Other forums aren't part of CAMS affiliated clubs that actually have a public reputation to uphold.

Did you even read the first post? You've missed the point completely.

yes i did read the first post thank you very much.

I know other forums are not a part of this, but i was speaking in general.

ok so can someone clear this up for me, i guess im a little slow.

when i rip donuts in the middle of the princes hwy and warrigul rd intersection, do i need to remove my stickers? or is this OK?

Having a lapse of brain function Alex :P

One would think that its "not" ok :D

Haha you and me both, I read the SE Suburbs R34 GT-T and I'm thinking.....I bet they think it was ME :D

Not like you can miss my car though, that and I have no battarazies :D

LOL... the thought crossed my mind that it could have been u, then i thought nahh u drive like a bitch in the wet :( Then I thought Pete was a contender, but he's not SE suburbs.. so then I thought hmm... SS8_Gohan!?

I wanna know dammit!

who woulda thought that after reading this post last night that graeme woulda pulled me over in the divvie van this morning to say g'day!

oh and still no speeding fines! just said g'day!

i dont wana ruin the fun, cause i wana no who it is to

but is it exactly legal for members of vic police to discuss confidental information..?? i.e tell other ppl who the person was, and then for those people to put it on an internet forum ?

i dont think graeme would have told anybody including the info on this post any info that would be classified confidential. he didnt say anything to me this mornin apart from that he will get him.

1: I agree with the other ppl above about pple flaming others for "hoonish" behaviour. I reckon that ne1 that owns a skyline has at least done something stupid on the road whether it be dragging or drifting or wateva.

Im really against ppl criticising other's for their behaviour when they themselves are guilty, a point i have been arguing with DEZZ about. If u urself have never done nething, then and only then does it give u the right to criticise.

I'll admit it, when i first got my line i was the biggest hoon eva, drag, drift basically everytime i drove. Then i came to SAU and i realised how serious these offenced were and i stopped. Since joining SAU, i rarely speed now and never drag or drift or nething like that.

Altho this individuals behaviour is appalling i think that it would be harsh to bann him without proper proof that he was the individual. He is unlikely to ever admit it so if u go by heirsay u could easily bann the wrong person.

But yea, if u are going to be a hoon, jeopodise urself but plz dont jeopodise SAU and all the hard work members have done to make it a highly respected car club

ooh ok  i misread before then, i thought they were gonna publicly anounce it or something.

I think if they told who it was, he will have to go into hiding for the rest of his life, most of the people here were def not happy....

The only people who might know would probably be the committee members - but i doubt they will release the name.

So I guess we just have to leave it at that, and move on....

There is a time and a place for everything fritter you f*cktard, and having club members like Graeme that also have the opportunity to influence his colleagues is extremely rare. He has been a positive contributor to the forum and gives legitimacy to our club values and ethos of keeping it off the street. We cannot afford to drag down his reputation when he is defending ours by supporting the member who so idiotically broke the law. What he has done is wrong.

I disagree with this statement slightly; the Police should not stereotype all Car Clubs as bad or condoning illegal street behaviour and judge the club by how the club is run. Are you implying that if a Car Club has no Police Officers as members and willing to vouch for the club then it should be viewed as a bad club?

Running the GT Car Club I know how hard it is to keep the hoons away. We have also tried very hard to maintain a good public image. It is very difficult when all the hard work is blown away from a few idiots that chose to become associated with us.

But realistically it is impossible to have a Perfect Club, there will always be hoons. I believe this is a scenario where you have to take the good and bad and just try your best to filter out the bad.

As for Graeme comments I agree with you mate, that R34 GTT is a fool but you cannot hold SAU responsible in any form. There are no screening tests when you become a Member. I do find when 90% of the people are well behaved it actually deters majority of the idiots away. Majority but not all. The idiots dont fit in and dont usually come back.

On another note, I am sure you also know there are some Police out there that give Police a bad name. I see one of the roles of being a Police Officer is to be a good role model for the general public but there are a set of rules for police and then another set for everyone else.

I had an unmarked car weaving in and out of traffic along the Eastern Fwy just yesterday as I said to my passenger "Look at this idiot" we then realised it was an unmarked Police Car. It happens time and time again. Maybe they can legally drive this way being a Police Officer, I don't know?

Graeme would you approach and report a Police Officer who drove inappropriately?

I am not defending hoons or having a go at Police but just simply saying we live in an imperfect world, there will always be hoons and there will always be Police that abuse their powers.

