or why not hold dumbells (2 x 25kg etc) above shoulders like doing a shoulder press and then squat like that? or even, using the fixed barbells for squats without a cage, cos they usually aren't so heavy that you need a cage anyway and still are solid squats. just not the weight...but can focus on reps

TBH golden century is a premium price for a product you could get elsewhere for just as good but say half the cost.....namely hurstville, burwood, cabra, etc etc. @jimmy , dude you're so close to hurstville/beverly hills they have heaps of good chinese restos, no need for the city!

well i was actually benching my lowest weight, but this was at the end of my workout so I kind of did AND didn't take that into account. I know that now.......hah....

someone should have told me about the 'stop 1 from your max reps' rule before, the other week i was doing bench and then I got to 7/10 and at the top of 7, i thought "hold on i'm tired maybe ill let it down slowly to rest and then i can push back up" = ended up with holding the bar above my chest, only able to push it up halfway and not high enough to set back on the racks...guy from the next rack came to help me.

menya mappen is a japanese udon/soda bar (more of a bar than resto), with a don-version (rice bowls) next to it. cheap quick and very tasty, it's right next to george st cinemas so that should be pretty close to where you work? google that, you will find a multitude of reviews (most if not all positive)! the snag stand in westfield sydney is quite nice, but it, like all the other places in the food court, are a bit (s)wanky - i really can't justify paying 7-9$ for a hot dog.....

Terry - L O L .... your stories are both hilarious and very concerning at the same time. There comes a point when oldies driving is so obviously a danger to themselves and others, yet you cannot deny them from driving because for many it is their only way of transport/ it would be discrimination (or at least people would say so) to ban them from doing so. Subjecting them to frequent tests is a good idea yet slightly flawed - just look at the red Ps test, *some* kids drive like the most sensible person EVERRRRRRR during your test but as soon as they stick that plate on ZOOM ZOOM!
