  1. lol. I want the bridge. I wonder how much?
  2. not sure which tie rods are longer, but you should look into "steering rack spacers". The screw into the rack and then the tie rod screws onto the end, spacing it out. as for thread I am also not sure - but it may have different threads in 33 for front vs rear steering rack, 32 certainly does, so make sure you specify front.
  3. can't remember but it would not have been over 200....it was in the gtst which had about 160rwkw. Eastern Creek straight is definately faster than a 1klm runway because even though it's shorter you enter it at 100, really quick cars do 240-280 there. And like Snowy said Phillip Island is an order of magnitude quicker because you enter it at 180
  4. well another option...I'll take mine to Oran Park on Friday and Sat for the race meet and there is no entry fee - so if you get there you are welcome to borrow it.
  5. yeah mate it is....off to Oran Park this weekend, it is closing next weekend so it's my second last chance
  6. meh. still looks like its an rb20
  7. for what it's worth...I'm using the steel ones Neil is having trouble with, and no problems atm. Mine have had far less use than his though. One other problem with them is 20l is bloody heavy to hold the jerry while it slowly fills....and for a skyline 20l jerrys really are not big enough (my car does about 100l/100klm at full noise). pete - the trailer mounts are for the rectangular plastic or metal 20l jerries that neil and i have. same as the death trailer which has 4 mounts on it. stu - no such rules with CAMS, and I'd be surprised if adnra had one considering how the jungle juice always comes in metal containers. russ - neil already has a dipstick in the car - it sits between the steering wheel and the seat. ha ha ha.
  8. lol variation in e85 is an issue eh....they should check the consistency of 98 octane supplies from the pump! amazing that a national body could allow such a conflict of interest to exist....no credability....but I'm sure they will have to act once there is enough pressure.
  9. I recommend you listen to them all while your ban winds down?
  10. UAS are one of the few that resells these controllers, their number is 9620 9000 If you can't get in contact with them try contacting mountainrunner on these forums
  11. thats about the only thing I can think of on there - not relevent though. or maybe they mean electric plug on the aac, pcv or something
  12. I've run the 1000m at Goulburn airport and it was an absolute yawn. I would have though full laps of the bowl at Lang Langs would be worth doing snowy?
  13. nasty! oi....when did it become pick on stageas day
  14. I'd give the n1 pump a miss (costs more and not really right for a road car). But Ben (head mechanic at UAS) is excellent and very careful and thorough in his work. He built the last race engine in my car and it is going strong
  15. That sucks Chris....but I bet they are a shit load cheaper than rb26s! might just get away with a quick clean, hone and new pistons and rings? I assume it is ring lands - running lean maybe from the different intake? always need to run a car on a dyno after a major change.
  16. Thanks Jess, I'll have a chat to Gary and make sure I take the prod car wheels I'd be much happier there since that's what's it built for. Chris it was Irace that weren't letting me run in production cars (only because of age). I still can and will compete in the NSW Champs in Prod cars.
  17. no idea....but if I was going to chosse one setting for a track car it would be high not low. By the time you add some car speed low will be need to useless
  18. oh that's a nice twist! I haven't heard of this before...but they are always verrrrrrrrrry slow
  19. I reckon those guys will have a ball....actually I reckon we all will don't delay if you are entering we are either full or about to be - we will take entries in order received
  20. just to clarify, the only controller that is any use for drag is the HKS Kansai one linked aboe, and they are very hard to find. Every other attessa controller from the ebay one ($15 of parts for $250) up to mountainrunner's excellent ones use the same basic technique of bending the standard signals. The standard system already puts as much torque as it can to the front in a straight line so these controllers cannot increase front torque for drag use. They are absolutely excellent for track use though....
  21. Hey Owen, yes I have your form, and Tom same. David funnily enough there are 2 other Muscat's entered but neither are called David
  22. good point, I keep forgetting about class 2 And I've never looked at the rules! Yours is log booked as 2A isn't it?
  23. are you coming to texi and can you wait until then? I can bring one along
  24. hey we had 2 hairdresser cars last time and both placed near the top. probably would have won if they didn't both stop for a latte mid course. just send the details from the form to duncan(at)skylinesaustralia.com and I will make sure a place is reserved. what have you entered for the second car? Or do you have a mysterious stalker not sure re the extinguisher - when you get one tested they affix a dated tag but I don't know how this works with ones that have not been tagged
  25. yeah I just mean as long as they are around as organisations. All of them are under 5 years old and only time will tell if they have the financial and insurance backing to make it. eg 2 people died in a rally in adelaide a few weeks back - imagine the investigations and insurance pay outs if you are the organisers. I race in production cars, and although I have done heaps of work on the car it is 99% standard. Other than shocks/springs/ecu/exhaust/cam gears and safety stuff it is all factory including factory turbos, boost 12psi, standard cams, head, bottom end, wheels etc etc. Every new motor is fully measured and sealed to make sure I don't change anything from factory. When I run outside CAMS I just turn the boost up from 12 to 18 psi but thats it. Its probably got the lowest power of pretty much any skyline on the track. Its a bit late now....but when you build a car you need to pick the race category before you pick the car or you are in for a world of heartache and cost trying to make the wrong car fast. The AASA etc stuff is different - much looser (or no) rules and much less "serious".
