  1. Yep the whole manifold. Just used a new DET gasket and all bolted up easy as
  2. I used the DET intake manifold which has the fitting on the back for the water hose. And for the other one there is a water drain bung in the side of the block, I just pulled that out and got a fitting to screw in and used a braided hose onto the turbo. Pic is of the fitting in the block. Sorry haven't got anymore pics of it
  3. Well my +t conversion has been very successful, really happy with how it came out. Thanks for all the info on this thread, definitely made things easy. Dropped the car off at the tuners today and will let you guys know how much power it makes! Super keen to get it back and take it for a drive [emoji41]
  4. Yes can choose what pressure by adjusting the boost controller. And yes it will be constant boost not variable.
  5. Don't bother wiring it in, just run a boost tee or an r32 10psi actuator
  6. I've gone with an oil filter sandwich plate over the Tee as I've installed the stock gtt triple gauge cluster and will be having an oil temp gauge in there. I roughly measured it with a bit of rope to see the length I needed and was about 1100mm from the filter, I can let you know next week if it could be shorter or not. Yeah braided hose would be best 1200mm was roughly $70 from pirtek and that was for the highest quality hose they had.
  7. This is the na intake on top as you can see the ports are a lot smaller
  8. Thanks for the fast reply mate! Okay awesome that's pretty much what I had in mind anyway. I have a fitting in the turbo for the oil feed which is 12x1.25 to an4 and have got a restrictor that I can put in either end of the line so that will be good. I will be starting this conversion in 2 weeks so will let you know how I go. Thanks for the help [emoji4]
  9. Hey guys! I am wondering if any of you can confirm if there is a restrictor in the oil feed banjo bolt as well as the stock oil line? I have been to Pirtek and they have made me a braided oil feed line with the correct fittings and they have put the restrictor at the oil filter end. Do I need a banjo bolt with a restrictor too? (haven't got the stock bolts to check if there's a small hole). And does it matter that the restrictor in the line is 1200mm away on the other side of the engine? pics are of standard oil line, the hole on the block side is very small (is this the restrictor?) and the other end - bolts to turbo is quite large. Some people say theres even a restrictor build into the turbo? if one of you could confirm this that would be great! So many conflicting answers on the internet? have you guys used a restrictor in the oil feed line? thanks in advance ?
  10. Rb25 Neo oil feed Hey guys! Before I get flamed, yes I have searched but there's too many conflicting answers! I have an rb25de neo I'm putting a r34 Op6 turbo on, I am wondering if there is a restrictor in the oil feed banjo bolt as well as the stock oil line? I have been to Pirtek and they have made me a braided oil feed line with the correct fittings but they have put the restrictor at the oil filter end. Do I need a banjo bolt with a restrictor too? (haven't got the stock bolts). And does it matter that the restrictor in the line is 1200mm away on the other side of the engine? pics are of standard oil line, the hole on the turbo side is very small (is this the restrictor?) and the other end - engine block end is quite large. Some people say theres even a restrictor build into the turbo? if one of you skyline gurus could confirm this that would be great! Thanks in advance!! ?
  11. Are you running the stock BOV? my old r33 had the standard BOV and had similar issues.. must of been slightly leaking sometimes (was 20+ years old so did a good job) Replaced with a new aftermarked one and problem solved
  12. www.taarks.com would be the place to contact about the tailshaft centre bearing. Also I would remove the tailshaft yourself if you can, just to save a little bit of labour costs. its only 6 bolts to get it out and you can jack the back of the car up high enough so the oil doesnt leak out of your gearbox. any qualified mechanic can replace the bearing as it is quite a simple job. tbh though I would be getting it properly diagnosed first as ive never heard of a centre bearing making a chatter noise. i would be getting underneath and having a good look first, the chatter noise could possibly be the exhaust baffles starting to collapse, just get underneath and give them a good bash with your hand and see if they make any noise. not saying thats definatly it but thats what I would be trying first mate. Hope you get it sorted and its just something simple
  13. 32202-B950A is the nissan part number for the spigot. before installing you need to press oil through the bearing until it sort of bubbles through, i have done many nissan clutches and always just used engine oil for the spigot and never had any issues.
  14. the n/a gearbox is the smaller rb20 type gearbox with a push type clutch, turbo r34's come out with a much stronger and physically larger gearbox that has a pull type clutch.
  15. are you using the correct procedure to lubricate the spigot bush before installing?
  16. Hey guys! Awesome thread, glad to see there's a decent na+t guide for r34s now. I have been slowly collecting parts for about 12 months now getting ready to do the conversion, just have 1 question regarding the intake manifold. I have been told that na neo heads have much smaller intake ports and that the DET neo intake manifold holes don't line up probably. Can anyone confirm this? Can you just leave the intake runners on and swap over the top half? Not keen on running the y pipe over the motor. Thanks in advance
  17. such an awesome build thread! gives me so much motivation love the car, definitely one of the best r33's around. cant wait to see more updates!
  18. Very nice mate, makes me kinda want a 2 door r34 now . love where its heading cant wait to see more updates!
  19. Thanks for the fast reply mate Also just wondering where abouts you got the oil feed from? Thats awesome man!! would be interesting to get it on a dyno and see how much power it makes
  20. can anyone shed a bit more light on the water/oil feeds and returns please? just wondering what oil line you tapped into near the filter? I was assuming you meant the stock oil cooler block thing where the oil filter screws on but my rb25deNEO doesn't have one. was considering using an aftermarket oil cooler as mentioned above but trying to get away without using one. Also where do you return the water line back into? the other heater hose? sorry for the noob questions just been scratching my head over this for a few months now lol
  21. Cant wait to see the finished product! keep up the good work.
  22. Hey guys, ive got a r33 s1 and wondering what turbo you would recommend for about 230-260kw, stock internals with associated mods. looking for something nice and responsive and want to run 12-16 psi max. oh and anyone know any good tuners around the goldcoast/Brisbane area? sorry this has probably already been covered somewhere in here already but i got sick of going through all the pages lol. Cheers, Matt
