  1. FYP brah! Nice meeting you mate
  2. Ive done quite a few k's in piggies car & i also pulled the racepace exhaust off his car. I can tell you its a well made unit and fits like a glove! This exhaust sounds horny as hell! Ive gotta say its not exactly the quietest exhaust on idle but somehow its volume really doesn't change that much when you're up it! Dont have to tell you all this is a rare 1 off exhaust system that will make your R sound fat as hell! Now hurry up and buy this thing so Paul can give me the monies to make him a new exhaust!
  3. ^^^ LOL dude are you delusional?!
  4. If the track has corners bye bye R32 Micky The Yanks are pulling 10's with the stock 9 turbo
  5. So buy yours and turn the wick up and post some results!
  6. ^^^^ Thats awesome news! Just have to finish plumbing my gates in now,the back half of the exhaust & then hook the oil and water lines onto the turbo and im in business
  7. The secrets out the bag now big dawg EFR FTW!!! Really can't wait to finish that EFR setup on that shitbox evo of mine and get into this thing
  8. So heres my custom manifold and 3.5" dump pipe i made for my Evo 9 1.05 EWG 7670 hopefully I'll have some results in a few weeks turbo is tilted as its hard as hell to fit these EFR's are a bitch to fit into an evo engine bay lol
  9. Firstly im gunna apologize for my behavior even though Mr Skids started the aggressive personal attacks on me 1st. Guess it shows how passionate about this shit we are huh? Mr skids i believe you are blaming the wrong side of the turbo for the heat. Most of this heat will be caused by turbine pressures which obviously back up into the exhaust manifold causing the excessive engine temps. Yes in a street scenario you probably wont have these issues as having a blast here and there wont heat things up anywhere near what a track situation would. BUT i do believe this back pressure hurts how the car can be tuned as such and also effects how the car drives off boost too. Im gunna jump platforms here and use my Evo as an example here also. I believe its very relevant example as its a much more efficient setup from factory without the packaging issues the GTR suffers from (probably 1 of the most formidable factory turbo setups on any car) Companies like forced performance make stock replacement turbos for Evos which make huge numbers and have guys pulling 8 second quarters and will be far more responsive in comparison to a "big twins setup" on a GTR. Im using this as an example because these stock replacement setups on the track seem more prone to lunching engines even with the same power figures as custom T3/T4 setups which don't suffer the back pressures in the turbines (which backs Simons theory up 100%) even on a completely different platform.
  10. Great posts Simon! You pretty much confirm what ive been trying to say about the limitations of the stock position/bolt on GTR turbos when you start looking for 450kw or more on twins the choking turbines cant cope
  11. Lol at this fool! You know absolutely nothing about me or what im capable of or who I work for. You've produced absolutely no evidence as there is no evidence its all hear say! Thats why you've done nothing but speculate results in this entire thread and why you are waiting to see other people spend their hard earnt on the turbos and see their results ya muppet! If ya so sure of yourself why not just get your turbos? When i asked you your claim to fame i got a fapstick reply? So whats your experience with cars & why should somebody believe Mr Skidmarkz over Mick_O? Pretty sure theres quite a few guys who could vouch for my experience and knowledge in here. How many can vouch for you? As for the graph you posted as proof that i didn't know SHIT. The owner of that car wished he just went a single a little birdy told me
  12. Lol you're a f**kwit mate simple! This isn't wasting space on the thread at all! People need more than just your opinion on here. Clearly yours is uneducated & now you've got nothing to argue you wanna get all "PM" on me! Be sure to post your results and prove me wrong soon as you stop sitting on the fence and dreaming up what these "hybrid turbos" will do with all your theories!
  13. How is a GTX2863 crammed in a 707160 -5 foreign housing an 88lb turbo ??? GARRETT DID NOT PROVIDE ANYONE A COMPRESSOR MAP FOR A GTX2863 IN A DASH 5 HOUSING! ! its that simple. I rest my case! Ahhhh thanks that was refreshing! Thanks for proving my point without even realizing it Now back to the gym for more benching bro. Or maybe you need those muscles to dig your argument into a deeper hole!
  14. Who said anything about winning races? You are the 1 who posted up a graph telling me i didn't know SHIT & that im posting misleading information yeah? You posted a graph of 88lb GTX turbos running 33psi of boost & then i mentioned a set of 72lb GT turbos running 28psi making more power. Can you see where im going with this? Hate to break it to ya mate but i setup cars for a living and have been working in 1 of the most reputable shops in this land/ possibly in the world who sell parts globally and setup the worlds fastest time attack cars. So im not just some internet muppet staring at graphs making assumptions talking shit via a keyboard. Whats your claim to fame?
  15. Lol what does that prove? Clearly you know f**k all as there was nothing misleading in what i said so LMFAO Pauls -5 results beat that so whats ya point? As good a result as it may be its not setting the world on fire nor is it proving that the effort gone into f**king around with GTX's to bolt on is worth while. In fact it makes my point very valid because shitty old -5's still beat it!
  16. Can you see a reoccurring theme here? You put bigger wheels into smaller housings and they fail. Simple as that! Hate to break it to you guys but billet GTX wheels aren't the magic cure for the issues that plague the stock configuration like you are dreaming up. Look at Gavin here he's ditched the factory plumbing and "HEY PRESTO" hello to some response & power! Garrett obviously put these compressor wheels into these comp covers for a reason don't you think? But the big issue which you keep overlooking is the turbine housings. GTX wheels require higher pressure ratios to make the power over the old GT series its well documented and i have experienced it 1st hand with my own GT-GTX experience. Now how do you get your turbine to keep up with your magic billet compressor wheel??? Let me answer that for you just in case you're unsure? YOU CANT WITH THE FACTORY GTR REAR OR -5 REAR THE GTX WHEELS OUT FLOW THOSE TURBINES!!!
  17. Damn they should help put down the big blocks power!!!! Are you sure you will be able to afford that titanium intake now?
  18. Nice work Joey looking forward to seeing the beast running! Might even be done before this EFR goes on the evo lol Whens she heading over to Yodas?
  19. LOL! SERIOUSLY?! What do you think would change dramatically with the tune with higher E content? Have you driven a well sorted 2.8L to compare to a 2.6L? I don't believe you have otherwise you would not be arguing the fact that any capacity increase in a RB is nothing but a good thing?!
  20. Lol dont listen to the lag man! He thinks the midrange is above 5000rpm!
  21. Go for the 1.0 rear mate if you are chasing north of 500kw and a proper twin scroll set up (twin gates) will net best response and boost control
  22. I'm of the opinion that building a 2.6L or 2.7L would be a waste of time. (Sure a 2.6L if the budget is tight & want the "safety" of stronger internals) But buying a kit for 100cc seems ridiculous! If you are gunna build, build as big as possible if you want the down low torque and response. Seems you are limiting yourself turbo wise with the above mentioned turbos? Whats your power goal and what fuel do you plan on burning?
  23. MOOORE BOOST!!!! 25psi is for girls! 30 or bust Pete!
