  1. First link points to a drift wheel?? - http://www.ebay.com/itm/141484203271
  2. or a Nissan dealer - Lakeside had a set of RB25DET ones in stock when I needed them. Price was reasonable.
  3. Son shipped a V6 engine with E-Go last year. We bolted it to a wooden pallet using coach bolts & steel strips, then wrapped the lot in pallet wrap. You can buy a roll of pallet wrap plastic from Savill Packaging at Pooraka - behind Research Rd - for around $30. You won't use anywhere near the full roll. Wooden pallets can be found for free in the local industrial areas - try Cormack Rd at Dry Creek.
  4. +1 for Aaron Almeida - although he was working for himself at Prospect when we used him. Got my son's dangerous driving charge downgraded to drive without due care (with no suspension and a small fine). Also got us out of paying impound fees. Reasonable cost, and seems to know his stuff. I would use him again (but hope I don't have to).
  5. I'm guessing you actually want to know the size, despite not asking that. They are 8"
  6. The OP listed the fronts as 18x8, not 7.5??
  7. What is the rim offsets, and what size centre bore?
  8. From the Revenue SA site: The value to declare for a second hand motor vehicle is calculated on the higher of either the purchase price or the market value, including any improvements. The applicant must declare the value of the motor vehicle as at the date of the Application to Transfer Registration. The onus is on the person making the declaration to ensure that the value stated is a true representation of the value of the motor vehicle. Organisations such as the Motor Trade Association, Redbook and the RAA can provide assistance when determining the value of a motor vehicle. If RevenueSA is not satisfied with the value declared, a reassessment of stamp duty can be made. RevenueSA does not provide any valuation services. So if they think you are underquoting the value, they will increase it. Also if you quote the purchase price in Japan, they can up it to the current Australia market value.
  9. Anyone on here had any dealings with this mob? They are in Pooraka, they make car trailers, and advertise a lot on Gumtree. Just after some feedback on them.
  10. You wouldn't need to if you
  11. Pretty sure I quoted this part number in post #3 above: 15213-W040A is the RB30 one (actually it's a pack of 2 of them - not sure why but they don't sell them individually) That's ok, no need to thank me.....
  12. Sorry - no idea on a GTR, ours is a GTST and while access is tight it was easy enough without removing anything else.
  13. Run your hand under the oil sandwich plate & see if there is oil there. We have an oil cooler, and an o-ring on one of the plugs in the sandwich plate (the ones you remove to fit a pressure or temp sensor) had broken. The oil ended up as far back as the middle of the car. Bear in mind that (unless you reverse really fast) the oil will go backwards as you drive, so look for the forward-most point with oil on it & your leak will probably be somewhere close by.

  15. ^^^ I've got a matched pair of RPM 5 point harnesses for sale. They are just on 2 years old, but are SFI spec so out of date for CAMS use. they don't have the spring clips on the mounting points, but instead have bolt-in plates (ie remove a seat belt bolt, put it through the plate on the end of the harness, bolt it back in). They don't include eye-bolts ('cause they don't need them). They have a "duck-bill" style latch, and the straps are red. These are the ones: http://www.revolutionracegear.com.au/index.php?PCID=10413&PSO=245&PSID=9193133&PSV=Primary&CDO= They were only used three times (actually the passenger side one was only used once). Bought them for a rally-cross event as they were mandatory, then used the drivers one for a track day & a hillclimb. They are as new, except for the date. Looking for $80 for both, or $50 each.
  16. Where did you get the bungs to cover the holes in the floor?
  17. I made my own:
  18. should a run a lager tap to make sure the threads are good When you run that lager tap, invite us all over. Make sure the lager is cold though - can't stand warm beer.
  19. I was selling it, and shipping to the buyer. It was great - looked good & worked very good.
  20. Look on the bright side - if your username is literal it will be a killer when it's finished
  21. An Akebono kit will be well over 30kg - I shipped one a few months ago and it was 69kg including packaging. Most of this is the rotors, so you could consider buying them here & getting the calipers & pads in the US. It would also chew up pretty much all of your budget on its own.
  22. The gearbox comes out easier if the motor is tilted (up at the front, down at the rear), but tilitng the motor too far can squash the heater hose between the motor & firewall. You may well be right about the mechanic.
  23. When we fitted an external oil cooler, we unplugged the loom to the coilpacks (near the firewall), and cranked it over for a while. I'd think that as long as it won't start while cranking you should be fine. This is just my opinion - I'm sure one of the experts will be along soon to tell us how wrong I am....
