  1. if you want to quieten down the zorst a little you should consider putting a turbo on it
  2. 30 is a very low profile - some tyres just don't work well with low profiles. glad there was no serious outcome
  3. my 350z had exactly the same issue (seatbelt wearing on the seat), mine was convertible. nissan said it was perfectly normal and I should expect the seat to look like rubbish after 12 months. usual nissan "support" and "warranty"
  4. understood. and 99% of people I know use those licenses only in NSW for motorkhanas and wakie track days. Now they will have to pay twice as much for the same result. and further, the cams L2S is now a cheaper way to meet both those requirements.
  5. $20 webber runs out of fuel before the end
  6. not a fuse, it's all mechanical. i guess they just broke something when they were winding the klm back.
  7. no, "what YOU talking about?" responding to post 8
  8. indeed....very surprised he did
  9. BTW how bad was that run for the poor farce india guy! first the car in front loses a wheel in pit lane. then a renault launches into him. somedays you should not get out of bed. FA should send renault a bill for that
  10. lol RBR handed an opportunity to fcuk webber on a platter. sif they wouldnt take it to pay him back for the "#2 driver" comment.
  11. meh I don't think I am wrong on cheapy turbos. yet. It's only 2 down so far and the 2nd was clearly not right as it only lasted 1 week (warranty replacement). But I'll be happy to admit when (if?) I change my mind one thing I forgot to mention...fuel economy is still terrible, no better than before. i guess i could fix or improve that with a lighter foot or bigger turbo, but I just love how it goes too much
  12. lol however i suspect la bomba yo won't be around to answer the question. i was not aware of any colour specific to r32 vspec 1.
  13. Hey dean get a diff shop to sort it out, it's not as easy as just throwing in a nismo or any other kit - there will be existing wear to take into account as well. the nismo kit is nothing special just some particular thickness clutch discs
  14. lol no doubt she'll be driving the race car....its just a question of whether I am allowed to drive the stagea as well or if we are just taking one car. either way it will be huge, would be great to see a decent stagea turn out
  15. sure do...check out what santa brought me last xmas http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Sa...ml&hl=santa
  16. a quick update here....2 china turbos gone in 6 months (well, 1 lasted 6 months, the other lasted one week), but I have not decided to ditch them yet. I am getting the turbo core modified to run a larger thrust washer (same failure both times) and see if that works. almost went for a cheap 3040 but I just want to get it back on the road quickly, moving house atm. also switching to gtr injectors (440cc) instead of the standard gtst ones because I've seen over 98% duty cycle a couple of times, that is too close for my comfort. the good thing about the china intake is that it has mountings for either side mount or top mount fuel rails.
  17. I have an EL hand controller in my hot little hands.....however both my cars with PFC at at mechanics atm. I am 99% certain it is the same as the old controller, just coloured and ricier.
  18. no problems at all welding it up, will be as good as new. except....these subframes are very strong and I have almost never heard of a problem with one. get them to check everything really carefully to look for other problems, bad bushes, signs of towing large loads in the past etc etc
  19. that's exactly what happened to me twice. "fool me once, shame on you. fool me twice, shame on me"
  20. I did not notice any slack in the fit, it was snug as it should be.
  21. ahh a mix of unlucky, mistakes (mine and others), and running the car harder than pretty much anyone else one here. and most importantly i don't care about covering up failures....lets share knowledge
  22. re the yoko a050 being faster....I should have said I was talking about race use. A050 only come in a medium compound (or super soft as used at superlap), not a hard, so they are not an option unless you can afford a set every track day. full on super sprinting/superlap/whatever is a different story. soft tyres of any brand will outperform sensible/hard tyres from any other brand. eg I ran kumho wets once years ago and took the old blue gtst into the 1.10s at wakie. but who can afford new tyres every session?
  23. what size wheels do you have, and what is the standard tyre size?
  24. well that will make life harder. never seen anyone running a spool in an r200 diff, don't think they exist. can you run gtr diff in a 32 gtst?
  25. lol stealing 20 sec!
