. Nice! The world needs more of these dumps, they kick arse!
  13. Ok guys, looks like there's enough interest to justify a group buy . So I'll be organising this, look out for a group buy thread, it'll have firm prices and hopefully delivery times etc. Thanks to those who've let me know so quickly , and obviously, anyone else who's interested, let me know!
  14. No strut towers to bolt a strut brace onto!
  15. Do a search on the "farting" noise, I'm sure Spoolin'12 had a buggered BOV, might be a place to start.
  16. Spotted Iain's Stag folornly hiding in the garage, quietly wetting itself... Get well soon little Stag No worries mate, anytime.
  17. Ok, what you're thinking of is a Strut Brace, This is a bar that crosses the top of the strut towers effectively tying the back of the car together. A Sway bar (anti roll bar) is attached to the suspension UNDERNEATH the car. It is not inside the car at all. The one difference you will notice with Anti Roll Bars is over "single wheel bumps" i.e. potholes, as the bar increases the "single wheel spring rate", due to it's extra resistance to bending. This, I actually consider a good thing, as it is extra resistance to bottoming out your suspension Guys, please PM if you're interested, otherwise I'll just be going ahead on my own...
  18. I would say we're probably several weeks away from needing cash. I don't want to have to wait too long though...
  19. Ok everybody, I've had a busy morning! On the phone with Todd Selby this morning, asked about the possibility of NM35 sway bars, he says no problem! Result! Initial pricing is $285-$310 front, depending on complexity and $260 rear. Both are as per the original sizes 30mm solid front, blade adjustable 24mm rear, blade adjustable. The adjustment will be one hole either side of the original mount point, giving three position adjustment. This pricing will change if we can get a worthwhile number of people together in the form of a multi buy. So, what I need is an expression of GENUINE interest from those who wish to have these. Once I have numbers, I'll firm up the price with Todd and get back to you. Once the price is set, I will be asking for cash up front to go ahead, (so I'm not left holding the bag if things go wrong) if at this point, people don't come good with the funds, you will be on your own, I will not wait. The above prices do not include freight, this will be extra. Don't worry, I'm not intending to make any money out of this, just trying to make it a bit cheaper for everyone. Pm me with your interest, and hopefully we can get this going. If you're not interested, please don't get caught up in the excitement, as you'll be wasting everyone's time not just mine. Cheers, Dale.
  20. That is a tidy set up!
  21. That's completely incorrect, I've bought my own car back from an insurance company, it was a repairable write off (due to the cost of repair exceeding the value of the vehicle). I then had it professionally repaired, took it back to THE SAME INSURER, and they happily re-insured it for more than it was worth before the accident. At the same time I put on a new roof skin to get rid of a poorly fitted sunfoof. All they wanted was evidence that the repairs had been done in a professional manner. This was easy as I had reciepts for all the new parts and for the repairs. The car looked brilliant and drove perfectly, because the job had been done properly. If your repairer knows what they are doing, there is no risk in driving a repaired car. The risk that people are referring to comes from poor quality repairs, done by cowboys in their backyard. Most of these types of repairs are easily spotted if you inspect the car carefully. The hallmark of a well repaired car is, the repairs are normally indistinguishable to the unrepaired part of the car. If I didn't know who had repaired a car I was looking at buying, I would probably avoid it, but that would only be in the case of a major (structural repair) fix up. Most cars of a certain age will have had a parking dent repaired, or a bumper replaced, normally you can use these kind of things as bargaining chips when negotiating price. At the end of the day it's a bit like the old "never been driven in the rain" kind of thing, just because someone tells you a car has never been crashed; doesn't mean it hasn't. Conversely, just because a car has been crashed; doesn't automatically make it an uninsurable deathtrap. If you're not sure, have the vehicle professionally inspected, if you're still not sure, keep looking. Better to wait and get something you're happy with, rather than buy someone elses problems.
  22. The laws regarding transporting animals on the tanks of bike were changed a couple of years ago, I'm convinced it was a direct response to the attention Bundy recieved in the media. Also I'm pretty sure this is actually "Bundy II", as I believe sadly, the original Bundy was thrown from the tank and subequently died after a stupid manoeuvre by a careless motorist.
  23. There was a thread in suspension, a guy with a GTR asked for lighter spring rates than they normally supply in their external reservoir kit, and dampers were revalved to suit at no extra cost. So their service is pretty comprehensive, I don't think I've heard any negative feedback about them.
  24. In BC's own material they claim to have 100mm of adjustment from std height.
