Thanks for everyone for showing their support for SAU-Vic!

We (the committee) do these things for you, the members of SAU-Vic to socialise and help promote our club!

Today was a complete success with a huge turnout and the best weather this side of the equator.

A big thanks to all the committee who put in the hard yards for organising such a great event and extra kudos to James for securing such an excellent location (we're the 1st car club eva to exhibit at Birrarung Mar)! There was a lot of logistical preperation for this and everything worked like clockwork. It really was a sign of the club maturing.

As long as we have the support of the club, the committee will always strive to put on great events.

Yeh, seeing it again reminded me .... it does have a supercallowfragalistic turbo on it...always good to see someone back in their car after they have been off the road for a while

Cant believe me and James didnt make Snowclown and Jesus get into their g strings and wash cars for not winning the Dutton bet. Woudl have been so funny watching them sit down gingerly all week and explaing to ppl how they ended up with red raw sunburnt asses ;)

Thanks to the SAU people for organising the event superbly!! First event with SAU and you guys knew who I was before I even got out of my car!! (Although I missed the entrance on the way in and went through the stupid tolls, thanks to all those running people). ;)

Great to see everyones cars nice and shiney under the thin layer of dust, lol James it really was a great venue, it was the wind. :)

Maddie even helped me on the voting, I think she goes by colors. Oh yes and the sunburn. ;)

Really nice series 2 4 door you got there, was trying to convince my wife into getting one, she didn't want it coz it was a 'skyline' and it's a hoons car :) ...

Was a perfect day for a show & shine, very nice turn out of cars. Thanks to all the committee members for another well organised event. Great to catch up with some people I haven't seen in a while, and chat to some new members as well ;)

Thanks Jack, ;) the 4 door is great cause the boot is huge, it fits the big pram and all the shopping!! I brought it after driving my husbands R33 and became hooked on getting a skyline. ;)

I think i saw u leaving as I rocked up, tidy silver 34 sedan? I thought sweet now i know where the entrance is, but being the "do-right"(read: W@nker) citizen i am, i didnt do the illegal (or so it seemed) right turn. instead did a u-turn through 2 tolls :)

Seemed like some very nice cars, i rocked up late unfortunately and then the parole officer wanted to go to the tiolet @ fed square, come back after an hour and 1/2 or so thinking its still early and theres like 3 cars left :(

Also forgot to get a voting number thingy for my window, not that i would have got anything with my interiorless car :)

James, u have to redeem yourself for the last week of Mo-Vember!!! ;)

Also i forgot to purchase an SAU/Team Wang stubbie holder, can they be bought at the next meet or at the next general meet?

Can they be bought even though im not a wang member? I really need a stubbie holder :D

Hi all, have to say it was a fantastic day and great to see the support of so many nissan owners at today's venue. This was my first time ive come out to an SAU event and have to admit it was awsome. Congrats to James and team for putting on a great show and enjoyed meeting some of the team members. I have filmed some footage of todays event if you guys would like me to put it up let me know how and when and would be happy to do so.

Cheers Val :D

Once again, thanks to everyone who organised the event for securing such a prime location on a spectacular day (minus the wind), and to the chefs for their patience in cooking for all of us on such a tiny BBQ.

Hope everyone had a good time - I know I did:

* running the mini 'which colour is better?' poll

* chatting with Vietnamese exchange students - I really hope they were asking how much the cars were and not how much I was :D

* working out bathroom waiting etiquette

* watching some crazy guy trying to get into the toilets when someone else was in there

* trying to convince ferni that jack's headlights were better :)

* not having to put on sunscreen and not getting burnt - yay melanin!

And if Al's wheels ever go missing, I hope I have a really solid alibi...

Haha, someone barged in on me when i was in there. An old guy kept banging and banging, finally got in "oh, i didn't realise someone was in here"....what, the locked door, red sign and people queing up wasn't enough :D

    • It's funny, as Ive seen plenty of people use them in cheap builds on YT. And they actually go okay, even though a lot of other maxspeedingrods stuff is terrible. Those turbos seem reliable enough, the only part being, a good quality turbo that is "identical" to it, will out perform it day in and day out. In both a lower boost threshold, and the ability to flow more air at the same boost pressure. As a cheap cheap replacement, not a terrible choice. For cheap and shouldn't blow in a day, not terrible (like other eBay/Temu turbos) for low cost and still decent performance, that's where the question comes in to play from the results I've seen. I'd actually find it hilarious to buy one, and strap it to a paddock basher or some other cheap as POS originally NA car, and send it to the moon!
    • The maxpeedingrods turbo is cheap and bolts on to stock parts. I think you just need a bigger silicone coupler for the intake. Its a cheap china turbo, but it's been running on mine for almost 3 years at 16-19 psi.
    • What do they look like right after you've tried to start it with everything connected? Also post photos of what they actually look like.
    • Also wanted to say, my new spark plugs are blackened looks like it's very rich. I have splitfire coilpacks but stock coilpack loom and ignitor. I tried directly grounding the ignitor ground to body as well.