I don't stereotype all Police from the few that abuse their powers and neither should they do the same regarding SAU.

I say sack our President. Jamezilla has dropped the ball and beign as he is personally responsible for the actions of memers....

Keep it in your pants, simple as that. Just like if you were in a Telstra van and pulling burnouts. A sticker on your car shows you are affiliated with our club...but outside of that, members are individuals with different personalities, ages and likes.

So banning ppl is silly. Cancelling membership is silly. Next you will say ppl that get done for drunk and disorderly (whatever its called) should be banned because. Thats me when im roaming the streets of Sheps with the leftovers of my 6 pack, trying to find the hotel wearing my SAU jacket as its -4 deg C.

:dry::rofl::laugh::wub:

wow spicey thread this one!!,

who cares about the r34 guy that was speeding, im sure you all have done it before?

the way i see it the stickers only say www.skylinesaustralia.com dont they?

other motorists automaticly put you into a "hoon" catagory just by the car you drive and NOT a sticker on the back window or how you drive it.

point is most other motorists wouldnt have a clue what it ment or give 2 shits about our club anyway and police will always hate anything turbo

Its kind of like racism you get your good and your bad in every bunch and there is nothing you can really do about it.

come on guys lets face it we didnt get a skyline because they are fuel efficiant and have a nice leather interior, we got them because yeah they look nice but f**k they have good trannies and motors too, hence sometimes going a little faster then you should.

however SPEEDING IN THE RAIN/WET ROADS IS JUST STUPID and that guys was a complete tool =)

    • I thought that might be the case, thats what I'll start saving for. Thanks for the info
    • Ps i found the below forum and it seems to be the same scenario Im dealing with. Going to check my ECU coolant temp wire tomorrow    From NICOclub forum: s1 RB25det flooding at start up Thu Apr 11, 2013 7:23 am I am completely lost on this. Car ran perfectly fine when I parked it at the end of the year. I took the engine out and painted the engine bay, and put a fuel cell with an inline walbro 255 instead of the in tank unit I had last year. After reinstalling everything, the engine floods when the fuel pump primes. if i pull the fuel pump fuse it'll start, and as soon as I put the fuse back in it starts running ridiculously rich. I checked the tps voltage, and its fine. Cleaned the maf as it had some dust from sitting on a shelf all winter, fuel pressure is correct while running, but wont fire until there is less than 5psi in the lines. The fuel lines are run correctly. I have found a few threads with the same problem but no actual explanation of what fixed it, the threads just ended. Any help would be appreciated. I found the problem though. There was a break in one of the ecu coolant temp sensor wires. Once it was repaired it fired right up with no problems. I would have never thought a non working coolant temp sensor would have caused such an issue.
    • Hi sorry late reply I didnt get a chance to take any pics (my mechanics on the other side of the city) but the plugs were fouled from being too rich. I noticed the MAF wasn't genuine, so I replaced it with a genuine green label unit. I also swapped in a different ignitor, but the issue remains. I've narrowed it down a bit now: - If I unplug and reconnect the fuel lines and install fresh spark plugs, the car starts right up and runs perfectly. Took it around the block with no issues - As soon as I shut it off and try to restart, it won't start again - Fuel pressure while cranking is steady around 40 psi, injectors have good spray, return line is clear, and the FPR vacuum is working. It just seems like it's getting flooded after the first start I unplugged coolant sensors to see if its related to ECU flooding but that didnt make a difference. Im thinking its related to this because this issue only started happening after fixing coolant leaks and replacing the bottom part of the stock manifolds coolant pipe. My mechanic took off the inlet to get to get to do these repairs. My mechanics actually just an old mate who's retired now so ill be taking it to a different mechanic who i know has exp with RBs to see if they find anything. If you have any ideas please send em lll give it a try. Ive tried other things like swapping the injectors, fuel rail, different fuel pressure regs, different ignitor, spark plugs, comp test and MAF but the same issue persists.
    • My return flow is custom and puts the return behind the reo, instead of at the bottom. All my core is in the air flow, rather than losing some of it up behind the reo. I realise that the core really acts more as a spiky heatsink than as a constant rate heat exchanger, and that therefore size is important.... but mine fits everything I needed and wanted without having to cut anything, and that's worth something too. And there won't be a hot patch of core up behind the reo after every hit, releasing heat back into the intake air.
