Who could be bothered spending another $50 to put the cars on the same dyno when Jez has essentially done that by overlaying the graphs... I think with a bit of timing pulled for safety it was only doing about 237rwkw or so on back to back hot runs. Kasko, perhaps get one of stao's wastegate mods and see if it will hold 20 psi all the way? Then i daresay you graph will be more impressive. I had one of the wastegate mods on originally and it held a solid 21psi from memory, but i didnt want that much boost so it got taken off. Dunno what happened to it though otherwise i would give it to you...

Yeh, Tis a little laggier than I was hoping but it's still good. I wonder how long it will take me to decide I want to go bigger haha

So it wasnt breathing in the fuel fumes from my injectors etc for a solid few hours that made youre throat sore... I think you are contagious prior to actually feeling cold symptoms, so I hope i dont get sick now considering you were in my car for ages spreading your cold everywhere haha!!

Got it tuned on the weekend and made 248.4 rwkw

I wasnt really expecting to get a result similar to an ss1pu, they are like $700 more and are a superior turbo. You would expect them to outperform a standard hi flow easily. Im happy with the result, but if I ever get over this setup (highly doubt I will for a while) theres always the option to sell up and go bigger with something like gtx3076 later on if I wanna chase a larger number.

Wrecking: 1996 R33 Gtst - Melbourne

Have you got a fuel filter bracket? -
Yeh the ss turbo's build boost faster but can't seem to hold it as well uptop. I had one of staos wastegate mods on initially but the boost wouldn't go below 20+ psi...

here is my dyno graph from yesterday. The car is a 96 r33 gtst and has the op6 standard hi flow, nismo 555cc injectors, nismo fuel pump, blitz turnflow cooler (heat wrapped pipes), full 3" exhaust and a metal intake. Real happy with the result, thanks Jez!

Cheers mate, fingers crossed I don't have any unexpected problems...

What else did recommend besides the wastegate extension? Interested to see if it can help hold boost up top!

Vinyl Wrap Recomendations
Mitcho_7 replied to ClutchBurndout-:('s topic in Exterior & Interior Styling
Let us know how it goes, I've always liked the idea of a jdm style black bonnet for my 33 gtst. This seems like a good solution instead of buying a whole new bonnet as long as its removable without damaging the paint work. -
I don't really use the music as motivation, but I like listening to raw fm while at the gym

Rb25 Gcg Hiflowd Turbo With 14Psi Actuator
Mitcho_7 replied to Tim805's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
Agreed, some rb25dets don't even make that with a hi flowed stock turbo. -
Scotty made me a metal intake and it fitted perfectly with the stock airbox on my 33, but I'm running a pod with a box around it now.
-
Yep, should bolt straight on and they have a bigger turbine housing than the standard rb20 turbo so you will get a bit more power out of it. Keep the rb20 actuator though and it Would definitely be worthwhile to get a retune once you put it in. I have one I'm willing to sell for $200 plus postage ($20 or so). It was never boosted past the stock level of 7psi and was only in the car for 105,000km Let me know if you're interested.

At least you now know how good it'll be! Or you can spice it up and go water/meth injection instead...

Wheel Sizes & Offsets For Skylines
Mitcho_7 replied to Sydneykid's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Thanks for the advice, what if I went 9.5 +38 all round with a 245/40? From what I can tell the rears will sit pretty much flush with the guards so perhaps the only concern will be the fronts ? -
Pretty sure new rotas/ varrstoens are about $1100 or so...
-
I may be able to help with the bov/return pipe/stock intake pipe if r33 gtst gear is interchangeable with r32 gtst, which I'm pretty sure it is.

Wheel Sizes & Offsets For Skylines
Mitcho_7 replied to Sydneykid's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Looking at getting some new rims for my r33 gtst, Im not keen on having to get guards rolled or pumped and want to have the wheels sit flush for legality. I have been told by a few people to look at 18x9.5s all round in offset of about +30 to +38 or f 18x8.5 and r18x9.5 in similar offsets. Ideally, I'd like a non staggered fitment and to run something like a 235 or 245 with maybe a 40 or 45 profile. However if that causes fitment issues in the front then I'm happy to go 8.5s in the front and obviously a skinnier tyre to suit. Just wondering who has run wheels in these sizes/offsets/tyre sizes on a 33 gtst? Any other opinions on the above are appreciated as well -
Let me know if you find anyone willing to do small paintwork jobs for a reasonable price!
-
I would be surprised if it doesn't have some sort of ecu upgrade, or it's gonna run like shit... I reckon expand the limits of the search to include nsw and there will be some nice gtst's for 9k. The n/a skylines are more $$$ in nsw because of the p plate laws Or steer him towards the white r32 for sale on here...
