It'll be fine. You are probably measuring the OD of the bov return, Its ID is obviously going to be smaller. Regardless, it will still do the job. Stock bov or gtr stock bov are IMO the best options, why did you change?
-
I can see where you're coming from. Regardless, i think it's best to alternate between using barbells and dumbells every other week to get the benefits of both and for variety
-
I would disagree with both of those things. You can lower the bar wherever you want on your chest, just change your shoulder and arm position. Also, i would have thought the wider your hands are the more focus you take off your triceps. Otherwise why would you do close grip bench for triceps? You need less range of motion through triceps to get the bar to your chest the wider your hands are and the wider your hands are the more the focus you put on your pecs. You can do all this with dumbells just as easily as a barbell. I still think that if you want to build anterior delts, do something that anterior delts is going to be the prime mover in eg shoulder press...
-
Can someone explain to me how there is any difference between a barbell bench press and a dumbell bench press in terms of delt development? I would have thought the fact that both arms are pushing the exact same weight (not one side being able to compensate for the other) that if anything, you would be getting more even development. IMPO Dumbells also help to build strength in stabilizer muscles alot more than barbells. But thats not to say barbells dont have there place, I usually alternate between barbell one week and bumbell the next for most exercises that can be done with either. Also, if you want to build anterior delts why not just do shoulder presses and military presses?

are these the child restraint things? If not, what are they because they came with my car and I have no idea what they are...

Thank god you are keeping it, it's too nice to sell... -
Look in the rb25det dyno thread to get an idea, that's what it's there for!
-
The emu apparently isn't a nice unit to get working well, but it could be ok if you take it to status
-
I reckon about 270kw, but I think bigger injectors would be a wise investment long term and to give you some safety. Im not sure if you're walbro is up to the task or not though to be honest. Just get a bigger one anyway so you dont have to worry about it and that way when you want a bigger turbo you wont need to update again! Im not going to go the e85 route til theres more places in canberra that sell it...

Interested to here how it goes! Also, Pat how goes the progress on that bigger segway?

Tyres you use(d) and how u would rate them
Mitcho_7 replied to ZigenGT's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
You can put whatever width tyre you want on your rims. For 8" rims I dont think you would want to go any wider than 235, you can choose whatever profile you want. -
They go for about $550 or so. Most places seem to do a drive in drive out install and tune package for $1100 which is about the cost of a second hand fc with a hand controller.

Any sort of leak will be causing some issues. Get it fixed up and get it on the dyno to make sure everything is fine would be the best idea I think. You might make more power as well, which is never bad!
-
The ss2 stao posted the graph of a few pages back was an internal gate setup, but I thought Stao always reccomended to run ss2's externally gated?

That smoke tester must come in so handy despite its pricetag and save you so many headaches trying to disgnose issues.

If you want rsr's get in touch with damo at racing ready, he got them going at a good price at the moment! Also for 18x8 rims you probably need nothing bigger than a 235/40 18. -
Install For Tomei 256 Poncams And Apexi Safc

You also paid to have the board soldered into the 32 ecu though or you did it yourself? -
Damn son...
-
Get in contact with nistune and see if they have any z32 ecu's laying around. There is a specific version of the z32 ecu that tends to work a bit better so ask them which one it is if they arent able to supply one. If they cant supply one then source the correct type one from somewhere and send it to nistune to solder in the nistune board (you pay them for the board and labor obviously). There may even be a few in the for sale section at the moment from memory. Then it's just plug n play. If you're in Canberra the only place that does nistunes is Autotech out at Hume. When I asked them about the nistuned z32 ecu into an r33 gtst they didn't know a lot about it, so I went interstate.

Are you only running lower boost for engine safety/so you won't blow your engine? If so, wind in 18 psi and take it to a good tuner and it should be fine. Running more boost will give you a much fatter mid range (which you say you want) and utilize the poncams more as well, win win situation I say!
-
If you have the mbc set to bleed no air then it will run off the wastegate pressure (5psi I think), unless you change the actuator
-
If you wan to run the stock boost setting you can also get rid of the mbc all together and just run the vac hose from the intercooler pipe straight to the actuator.
-
On idle and cruising im pretty sure the blowby gets sucked back into the intake plenum through the PCV valve, as the plenum is in vacuum. On boost the plenum will obviously not be in vaccum and thats when it goes out through the rocker cover breathers to catch can/plumbed back to intake pipe.
