Sounds Like A Cat Noise When Boosting
Mitcho_7 replied to AngryRB's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
I think this issue is contributing to your turbos laziness as well. Hopefully it's something simple and you can get it all sorted. See if you can borrow a bov off someone to rule that out, but I don't think it will be the major issue. -
300Kw Unopened 25 Club...

That's a nice looking graph, is it an external gate? -
If a car is rego'd in act can it be defected in nsw or vice versa? I always thought the pod had to be boxed. I know height adjustable suspension is illegal no matter what and they measure ride height from the lowest point on the car from memory. If that's your exhaust then I'd say it sounds legit. I think you were lucky you didn't have to tak it to an inspection station.

Changed Injectors And Now Car Seems To Be In Limp Mode?
Mitcho_7 replied to matsonjb's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
It might be worth resetting your tps and checking your timing to rule those things out -

What about looking for a cheaper 4x4 for towing or something? You will miss the skyline if you sell it -

What Clutch Do You Have?
Mitcho_7 replied to W0rp3D's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
I have a jb full Monty carbotic and I have absolutely no trouble driving it on a daily basis. It was pretty close to the floor initially, but Dvs Jez adjusted the freeplay on the clutch when I was getting a tune and it was heaps better to drive after that. -
Could a restriction somewhere be causing the slow boost pick up?
-
WMI can help with cleaning that off from what i have seen and as an added bonus you get more power! If you go WMI, keep a copy of your current tune so you can revert back to it later on if you decide to ditch the WMI. That way you dont have to pay for another tune.
-
^ Have you had your tune touched up since you put the type b rear housing on your g3? or are you not going to worry?
-
I've always liked the idea of having a clapper light. For ages I thought only rich & successful people in movies had them but now normal folk can have them as well. You know you have succeeded at life when you have clapper lights!
-
Pretty sure it's external gate

What rpm are you hitting full boost on? I'm on my phone at the moment so I can't really see the graphs that well... Wmi/e85 if you can get it could be worth a try, but is that going to give you more response which I assume is what you are after? The .63 rear and e85/wmi will keep you up around the same sort of top end I would think but I'm no expert. I remember reading about Matt from nistune' r34 gtt making around 290rwkw or possibly more running a gtx3071 in .63 on pulp with poncams. The thread is over on the nistune forums, but from what i remember reading his car has always made more power than expected from the mods he did.

Car Unstable Especially At High Speeds

Hicas delete wise, look at getting a tomei lock kit. They are a little more discrete than a big lock bar and you won't get the hicas light on the dash either. -

Mitcho_7 replied to AngryRB's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Just thinking out loud, Did you put new longer studs in the exhaust manifold flange when you installed the turbo? I'm guessing you would have, but If not the old studs might be stretching because of the weight of the new turbo and it being spaced out etc. That could make it leak and cause the sound. -
I think it's worthwhile. The thread will help gauge support. But if we really wanna try and push for e85 to be more readily available nationwide, we will also need something well written and succinct to go to the state governments and fuel suppliers with lots of signatures etc showing support for it.
-
Let's all write stern worded letters to the local governments and caltex on a weekly basis to get this gross oversight fixed! Probably be better to use the environmentally conscious approach rather than saying you want more power for your car though...

Rb25Det Or Rb25Det Neo In R33 Na?
Mitcho_7 replied to Shannond's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Is there much rewiring needed to put the neo in an r33 s2 or are they mostly the same in that regard? -
From the results I have seen, wmi looks comparable to e85 for top end but if your injecting progressively based on boost you won't get the off boost increases that e85 gives. If given the choice out of both I would go e85 without question, but wmi seems like a good solution for non e85 areas.

Why not just make a box for around the pod filter? Then keep your airbox etc in case you ever want to change back...
-
I'm sure Scotty could do the same design in 4", PM him to discuss it. Like you said, you are running an afm like a z32 in the standard position, so your intake will have to be 80mm at some point to be able to connect the afm. Just get a 4" to 3" silicone reducer for one end of the intake.

this what your after? http://carmate.com/product_details.php?productid=NSGTS97NGFL

I didnt notice that before, but yeh when you look at it everything is opposite haha This seems to happen to everyone...

Best Looking Wheels On An R33 Gtst
Mitcho_7 replied to Nick033's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
GTR wheels are 9" +30 all round from memory and they fit on gtst's without any work im pretty sure So, 9" at the front should be ok with a 235 tyre, thats a real high off set though. Not real sure on the 10" on the rear, I have only really seen 9.5" on the back. IMO With those offsets, they arent going to look great if they do fit, unless you run spacers.
